“Keshia was great! My dogs loved playing with her and told us that we should go away more often. On time and our dogs were extremely happy and slept all night with out needing to go out. We were very pleased to have Keshia as oidog sitter.”

About: I love to give pet owners peace of mind knowing their pets are safe and receiving attentive care while they’re away. I will give them all the love and attention to help them pass the time until you’re home. I am currently working part time so I have a lot of flexibility in my work schedule. Part time also allows me to provide care on days that I am working. Any rules or boundaries set by you will be honored. I will respect your home and your pets and provide the care you know they deserve.
“Morgan is a fantastic pet sitter! I was able to relax and enjoy my vacation knowing my dog and cat were in the best hands. Her communication was perfect, from coordinating a meet and greet through the end of sitting. She followed my pet's routines and gave them tons of love and attention, I highly recommend her! She also sent me pictures and video updates which were super appreciated.”

“Madison was phenomenal. We left her with our elderly 12 year old dog, our 1 year old puppy, and our two 3 year old cats and she was nothing less than professional. 10/10 would recommend!!”

About: I have over 2 years of dog sitting experience and currently work full time at a doggy daycare, caring for dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. I’m experienced with feeding routines, exercise, and group play, and I’m attentive to each dog’s behavior to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy. I work full time, five days a week, as an opener at The Mellow Mutt, with typical 6-hour shifts. My schedule can occasionally shift, so a bit of flexibility is helpful, but I do my best to keep things consistent for pet owners. I’m also a full-time online student at SNHU, which allows me to stay flexible and available for house sitting needs. I usually work Wednesday afternoons and most of the day Sunday, and my only consistent day off is Saturday, making me available for extended stays and attentive overnight care. While staying in your home, I focus on keeping your dog’s routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I stick closely to their feeding, walking, and play schedules, and make sure they get plenty of attention, affection, and exercise. I’m very attentive to their behavior and comfort, so I can quickly adjust to their needs and help them feel safe while you’re away. I also keep your home clean and respected, and I’m happy to provide updates so you can feel at ease knowing your dog is well cared for.

I'm available any time between 9 and 5 Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays. I'm available for last minute needs and overnight stays. I pride myself with the cleanliness I keep my home and pets, and I would show your home and pets the same respect. I have several clients who have d different needs that I cater too. I am careful to respect special diets, socialization boundaries and any other special requests

About: Been taking care of dogs for 6 years now. Have had experience training two of my own dogs and taking care of them/walking them on my own. I also work alongside with my father (also named Luis ) who has been doing dog boarding for about 2 years now. Me and my father are very used to the behavior of dogs and comfortable with dogs no matter the size or the breed of your dog. I have always had a strong love and a passion for animals, especially dogs I am currently a college student looking to make a little bit extra money by taking care of dogs. If I cannot look after the dog, my dad also takes care of dogs and is always available Me and my father don't live in a very busy neighborhood so you don't have to worry about your dog being unsafe. We have a relatively big house and also have a park very close to my house with a big open field and fence for the dogs to run around in were I can walk your dog and play with them to keep them busy without the risk of them getting hurt. I also have many toys for your dogs to play with if you would like for me to have them get a more fun experience instead of just walking them.
About: I am a retired London “Bobby” Police Officer who loves animals. Since 2016 I have made the quiet corner of New England home after working and traveling throughout the world in my two former careers. Now after being here for sometime I find myself with plenty of free time and I am putting myself out there to help out. I had my first dog in 2003 when he was a 3 month old puppy handed in to a London Police Station where i was working as a Police Constable. Message me if I can help out in any other way also. My rates may be negotiable. I work full time from around 8am and I am usually home no later than 3pm. Weekends are clear and free. Your pets will be very well cared for. After learning the hard way with a Coonhound who likes to chase anything that moves, I am alert to the individual needs of owners and their pets. I am happy to exercise Pets on or off their leases depending on one's wishes.
About: I’ve volunteered at Dakin so my expertise is felines. I have rehabilitated, fostered, trained, and socialized any type of cat or kitten. Believe me, they’re just like dogs. My partner and I are both on-call medical professionals so one of us is always home during the week days. I’m at home during the weekends studying for school. Our time is very flexible! It’s best to keep pets separated until a day or two if they come into my home and then there’s a meet and greet. Otherwise, a meet and greet is essentially a day before before entering into their domain.
“Kage did a great job and sent pics and messages during his stay with Cooper. He was well informed and great communication. I would highly recommend his services and would gladly book again when needed. Thank you!”

