“Diesel had a wonderful time with Karina and her lovely doggo. It was nice to know that he had a friend and family around him to keep him company. Karina sent regular photos and videos. Karina is great and we’ll definitely use her again. 🐶 🤗”

“Masumi and her family really did take care of my Kodi while I was on a trip. Everyday looking at all pictures and videos from her during the trip, I was so happy to have her as a sitter because I can feel that Kodi was doing great with her and her family + Apple. Also, her short daily report for how Kodi does each day gave me firm assurance. I will definitely ask her again if I need to find a sitter. Thank Masumi!!”

“Very attentive, and gave great updates and feedback throughout stay. Felt very safe and reassured that my pup was taken care of while away. Would recommend to anyone!”
“Kaitlin took great care of my two dogs. One of my dogs is nervous around other dogs, but she helped him gain confidence. They came back very tired after all the fun adventures. Highly recommend! :)”

About: As a pet owner I know the pain of trying to find someone who will care for your beloved pet the way you would while away. I know how hard it can be to find care for pets with regular exercise needs. I am not a professional kennel or dog training. I am a dog mom who will love your pets like they are my own and ensure they have all their needs taken care of while they are in my home. I’ve been around pets for most of my life. My family had pets growing up, and as an adult I’ve pet sit for family and friends for over 20 years. I finally became a pet parent myself in 2022 to a mixed breed cattle dog named Teddy Bear. It was love at first sight, despite our rough start due to issues from him being labeled as a lab mix. I’ve learned from experience that breed matters when it comes to ensuring your dog’s physical as well as emotional needs are properly met. We delt with behavior issues, as well as anxiety, and food issues as Teddy moved through his “teens”. I hired a private trainer only weeks after adopting Teddy, and to this day we still participate in a variety of group training classes through most of the year. Teddy is excellent at Nose work/Scent work and loves the mental stimulation. These training lessons have taught me a lot about patience when working with dogs as well as how to work with dogs on their own level and through their style of communication. Teddy passed the Canine Good Citizen Test at only 9 months old! My motto is you are always training. I use the skills learned in the years of lessons whenever I am around dogs and it’s made me quite popular at the dog parks. My dog goes to hunt bunnies, and I go to pet all the dogs that seem naturally to be drawn to me. I only accept the dogs from 1 home at a time. Your pets will be a part of my family as long as they are under my roof. My life revolves around my dog. Teddy is a fairly high energy dog and this means lots of physical and mental stimulation is required. So we walk everyday rain, shine, or even snow! Unless the weather isn’t safe to be outside, we walk. If your dog isn’t as high energy, that is ok. We typically go places your dog can rest and enjoy the smells while Teddy gets his energy out. I have a hybrid work schedule and generally am in the office Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 12-5pm. My schedule is flexible though so if I know I have to be gone in the evening, I change up my days in the office so I can be home with my dog during the day. I feed the dogs 2x per day. Once in the morning and once in the evening. I have a large fully fenced backyard, and a dog door so the pups can freely roam between inside and out. It’s a bit of a dogs paradise with lots of birds and squirrels roaming about for them to keep tabs on. I do have a medium-large sized crate for dogs that need to be crated. And feed everyone in separate spaces. The couch under my living room window is now permanently the “dogs couch”. Teddy is very good at sharing his toys and beds. There is an overabundance of dog beds throughout my house. My house used to be clean, but then I got a dog. The house now belongs to Teddy and I just live here among his beds and toys. Teddy is great with dogs of all sizes and most temperaments. I describe him as aloof but friendly. He can be playful in spirts if other dogs initiate, and while he loves being around other dogs, is very independent. The only exceptions to his easy-going persona are aggressive dogs, or dogs that have a higher than usual tendency to resource guard. For this reason I cannot except non neutered males as pretty much every instance of aggression we have come across was with a non neutered male. Regardless of size. My neighbors on 2 sides do have dogs as well. So your dogs would meet them through the fence. We have 4 legged friends over on a regular basis, and the neighbor dogs generally love greeting the new friends so long as they are not aggressive. I do allow dogs on my bed as long as I'm not sleeping. My experience has been dogs tend to lay exactly where my legs need to be. So, I usually kick them off just before turning off the lights to allow myself use of my own bed. But if your dog is happy to stay on the other side of the bed without trying to take over my side, they can stay.
“Rochelle was fantastic!! We entrusted Aspen with her during our wedding and she was awesome to work with. We felt that she was super responsive and very experienced with dogs. Sent us lots of cute photos and updates. She is also just a lovely human and even gifted us a bottle of wine to celebrate our special day :) Would highly recommend and will be booking with her again!”

