About: I’ve always been great with dogs and naturally calm around them. Friends regularly trust me to look after their dogs, including longer sitting, feeding and walks around East London. I currently help care for my friend’s chihuahua, Queenie, who’s become my little sidekick, as well as my friend’s staffie, Pablo. I’m very attentive, patient and genuinely enjoy being around dogs and getting to know their personalities. I’m based in Hackney and already spend a lot of time walking through London Fields, Victoria Park and the surrounding areas, usually clocking between 10–20k steps a day, so dog walking fits very naturally into my routine. I’m 36 and currently writing my debut novel, so I spend a lot of time walking, thinking and being outdoors anyway. I understand how important trust and communication are when someone is caring for your dog, so I’ll always make sure owners feel updated, reassured and confident their dog is being well looked after. I work flexibly and spend a lot of time walking throughout East London already, so pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine. I’m available for walks, drop-ins, feeding and sitting during weekdays and weekends, with flexibility for morning, daytime and evening care depending on availability. I enjoy long walks and outdoor time, so I’m happy tailoring walks to suit different dogs, whether they’re energetic and playful or prefer a slower, calmer pace. I’m attentive and very aware of how important trust is when caring for someone’s dog. I always make sure dogs feel safe, comfortable and settled, whether that’s during walks, home visits, or sitting in an owners home. I pay close attention to routines, feeding instructions, behaviour and anything specific owners would like me to be aware of. I’m respectful of peoples homes, keep communication clear and will always provide updates and photos where helpful for reassurance. I’m also mindful around other dogs, busy roads and environments, and I’ll always prioritise a dogs safety, comfort and wellbeing first.

“Remi and Matas were amazing. Our dog has been a bit nervous of people in the past as he is a rescue so is learning to trust the world and they were so great with him. We met beforehand so he could get used to them and meet their gorgeous husky, and in the first meeting we could tell how good there are and how knowledgeable they are about dogs. Paxo had an amazing time with them, warmed up to them so quickly, going in for cuddles after only a few minutes. They respected our instructions but also we completely trusted their judgement. They did lots of lovely walks him and he got to play the whole time with Loki the husky, as well as getting lots of cuddles on the sofa. They sent us lots of photos and videos and we were reassured instantly at how well he was being looked after. Would highly recommend them and we will be using them next time we need to go away, they were great”

About: I have been caring for dogs for over 10 years and truly love being around animals. Growing up with dogs has always been a big part of my life, and I’m very comfortable looking after different personalities, energy levels, and routines. I have a garden that provides a lovely outdoor space for dogs to get fresh air, stretch their legs, and enjoy some time outside during the day. I also live close to several parks, which makes it easy to take dogs on regular walks and give them plenty of exercise and stimulation. Whether your dog enjoys long walks or shorter, relaxed outings, I’m happy to adapt to their routine and energy level. Inside the home, there is plenty of space in the living area where dogs can settle comfortably. The environment is safe and dog-friendly, allowing pets to relax, play, or rest throughout the day. Because I work from home, I’m able to supervise them closely and make sure they always feel secure and cared for. My goal is to make every dog feel at home, giving them lots of attention, affection, and a safe space while their owners are away.

I want to make sure everybody - from two legs to four legs - is comfortable with keeping up your routines while providing the best care and love for them. Depending on the arrangement and request, I'm always in regular communication with you including pictures and videos. I've looked after pets of all ages and those with special needs including giving medications, administering injections, monitoring health or behavioural issues, and maintaining training regimens. I work from home most days and have flexibility to look after your pets whether to pop out for a walk, have them over to mine for the day or evening (large flat with plenty of space and a garden!), or look after them at yours so they can stay in a familiar environment. While I've only just started on the Rover platform, I have over 40-50 five-star reviews and references on other pet sitting platforms which I'm happy to provide. I'm a working professional but most days I work from home and keep a flexible schedule which allows me to pop out for walks, keep pets with me for the day or overnight, or work from pet owners' homes. For repeat or regular clients, I communicate any lack of availability due to work travel or other reasons at least two weeks in advance. For daycare or boarding options in my home, I have everything a pet could want. The house has plenty of space and a garden with no other pets of my own. For walks nearby, I'm on a leafy street with plenty of parks where we can either make new dog friends or keep to ourselves. I provide plenty of attention throughout the day. For house sits in your house, I can work from there and stay with your pet(s) most of the day. I'm a responsible sitter, not only to make sure your pet's needs are taken care of but also for house security. I treat your place with the utmost respect, and keep things very tidy. Non-smoker.

About: I’ve pets all my life, dogs when I was a kid and cats when I was teenager. During the pandemia I spent 7 months in Spain in a country house and animal cats started to come to our place for food. We fed them, take care of them for those months and found family for them. My sister has a dog, Lua and my partner’s family has a dog Buddy and we love to spend time with them. I love animals unfortunately we travel a lot so we can’t have our own pet in London. I run my own company so I can work around my own schedule and take care of pets when they need to go out for a walk. I don’t have a crate at home so the pet will be free in my flat and I don’t like pets in cages I like them to feel free like at home

From fans to frozen lick mats, it was so clear to me that 1) they cared and 2) they took the role of looking after Peggy seriously, which is everything you want when you’re trusting someone.
