“As always, Caroline is very dependable. We have had her petsit our two cats for many trips over the past 1 1/2 years and she has been wonderful with our cats every time!!”

About: Hi! I’ve been around dogs my entire life, and caring for them is truly something I love. Over the years, I’ve gained a lot of hands-on experience through privately dog sitting for friends, family, and repeat clients. From energetic puppies to older dogs who need a little extra patience and care, I’m comfortable handling a wide range of personalities and needs. More recently, I’ve started working at a kennel, where I care for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments every day. This has given me even more experience with feeding routines, exercise, administering basic care, and making sure every dog feels safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I treat every dog like they’re my own — with plenty of attention, affection, and reliable care. Whether your pup needs a fun walk, some playtime, or a calm and caring sitter, I’m here to help and make sure they’re happy and well taken care of! I currently maintain a flexible schedule, which allows me to be available most days for walks, drop-in visits, and playtime. This flexibility also enables me to accommodate a variety of routines and provide dependable, consistent care based on your dog’s specific needs. I prefer caring for dogs in their own home environment, where they feel most comfortable. I can come to you and maintain your dog’s normal routine, helping reduce stress and keep them happy.
“This was the first time Sid helped us for mid day visits and she was great with Tucker, reliable, showing up on time every day and she kept me updated. I will book her again for more visits!”

“It was great to have Cori drop in on my pup. She was very patient with his high energy. She followed all instructions and I didn't have to worry about how my pup was doing”

“Robin was excellent with my cat! She was very responsive and provided good updates while away. I would gladly use Robin again and recommend her if you need someone to watch your pet(s).”

“We are always happy when Rachel comes to check on our cats. It gives us peace of mind. We also enjoy seeing the pictures of them coming out to get their treats, even the shy ones.”

“Marissa was great! I highly recommend! She was right on time and gave my dogs plenty of time outside and gave them treats too. They were happy and well cared for when I got home. Thanks Marissa!”

“Karsyn made us feel so comfortable leaving our dogs for the weekend. Between all the check in’s and the photos, we knew our boys were in great hands! :) She is the absolute sweetest! We will definitely be using Karsyn for any future needs! :)”

About: Growing up, I always had pets around my home. From a docile miniature Dachshund to an excitable (perhaps… crazy?) German Shepherd, I have taken care of dogs of various sizes and personalities! I love both over-excitable pups and older dogs who need extra support and care. In the past, I have spent time volunteering with Mastiffs to Mutts Rescue to transport rescue dogs from their foster homes to their forever homes, so I have experience handling very large dogs! I currently have two gray tabbies (a bonded pair of sisters) and grew up with other feline friends. I understand the kind of care they need when their favorite humans are away, whether they are skittish or brave adventurers! I'm currently a music teacher in Washington County, so I am tend to only take clients over holidays and throughout the summer months. I am also available on most weekends with at least 2 days notice. I live in a small home with my own cats, so I am not available for pet-sitting in my own home. However, I have experience pet-sitting and house-sitting and take extra care when in someone’s home. Security and safety of your pet and home is my first priority. I am more than willing to share updates and photos of your pet or home with you to ease any worries you may have while away from your furry friends!

My mother is a hopeless dog rescuer just like me and I have always had multiple dogs in my home. Meet my pets I have 2 cats and 1 dog About my yard My back yard is completely fenced in. There is a long flat grassy area and a big hilly area for them to run. My experience administering medication I am comfortable administering oral medications. I currently work from home most of the time so I will be around to make sure your dog gets lots of attention and time. I have a fenced in backyard and a friendly, playful dog to keep your dog company. My children are older and really good with dogs.
“Lauren was absolutely fantastic! My cats warmed up to her super quickly, and she took excellent care of them while I was away. I especially loved her updates and looked forward to them everyday. They were so detailed and fun to read!! I couldn’t have asked for someone better to watch my cats and will definitely be booking her again!”

“This is our second time having Abby care for our two cats while we were away. She did an amazing job! One cat is on daily meds, and Abby is super reliable and communicative. We arrived home to happy and relaxed cats, and we were able to relax and enjoy our vacation knowing they were in good hands. Thank you Abby!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Upper Saint Clair
Kennedy was great! She checked in on our kitty while we were away for a weekend, and provided cute photos. Our cat, Leia, seemed to really like her and she doesn’t always warm up to strangers right away. It gave me peace of mine throughout our trip knowing that Leia was being taken care of well. We will definitely be booking Kennedy again.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
