About: I love animals, especially dogs and cats. I had two Pekingese dogs when I was younger, they lived until 16 yrs old. A few years ago my family adopted a Border collie/lab mix. Benson is so energetic and loves to go on mile long walks. My husband and I also have a Labrador retriever, he loves to go on walks but more so to the dog park so we do frequent there. This past Christmas we also added a new addition to the family, Mikey, our hyperactive and fun labradoodle. He’s still a puppy but he’s definitely good at keeping us on our toes especially his older brother Jordey! About: I have been walking and caring for my own personal animals - 2 dogs, cat, bird, hamsters since I was 5 years old. I also have been dog sitting and walking for numerous neighbors and friends in the area. I work during the day a full-time job. I am available early in the morning and after 4:00pm during the week. About: As a child, I was the neighborhood pet sitter. As an adult, I have vast experience caring for animals. For 25 years, I did pet sitting and house sitting in the Boston area before moving to Puerto Rico 13 years ago. The first month I lived there, I found a box of kittens in the road. I have been a rescuer since, being one of few who take on the most challenging cases. I have saved hundreds, if not thousands, of dogs and cats over the years and I have seen it all. Nothing intimidates me or grosses me out. I will give baths, dispense medications, clean up accidents, whatever is needed. I am 58 years old and am very reliable and trustworthy. I am 58 years old and do not work anymore so my availability is wide open. I do sometimes go to Puerto Rico where I am in the process of selling my home but the dates for those trips are flexible. I generally find that caring for pets in their own home is ideal as they really do appreciate routine, stability, and a familiar environment. However, I am certainly willing to care for them in my home as well and offer a fully fenced in back yard for dogs. There is an 11 lb dog at my house but he is used to cats and dogs coming and going so he should not pose a problem (or I can separate them, if preferred). In terms of routine, I am willing to adapt to whatever you have established and have no problem with giving medications, baths, or any other special care needed. With 13 years of rescuing in Puerto Rico and 25 years of pet care before that, I have seen it all (and nothing grosses me out!). If you like frequent updates and photos, no problem. If you like to relax and not think about home when you are away, no problem. Your beloved pets are in safe, loving hands.