“Qiaohui was wonderful with our pup and made her feel just like at home. She catered to all her needs and indulgences she was used to and sent us daily photos and lovely videos. Knowing that she was well looked after made our trip more enjoyable. I know she can’t wait to stay with Qiaohui again.”

“These two are all about dogs and it shows! They also took a lot of great pictures and gave us daily updates on our dog's 12 day stay which was very much appreciated.”

“Shauna helped us feel at ease about using Rover for the first time on our recent vacation. She gave us updates and sent photos of our dog and made us feel better about leaving him. We would definitely recommend her. Thanks Shauna!”

“Justin was wonderful with Cooper! He was super friendly and made us feel at ease right away. He took Cooper on plenty of walks, handled all of his little tantrums with patience, and kept us updated with plenty of photos throughout the day. When we picked him up, Cooper was happy, calm, and clearly well cared for. We’d definitely trust Justin again with Cooper!”

“We recently boarded our toy poodle Ella with Karen, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. Karen was incredibly professional and clearly very experienced with dogs. From the moment we dropped Ella off, we felt confident that she was in great hands. Karen provided regular updates and made sure Ella was comfortable, happy, and well cared for throughout her stay. Ella came home relaxed and content, which tells us she truly enjoyed her time there. We were so pleased that we’ve already booked another, much longer stay with Karen. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter!”

“Qintian was awesome! We were worried about the traffic to the airport in the morning after dropping off our pets so she allowed us to drop them off the night before. She was super accommodating and kind! We received lots of pictures and videos throughout the stay and we would be happy to bring our pets back here.”

“Jenny is excellent as always. We were gone for an extended trip to the Philippines, and she provided regular updates and cute pictures of Bouncer while we were away. I also asked if she would be able to give Bouncer a bath since we were gone for a while. Jenny kindly agreed. I gave Jenny additional compensation for this. I could tell that she went above and beyond for my dog. I'll be asking Jenny again for help with Bouncer in the future!”

“My dog momo loved staying over at Liz’s house with her family and their dog lucky. I received plenty of photos and videos everyday and momo was happily playing around with lucky. Highly recommend Li.”

“I really appreciate how Amy was kind and flexible enough to take my Goldie for 4 days with only a couple of days’ warning. I picked up a happy and tired doggy at the end of his vacation ?”

“Maryanne was so welcoming to both me and my dog. Her house is well suited for dogs. She has a great combination of knowledge and compassion, and my older dog fit in wonderfully. Thank you, Maryanne!!”

“Our two dogs were well loved and taken care of! I know our dogs must have loved the attention from the child in the household. We appreciated the flexibility when we needed to add more days, too.”

Upper West Ridge dog parents share their Rover experiences
Jordan was a wonderful dog sitter! Her family home was a great space for Maya to call home for a week. She had very friendly and well mannered dogs that welcomed Maya and a large fenced backyard for lots of play and exploring. Jordan loves dogs and responded quickly to texts. Maya of course adored her instantly. She took the time to ask questions about Maya and anything special she would need. When I picked up Maya, she was content and happy! Great experience and I would absolutely recommend Jordan. Thank you so much for taking such good care.

Ella loved staying with Matthew and his partner! She normally gets stressed in new environments - but she came back happy and like she had a great time. I really appreciate that they only take 1 dog at a time, have a fenced yard and were communicative with regular photos and updates every day. Would definitely re-book for our future trips

Natalia was so great at taking care of Tofu while we were out of town!! She was communicative and sent a toooon of pictures, I had no doubt that his stay was going well, and it was so nice to see that she spent a lot of time just playing with him and giving him attention. She was so kind and professional, I’d definitely book her again!

Kellie over delivered on every level and I’m so lucky to have found her. Her positive energy, attention to detail regarding routine and instructions, and genuine love towards our dog was amazing. She was so communicative before, during, and after her stay I never had to wonder how things were going and if she and our pup were doing ok. On top of that, the house was spotless when we came home which made coming back to our pup even better. She’s such a wonderful and caring person and we will absolutely reach out to her right away next time we need dog care. Thank you Kellie for being exceptional!

This was the first time we’ve used Rover. Jiyeon was super attentive, responsive, and gave daily updates on our pup. I am very pleased with the attention to detail and thoughtful consideration Jiyeon gave when it came to looking after our pup and updating us while away. As this is my first time boarding our pup, I forgot some items. Jiyeon was there to save the day and gladly stepped in to make sure our pup didn’t go without. We have already booked a future date with Jiyeon and are comforted our pup will be left in good hands.
