I have cared for and loved pets since I was a child, including puppies and dogs, kittens and cats, mice, hamsters, guinea pigs, lizards, snakes, birds, fish, etc. I am a trained wildlife manager, so I also have experience handling and caring for birds of prey, venomous snakes, and giant spiders. I love learning about the needs and behaviors of each species, and I love getting to know each individual I meet. I am currently retired from higher education, and I am now a wildlife manager (I specialize in bats). I do take seasonal and part-time jobs (eg bat field tech, invasive, exotic plant manager, lifeguard), but my schedule is flexible, so I can work around your schedule. My single family home has a fenced yard and Is in a very pet-friendly, walkable neighborhood. I live near many parks some of which have dog parks (eg South Park). I don’t have any pets of my own at the moment, but my grand-dogs (Great Pyrenees) and grand-kitty live near by.
