“Good communication over message and we’re very grateful that Mark was able to drop in on our boys last min after our sitter cancelled. He was very flexible, and good with cats which is rare to find on Rover. The visit went well and our boys were happy when we arrived back home. Thanks Mark; we recommend Mark to others looking for a cat sitter and hope to book again.”

“Jess' been lovely with Leo and Zoe, she agreed to add an extra visit at the very last minute and respected the times as agreed. She sent me lots of pics of them all having a good time and I was so glad to see my little furries playing around! Thank you Jess and I'll see again in January 😊”

“Ashley looked after my elderly cat for a week, and I think she was sad that he left! He gave her all the cuddles and company she could have asked for, cleaned up after messes and was diligent about giving her her thyroid medication twice a day. Updates were regular and I really couldn't fauly him. I would definitly recommend his services and will go to him in the future for pet sitting services.”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life, mostly rescues and larger breeds — so I’m confident and calm around dogs of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments. I have experience in basic training and I’m especially good at connecting with dogs who need a little extra time, patience, or structure, like my family dog who’s 13 now with Cushings disease and struggles with her back legs. I’m based in both Cardiff and Pembrokeshire, offering flexible services in each location. I also have a lot of experience with cocker spaniels and cockapoo’s. I’ve recently finished university for the year, so I currently have a very open and flexible schedule! I spend most of my time reading, walking, or at the gym — which means I can give your pup plenty of time, energy, and attention. I’m available for walks or pop-ins most weekdays and weekends , including short notice bookings. However I do work part time Tuesdays and Wednesdays so I am unavailable those days of the week. I’m happy to follow your dog’s usual routine, use crates if needed, and provide regular updates so you always feel confident and connected. I’m currently working towards a dog first aid qualification, and I hold a full, clean driving licence in case of emergencies or vet visits.

About: I’ve always loved being around animals especially dogs and enjoy taking them out to the beach or anywhere where they can run free. I often offer to have my friends dogs over night or for a weekend if they are stuck. I enjoy having the extra company and so does my dog Ella. I’ve had a dog at home for the passed 10+ years. I previously took on a dog that a family member couldn’t keep anymore due to circumstances and as I had a close bond with him (Bruno the beagle) and walked him a lot. I took him on where he had a very happy and fulfilled life. I then adopted a dog from Romania and helped rehabilitate him before moving him on to another family and now have Ella who is also adopted from Romania. I will always have dogs in my life now as dogs make a house a home and we love going on adventures. This would be a second job for me. I work Monday to Friday 8:30-3:30 so weekends or after that I am free. I also get a lot of time off, so longer periods are not a problem. I live in a flat where there are plenty of walks around and the beach is 5 minutes away. Toileting is easy too as I’m only on the second floor. Every dog is different but I’m happy to adapt to that. My dogs copes very well here and enjoys the views.

About: I have had dogs all my life. I’ve lived with dogs in a flat and on a farm and I know what it takes to make sure your four-legged friend is well exercised and looked after! As a dog owner myself who loves to travel, I know how hard it can be to find someone reliable to look after your pet whilst you’re away, or how it can be scary leaving your furry friend in kennels, so whether it be a holiday break or even if it’s just a quick drop-in needed, I would be delighted to keep your dog company and look after them as if they were my own. I live with my 8yr old Chow Chow Willow who recently became blind. This has been a massive adjustment as my partner and I have navigated retraining her and adapting to her new limitations, but it’s reinforced our ability to be extra patient with her especially when she needs a little help. Willow is however still extremely laid back and constantly around other dogs and since going blind there have been no issues with having another dog in our home. Since she’s gone blind, she’s also less active, so looking after more active dogs allows me to go on those longer dog walks that’s she’s no longer able to do. I’m very aware each dog has its own personality and would always follow any specific instructions you give me as to how to ensure your pup is happy whilst they’re with me. I’ve always had a dog in my life and when my schedule allows a little down time, I would love nothing more than to help out fellow dog owners who need any help with walks, check-ins or boardings. I have transportation so would be able to travel to collect/drop off and would require an initial meet up to make sure your pooch gets on with Willow whether that be in my home or elsewhere. I’d love to hear how I can help you out and give your doggo a lovely holiday or walk whilst you’re busy :) Thanks! Luisa I am currently very flexible with scheduling and and when my calendar shows I am available, I can accommodate most requests, whether that be boarding, housesitting or just dropping in on your pet as well as last minute requests. However as work takes me abroad at weeks at a time, unfortunately I cannot commit to regular/ongoing bookings without discussions beforehand. I have a large fenced garden with both grass and concrete where dogs are allowed to roam free and I can safely watch them through the living room patio doors. I also already have a medium to large soft crate if needed too.

