Pet Sitting in Hackney

About: Hello! I’m Lucy, and I’m truly passionate about caring for dogs of all shapes and sizes. I’ve raised my own little terrier, Maya, from puppyhood through to senior years; I know just how much love, patience, and understanding this entails. I also volunteer with Underdog International, a fantastic dog charity in my spare time. Through this, and my own experience, I’ve cared for a wide range of dogs - young and old, anxious and outgoing, energetic and laid-back. I’m confident in all aspects of care, from walking and feeding to bathing, playtime and administering medication if needed. If your pet has specific needs, just let me know when you book as I’m always happy to accommodate. I currently work from home alongside my partner, Oli, from Monday-Friday. We’re both civil servants with flexible schedules, so between us, your dog with have plenty of company and opportunities for walks and play. We’ve recently returned from travelling in South America where we befriended many stray dogs and found ourselves missing their company ever since! Our home: we live in a spacious two bed flat in Hackney Central, with no pets of our own at the moment and no children. There’s access to a shared garden and we’re just an 8 minute walk from London Fields. The bottom line is that your dog’s wellbeing and safety is always my top priority. I provide a calm, supportive and secure environment and follow your instructions closely. I’m always happy to accommodate special routines, dietary needs or quirks to ensure your dog feels comfortable and safe.

About: I have lived with different breeds of dogs and cats my whole life, from my family's golden retrievers, to my friends jack russell, border collie and kelpie. I enjoy spending my time walking, talking and playing with your pets specified to their needs and wants - ensuring their safety and desire to explore cohesively! I make sure they will feel comfortable and confident in my care. I can read your animals needs and wants through their expressions, and how they respond to general commands. I work from home most days so my schedule is quite free, especially would love to dog sit for the day if you need to go to work/travel. We have a massive garden! I live with two other housemates that also love dogs and we love having them over :) I ensure trust is established first by letting your pets smell me, getting to know my scent and speaking to them to understand the ways they respond. This gives me an indication if your pet is anxious/excited/comfortable to be around me. I adopt strategies learnt throughout my experience to ensure a bond is created, making your fur friends build a relationship with me in the easiest manner. By owners showing me the general gist of their commands, what is a no, and overall boundaries with their animals will give me a clear route to how to approach your animal.

About: I first gained dog care experience when I was 15 with our family pup. Ever since then I have looked after friends’ and family members’ dogs. By the time I turned 21 and adopted a rescue greyhound, and felt well-prepared. He was my best bud and it strengthened my love for all dogs, big and small :) I am currently freelance and so can work my own schedule around the needs of any dog I am caring for. Your pup will be my priority! I have a secure flat and live very close to multiple parks where we can walk:) I have toys that they can play with to enrich their time with me and to keep boredom at bay!

About: I have had dogs in my family since I was very young, from small and old dog to puppies and big dogs! So experienced with lots of different dogs. I have experience with anxious dogs too. I have looked after other people dogs too for the last few years I am self employed and work from home so have a very flexible schedule in the week and am able to walk dogs once a day and take them for regular loo breaks. I am also able to look after your pet into the evenings and on occasional weekends too My flat is very safe, secure and dog friendly, with nothing that can put them in harms way, so your pup will hopefully feel right at home.

About: I am a young professional living in London, away from my dogs (and cat) at home. I love taking care of animals - they make my flat feel more like a home & I want to make sure they feel at home too! I’ve had dogs since I was born and cats for years. All of our dogs and cats have been rescues, with my dogs varying from Staffies to Lurchers to one of a kind cross breads. No dog (or any animal) is too needy/anxious/hungry or playful for me! Your pup or cat will always be my main priority and I will do all I can to make sure they are comfy, relaxed and maybe even a little bit spoilt! My partner and I both work from home, so your little one is guaranteed time, attention, toilet breaks and lots of cuddles. I am more than happy to work from your home if your animal feels more comfortable in their own space. My partner and I both work from home, so we can ensure your little one always has company and can be taken out for fresh air/potty breaks whenever needed! We live right next to Hackney Downs so green space is super close for a lovely lunch break walk. Our home is completely secure, so there is no concern with cats or dogs not staying in the apartment. All windows and doors are secure and we will of course always have our eye on them anyway :)

About: Growing up I had two gorgeous bearded collies, which I would walk, clean and feed regularly. I’ve previously had experience as a dog walker for other families too. I’m a part time paediatric emergency nurse. Which means I have random weekdays/weekends free, making it possible to look after any dog that may need I live in an apartment in Dalston, with outside space, which is safe and secure. I love to go on long walks always over an hour to keep myself active too! I live with my boyfriend, so your dog will get double the loving!

If your dog is allowed on the sofa at home, they’re welcome on ours too. We host in a clean, two-bed flat with plenty of space for rest and downtime. You’re welcome to bring your dog’s bed, blankets or favourite comfort items to help them settle. We follow any routines or rules that matter to you so your dog experiences a familiar rhythm. Staying with us includes regular updates and photos, so you always know how your dog is doing. If you have any specific needs or requests, just say. We adapt to each dog as an individual.

About: I’ve pets all my life, dogs when I was a kid and cats when I was teenager. During the pandemia I spent 7 months in Spain in a country house and animal cats started to come to our place for food. We fed them, take care of them for those months and found family for them. My sister has a dog, Lua and my partner’s family has a dog Buddy and we love to spend time with them. I love animals unfortunately we travel a lot so we can’t have our own pet in London. I run my own company so I can work around my own schedule and take care of pets when they need to go out for a walk. I don’t have a crate at home so the pet will be free in my flat and I don’t like pets in cages I like them to feel free like at home

I have years of experience caring for multiple dogs and recently looked after a miniature Pinscher named Rocky for a week. I truly enjoyed spending time with him—he even inspired me to realise that walks are much more enjoyable with a furry companion and how much I do enjoy looking after dogs. I also love playing with my dad’s Labrador whenever I visit his home. Beyond my deep love for animals, I have hands-on experience administering medication by mixing crushed tablets into food, and I’m happy to offer baths if dog shampoo is provided. Clear communication is a top priority, so you’ll always have peace of mind knowing your pet is in loving hands. I’m more than happy to accommodate your pet’s individual needs! Pet care fits well into my routine, even while I’m in education. I finish most days at 1 PM, giving me plenty of time to dedicate to a pet’s needs. Plus, my mum starts work early and finishes early, so there’s always someone at home, ensuring the dog is never left alone for long. I naturally incorporate walks, playtime, and any necessary care into my day and am flexible in adjusting to a pet’s specific routine. In a pet owner’s home, I follow their routine as closely as possible to ensure their pet feels comfortable and secure. This includes feeding, walks, playtime, administering medication if needed, and providing plenty of affection and attention. I also keep the home tidy and respect any specific instructions given. If caring for a pet in my own home, they will always be in my company, ensuring they feel safe and never alone. I have a secure garden, allowing for frequent potty breaks and outdoor play whenever needed. Since I finish most days early and someone is always home, pets receive constant care, regular walks, and plenty of love and attention to make them feel completely at ease.