“Jared was great, attentive and communicated well. Was glad to have someone caring for my dog while he was in cone head mode and had to stay behind on Thanksgiving! Would definitely re-book”

“Chantal was wonderful with our two pups while we were away for a couple of weeks. She sent regular updates, pics, and videos. One of our pups is on regular medication for an autoimmune disorder and she took care of that as well. She also brought along some lick mats for them which they loved! We will be adding this activity to their daily routine. She also made sure to leave the house and backyard clean. Will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Kayla is an amazing sitter. She took care of our two reactive fur babies for a recent weekend trip out of state. It was our first time entrusting anyone outside of family and close friends with Bark and Hachi and Kayla quickly won over both of them. We are so excited, relieved, and grateful. We will definitely be staying in close touch !”

About: I decided to try letting a husky pull me on roller blades 27 years ago, and a bond was created that I am convinced was the greatest thing ever. I became an aspiring writer and began researching dogs, playing with them and loving them all the same. I understood that some people just had that dog thing, but I wanted to know why. Still working on my writing, and still researching, I started roller blading around Webster lake with a rescue puppy this past year. I remembered the incredible joys that a dog would have discovering the freedom, and it's really incredible. I don't claim to be a dog whisperer, but I have learned from studying dog behaviors and personalities. Honey has been incredible this season. Some dogs would rather just sniff, and it's arguably the most incredible of dog traits. Sometimes finding the space to run can be a challenge, but even just on a walk, it's all about giving them the chance to choose when you can. I have been an educator as a substitute and a paraprofessional, and enjoyed 20 years with a number of schools and institutions. Coaching tennis, track, and rock climbing, I love giving new experiences. As director for an adventure camp or as recreation games coordinator, I was able to incorporate a team into all the fun. Relying on the service industry for work, I have developed my communication skills in many fields. 3 years working for the May Institute with adults with severe disabilities gained me a humility not found elsewhere. In the Healthcare industry I found incredible individuals who just fit their calling, and you were better for being around them. The last 2 years I have traveled the state as a licensed pest technician solving homeowner problems, and keeping people safe. I enjoyed being a source of information, and health, and was careful to appreciate coming into someone's home and life. I'm currently planning on returning to school to attain my message therapy certification and utilize my background in health. It's a good plan with modification, and I am hopeful that Amazon flexibility will help. I'm the kind of person who starts with a smile, and believes that kindness is always an option. I understand that taking care of your animals and home is a sacred thing, and I will remain transparent and available. I'm currently working for Amazon, Sunday through Wednesday, and have Thursday, Friday, and Saturday completely free for services. Additionally I can be available for any other days with proper notice, due to Amazon's flexibility with their scheduling. Our yard is fenced in, and our two rescue dogs enjoy their space very much playing and running around. Our 16 year old cat enjoys being an inside/outside cat very much, and has adapted to our precocious new additions. Our back door is opened frequently.
“We cannot express enough how grateful we are for Shannon! My husband and I have 4 dogs and were fearful this would deter someone from wanting to take on that number. Shannon did not hestitate to answer the call and put us immediately at ease. Shannon came over on her own time to do a meet and greet and she was / is wonderful! She welcomed each dog with open arms and the dogs were overcome with joy that someone new loved them as much as they loved her. I highly recommend Shannon with no reservations. She is kind, inquisitive, patient and communicative. She sent frequent photos and updates which we were most thankful for. We would ask her to watch our dogs again, no questions asked. Thank you Shannon!!”

FAQs for House Sitting - Woodstock Valley
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 1,430 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Woodstock Valley. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Woodstock Valley walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Woodstock Valley maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Woodstock Valley choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