About: I've been surrounded by dogs my entire life, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. From the high-energy loyalty of Collies to the gentle nature of Red Labradors and the powerful presence of French Mastiffs, I've grown up understanding the unique personalities and needs of a wide range of breeds. My love for dogs is truly limitless! I'm the classic person who stares lovingly at every dog that walks by, completely ignoring the human on the other end of the lead, oops! Whether it's playtime, long walks, or quiet companionship, I treat every dog like family. To ensure I'm offering the safest and most informed care possible, I'm currently preparing to complete a certified canine first aid course. Your pup’s wellbeing is my top priority—heart, paws, and all. Caring for pets feels like a natural part of my daily life, and I'd love for it to become my full-time job. Pets are a great fit for my routine—whether it’s walking, playing, or just spending time together, I find joy in every moment. I’m passionate about providing care and attention to animals, and making this my career would allow me to integrate that love even more into my day-to-day. It’s the perfect balance of doing what I love while helping pets and their owners feel supported. When it comes to caring for animals, their safety and trust are my top priorities. I believe every pet deserves a secure, loving environment where they can feel comfortable and confident. From walking my own dogs so much, I’ve learned all the best routes—whether it’s a peaceful park path or a quiet neighborhood street, I know how to find the perfect walk for each dog. I’m always attentive to their needs, whether it’s making sure they’re safe during walks, keeping a close eye on their health, or respecting their individual personalities. I take the time to build trust with each pet, ensuring they feel calm and cared for in my presence. With a strong sense of responsibility and a genuine love for animals, I approach every pet care situation with the utmost care and respect.

About: I have taken care of many puppies since I was younger, often sitting friends and families pets when needed, I have even walked dogs in Thailand this past year at Soi Dog. I am currently unemployed so I am able to walk dogs around College, Placement and Evening Classes as well as Voluntary activities and family/friends commitments. Contact me and we can work something out! I am willing to follow any rules and instructions needed within your own home to ensure the safety of your fur child and your belongings.

“Izzabelle was a star. I was looking for someone local to look after our 11 year old rabbit, Harvey for 7 days. I also needed someone to clean him out, give him water, hay and food twice per day. Izzabelle was amazing, she went far beyond what we asked, while away we had a heat wave, she ensured he was coping and had qater. She had a real care for Harvey and would highly recommend her. I will be hiring again. Thank you xxx”

Due to my career I am experienced with taking care of pets of all breeds, ages and personalities 🐾 I work full time Monday-Friday so I'm available for drop in visits in the mornings and evenings. I'm currently available all day on weekends as well. I can cater to your pet’s individual needs and will do my best to follow their everyday routine, I will provide lots of love and attention! About: I have been surrounded by dogs and cats my whole life. I grew up living with 3 Alsatians, and several cats in my teens. I have always been entrusted by friends and family to care for their dogs, inclusive of lurchers, Alsatians, Labradors, Shih tzus, dachshunds, King Charles spaniels, which eventually brought me to rover! Essentially, I’m guaranteed to love any and all dogs you may have! I currently have my own dachshund called Dougie, who is 4 years old, who I care for with my partner Georgia. If you require boarding at my home, then the dogs would need to be comfortable sharing a space with my dog, Dougie gets along with pretty much all dogs he meets! I currently work full time, but work from home 3 days a week. I can be free most weekends with adequate notice. Your dog would never be left alone in my care, as my partner works from home when I am in office. I have a secure fenced garden, with plenty of space for dogs to run around on the grass. Your dogs would be welcome to relax on all of the sofas and beds in the house, and we can accommodate crating if you provide your dog’s crate. If you require boarding at my home, I’m happy to arrange for a free walk with my dog and your dog, so that they can get to know each other before your dog stays with us. Happy to stay at your property with your dog if this is preferred.

About: I have previously been a dog walker at Cardiff Dogs Home with some experience walking reactive dogs with specified needs. Whilst I was a walker at the dogs home I also took a few dogs to enclosed fields nearby for some time outside of kennels and play. Having had a dog of my own I have the ability to ensure your pet gets the exercise and stimulation they need. I also have brief experience with reactive dogs, as many of the dogs at the home had not been socialised prior to arriving at the home. I work from Monday to Friday between 8am and 4pm. I am office based so my availability will be limited to weekends and weekday evenings. My experience at the dogs home has enabled me to ensure maximum safety when walking any dog. As a walker at the home it was essential that the dogs didn’t come into close contact with other dogs, whether at the home or in public. Although socialisation is important, I am always mindful of other dogs when in public and will ensure that space is given, or if specified, no contact.

