About: I have previous experience owning and caring for two dogs. Although I do not currently have dogs, this experience has given me a strong understanding of dogs’ daily routines, behavior, and care needs. I am familiar with feeding schedules, walking, playtime, basic grooming, and providing companionship. I am patient, responsible, and attentive, and I always prioritize each dog’s safety and comfort. I carefully follow owners’ instructions and adapt my care to suit different personalities and energy levels. I will treat every dog with kindness, respect, and genuine care. I am currently available 7 days a week . I am flexible with timings and happy to discuss specific schedules and arrangements based on your needs. I have a house with fenced garden, I provide a safe, calm, and caring home environment where pets are treated as part of the family. My home is secure, clean, and free from hazards, and pets are always supervised. I follow the owner’s instructions closely, including feeding routines, exercise, medication, and any special requirements.
“Sharron is a 5 star sitter and has a deep understanding of dogs. There was an immediate calming of kur puppy, Alfie when we introduced him to Sharron. He was with her for 7 hours and he was in good hands. He also had 2 sleeps ! Highly recommended!”

“Ronnie seemed to have a fantastic time, he slept for hours after I got him home. Katie made him feel welcome and was really good about a slow introduction to Rowie. I'm sure Ronnie is looking forward to his next visit!”

“Our dogs had the best time staying with Karen. From the moment we dropped them off, we felt totally at ease. Their home is dog-friendly, and it was clear right away that they treat pups like their own. We got regular updates with lovely photos and little notes about how they were doing, which made us smile every time. Bowser and Lou came home happy, although definitely a little sad to leave, and are completely worn out from all the fun they had! We’re so grateful to have found such a warm, trustworthy sitter—absolutely recommend and will 100% book again”

“Piper was clearly very happy with Ian and their little pug. He sent me photos throughout the day and it was a relief to know she was okay, as that was the first time I’d left her with someone that wasn’t family. She’s been a few times now and is always excited when she arrives, she knows where she is! Ian’s got a large secure garden and Piper enjoys playing and sniffing. Their little pug is a sweetheart and she was happy having Piper in her house. I will continue to use Ian as my doggy daycare - Piper is very happy with him.”

About: In my life I have had the pleasure of living with and looking after a variety of animals. From kittens to doberman puppies- i love all animals! I especially enjoy working with and caring for dogs, whether they need extra attention due to age or health, or they prefer their own space. I’m sure I would be able to take care of their needs 😊 I currently work in shifts but am very flexible; I can have time off if/when required and can also nip home throughout the day to check in on your loved one! I only work 5 minutes away and have a camera to set up if your dog is ok to be left alone for periods. I live alone in my house and in my spare time love to cook, walk and read books. Your companion will fit right in! I have a camera and baby gate at the bottom of my stairs to keep your companion in a secure environment, however if acceptable to you i am happy for them to go upstairs and on furniture. I am happy to go by your rules!
About: I have 4 years dog care experience. I love to walk and there are some lovely areas around us which your pets can also enjoy. I am able to administer medication if required. I work from home full time so am always around if needed. I already have a dog and we go for walks at least 3 times a day - length of walk is very much dictated by my dog!! We have a fully enclosed garden, with both grassed and paved areas, all sides have high none see through fencing and access off the property is via two secure gates. Inside - all dogs would have access to the utility area, snug and kitchen, where clean fresh water is always available. They will also be able to have their own space if needed.
“My dog loved being at Izabella's! She was so settled and happy with her and I loved receiving updates and pictures of her today during her stay. Would recommend this sitter.”

“Vanessa, thank you so much for giving Tess a safe and happy time, and caring for her especially when you had a lot going on. Tess and I look forward to having you sit for her again.”

About: Me and my partner, James have grown up with a range of family puppies and dogs; Spaniels, terriers, dobermans, Shih tzus , Pugs and more! We love dogs! We have a large secure garden, access to countryside walks and lots of affection to give to your dog. We know how important it is that when you need someone to look after your furry companion that it is someone you can trust and who will provide the best care. Please note before enquiring that we do have a 4m old baby & 7 year old, they are both around dogs constantly so we are comfortable but we also need to know that you & your dog are comfortable too. I’m currently on maternity leave so I have lots of free time during the week to play and do lots of walking with the dogs! We have a fenced garden which is secure and great for exercise or play time. We are happy for your dog to do what makes your dog comfortable.
“Charlie has been taking care of my springer spaniel Flora for six months now. Flora loves Charlie and Red I couldn’t ask for better care and know she’s loved and is in great hands. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Charlie she’s been so supportive and is wonderful with Flora”

“Dawn really helped us out by taking our Labrador puppy last minute when our house needed repairs! She kept me updated all day and couldn’t have been more helpful :) Thank you so much!”
“Ewan was super friendly when arranging for my terrier to go to his house for the day , and then when we arrived . My dog was very happy to stay the second we got through the door , and was happy and relaxed when I picked him up later . Ewan kept me updated throughout the day , with time taken to give feedback at the end”

“Kelsie was great. She even took the time to meet up for a little walk before hand to see how my dog was with her lovely border collie. There is a wonderful field just seconds from the house for walks. Highly recommend!”

About: I’m a friendly dog lover offering dog sitting, walking, and boarding. I grew up with dogs and have lots of hands-on experience with a range of breeds. I’m confident, calm, and attentive to each dog’s individual needs, routines, and personalities. I also send regular updates and photos, giving you peace of mind that your furry family member is being cared for like one of my own! Now that I’ve bought a house, l really miss having a dog around to take on long walks, play with, and cuddle up with on the sofa. Whilst saving for my wedding, this felt like the perfect way to combine my free time with my genuine love for dogs 🐾 I’m available most days for boarding or daycare as I can choose which days I work from home. When I am working from home, rest assured your dog will still have company all day as I pop their bed next to me as I work, so that they can signal its belly scratch time whenever they want! On sunny days, i’ll work in the garden with the patio doors open so that they can soak up the sunshine and inspect my plants! ☺️ My garden is completely fenced in with no side access, so you won’t need to worry about your dogs getting anywhere they shouldn’t (I know they can sometimes try to be houdini!) I also have experience with dogs which don’t like other dogs and need that extra bit of planning and dog awareness on walks to ensure all dogs involved remain as calm and stress free as possible. So if you do have a dog which you would rather doesn’t come into contact with any other dogs (I know the feeling) please rest assured I am confident and comfortable with this and I just require that they wear a harness for safety reasons :)

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Yorkshire and the Humber may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
