About: Hi! My name is Chesnut. I’m kind and compassionate and will love caring for your furry buddy. I have grown up taking care of my family’s dogs and have two of my own for the last five years. P.s. If you have a really active dog, I love taking dogs on runs or hikes or long walks. I work from home so available all week long. On weekends my husband and I tend to go hiking, so if the dogs enjoy hikes we will take them, but if not then we can adjust our schedules. We have an unfenced yard for potty breaks (leashed), but will take the dogs to the local dog park for exercise or on leashed walks/hikes.

I moved to Elizabethton just before Thanksgiving to be with my parents and I became the primary caregiver for my father, who has dementia. It’s a responsibility I’m proud to take on. Getting out of the house to walk, play with, and fall in love with your pets is exactly what I need to stay balanced. Since I manage my dad’s daily tasks, I have a very flexible schedule and the time to truly focus on your fur-babies. I’m looking for that 'pet therapy' a reason to get out and about just as much as your pets are looking for a loving caregiver. I’ll be there whenever you need me to even in short notice! Safety and trust are my top priorities. When I am in your home, I am respectful of your space and extremely vigilant about door safety and environment hazards. I am honest about my capabilities; I would never attempt a medical or care task if I wasn't 100% confident I could do it safely. My vehicle is also set up for safety, with plenty of room and when needed a leash that conect to their collar or harness then buckes to the backseat so your pets are secure while we are on the go.

About: I have a long history of in house pet sitting over the last 15 years as well as caring for my own. I feel comfortable with puppies, older dogs, giving medicine and exercising hyper dogs. I have 15 year old super mutt (junkyard dog as we like to say) and a 1.5 year old chocolate lab who are both well socialized and love all dogs. I have an extremely flexible schedule currently. Id love to be walking any dogs during the work day so they are nice and rested when you get home! My pets are beyond spoiled. But I wouldn't have it any other way! I love all dogs and will treat yours like my own! I like to maintain routines for pets and make sure they have a good balance of stimulation and rest.

About: Retired from workforce, former military, active person, daily walks with our dogs—neighborhood, parks, trails. Worked with certified dog trainer for our two dogs. Time on my hands. I am retired and have plenty of time when not playing with our own two dogs and exercising. They are the center of our lives. We have a fenced in back yard for our dogs. Since I am retired, and my wife works part time, I spend most of my time with our dogs. We will not bring client’s pets to our home nor will my wife be a caretaker.

About: Cared for dogs, cats, and various farm animals for many years in a variety of contexts. 31 years old Born and raised in Wilkes county, Appstate grad, traveled the world working on farms, taking care of children, and playing/caring for animals all the while Since I'm a teacher, I am very free during the summer, weekends, and during all the other breaks in the school schedule. During the summer (till mid August) I will be spending large amounts of time either in your home or taking care of pets as the larger portion of my day and night. During the school year, I will be able to provide intensive attention after normal work hours, and rich weekend experiences for your pets. My availability during the different holiday breaks like Spring and Christmas break are much like the summer. I will be sure to respect and follow any instructions given to a tee and deliver prompt communication throughout the entire process. I pride myself on thorough, emphatic, attentive, and fun care of your beloved furry family members.

About: Pet care is my full time job, so I have open availability! I am also a proud owner of a fully trained German Shepard. I’m open to doing dog walking/playtime, day sitting and overnights! About: I’ve always been an animal lover, from horses to reptiles! I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life, and some of the others throughout. We recently lost our dog to cancer at just shy of 13 years old, and I’m currently volunteering as a dog walker at the animal shelter to help fill that void. With the limited hours available there, I thought we could try this avenue as well. I work full time, but my daughter and I would love to find a dog to walk Wednesday through Friday evenings, or weekends! We are available some weekends for dog/cat care while you’re away as well. We love walking dogs, playing fetch, petting them, and providing lots of love. We enjoy playing with cat toys, and giving them plenty of attention as well.

I was a dog trainer (now partially retired), owned my own pet sitting business for many years, fostered/adopted many rescues and I currently volunteer at and support several rescues. Animals are my heart and soul and I will treat your pets as if they were my own. I'm currently working part time and I will make myself available for your pet 24/7 whether it's late night potty trips outside or long walks during the day. I will care for your pets however you would like. I can do long walks, short walks, provide medications, specially prepared meals, play games, etc. I specialized in elderly dogs, hospice dogs and medical needs dogs when I fostered.

About: I have 2 dogs of my own (a mini schnauzer and a cattle dog). I always watch my families pets when they go out of town and they always know they’re in amazing care and are spoiled to the max when gone. They rely on bathing, feeding, walking or letting them out to run in their back yard, clean up accidents, and play with them. I do work full time unless my schedule changes so if it changes and I can always update anyone on that and go earlier if possible. During the week I am available to walk/check in between 7am to 8am before work typically unless my schedule changes and after work would be after 5:30pm unless my schedule changes and I get off earlier and weekends I am completely flexible! I can play with the dogs in your home or your backyard if you have one. Feed and water them if they’re on a schedule. Ensure gates/doors are locked/closed to ensure safety.

About: I've taken care of dogs since I was 8. I absolutely love spending time outdoors and visiting the dog park. I have always enjoyed spending time with animals, and have watched several pets besides my own. I currently attend App State as an IO Psychology Graduate Student, so I have a very flexible schedule. I frequently go for runs at local parks after work, and would love to bring your dog with! I have a backyard, but it is unfenced. However I am willing to take pets to any other locations, such as hiking trails or dog parks. I am able to spend time with pets because all of my free time is spent outdoors! Whether it's taking a walk around the neighborhood, running around a state park, or hanging out in the backyard, I enjoy being outdoors regardless of the weather. I am not able to take dogs into my apartment, however I have a car for easy transportation to nearby outdoor areas. There are so many great options in Boone, I will definitely find a great place to take your dog!