I take it slow with earning their respect

Sometimes my rota can change but i can try and make sure i am available and i will update my availability constantly I always make sure that the dogs I look after are in an environment where they feel safe and never nervous, I let them take there time to get use to me instead of forcing it to happen

About: No special skills per se, however I have experience with high energy dogs. I also speak fluent Welsh - in case your dog or cat only knows Welsh commands! “I can't say enough great things about Abby and her incredible dog walking service! From the moment you meet her, you can tell she genuinely loves dogs and they love her right back. Abby has that special energy that dogs immediately respond to, calm, kind, and full of warmth. She has walked my chocolate Lab a number of times and she loves Abby. She gets excited for her walks even though she’s old now. Abby’s not just amazing with the dogs, she's also one of the loveliest people you'll ever meet. Friendly, reliable, and always going the extra mile! Abby treats every dog like her own and every client like a friend. Knowing she's taking care of your dog gives you real peace of mind. If you're looking for someone trustworthy, experienced, and just genuinely awesome, Abby is the one. Thank you Abby ! :)”

Rachel B.
“Rachel cares for other people’s animals as if they are her own, and as if they are one of her family. She has a great deal of background knowledge of how to care for dogs, having carried out her own research, which she then shares with owners in order to make the dogs life better. My dog is always excited to stay at Rachel’s house and I know that he is safe and well cared for when he’s with her. I trust her implicitly with my little dachshund. Thank you, Rachel for caring for him so well, ensuring he is loved, played with, fed and exercised properly.”

“Cameron has been amazing dropping in and looking after my cat. He is always very responsive and sent me lots of great pictures. Will definitely be booking again! Thanks Cameron ')”

Georgia May C.
“Georgia has been an absolute lifesaver for my two dogs! She’s incredibly reliable, always showing up on time and ready to give them the attention and care they need. What sets her apart is how hands on and attentive she is. She really takes the time to understand each of their personalities and specific needs. Whether it’s adjusting their walk to suit their energy levels or making sure they’re comfortable and happy, Georgia handles everything with such care and professionalism. I always feel completely at ease knowing my dogs are in her care. I can’t recommend her enough!”

Sara W.

“Sara made George a very happy doggy! She was so helpful, friendly and responsive. Great updates and photos for visits too. Highly recommended!”

Rosie P.
“Rosie has looked after our rescue lurcher, Marigold, both in our house and the community. Marigold can be anxious around new people. She was not too sure about this new person at first, but Rosie was happy to persist. Marigold is now full of happy wags when she sees Rosie, which demonstrates the bond they have formed. Rosie listens carefully to the guidance we give on Marigold's routines, and ensures she is being consistent. What is lovely is when she sends us photos of Marigold laying down, and even asleep, next to Rosie, showing how much this nervous pooch feels safe around Rosie. Rosie has dog sat in our home on a few occasions, and we feel very comfortable with this. She has also looked after Marigold in Swansea whilst I performed at an event.”

Leanne B.

“Rest assured both my cats were well attended to. The cats area was left clean and tidy and my cats seemed very relaxed upon my return.”

“Great communication and photos during house visits for my 2 spaniels. Highly recommended. 👍”

Megan H.
“Megan loves animals, hence her career choice. She is a kind and gentle person. Very reliable and has vast knowledge and experience in animal care. Would highly recommend.”

Danny C.
“Danny absolutely loves animals. He has a sausage dog called Dougie who is his world. Dougie is very needy, so Danny is very much aware of what a dog needs, and deserves! Danny really enjoys taking dogs for walks to the beach or local parks.”

Alex C.
“Alex has been absolutely amazing with our girl, Jessie. As a highly active Labrador, Jessie needs plenty of exercise and stimulation, and Alex delivers exactly that — with long walks and engaging playtime. Jessie lights up when she sees Alex and clearly looks forward to their time together. Alex is not only incredibly kind but also thoughtful and attentive to Jessie’s individual needs. Since Jessie was unfortunately bitten by another dog in the past, she can sometimes be a little shy around others. Alex has always handled this with great care and sensitivity, making sure Jessie feels safe and comfortable at all times. We couldn’t ask for a better dog walker — Alex truly goes above and beyond.”

Kate P.
“Kate did a fantastic job when looking after my two cats! I got regular updates and always felt they were in great hands. Would highly recommend Kate! Thanks again xx”

amy l.
“Ever since I’ve known Amy she’s absolutely adored dogs. She would do absolutely anything for her dogs which are her babies. And she would be the perfect candidate for this job, mostly because she has a passion for dogs she loves them, she loves spending her time with her dogs. She is probably the best dog parent I’ve ever come across. And I know she would care for the pets on rover.com the same as she cares for her own.”
