Highlights
Pet care experience
Catsitter Aldgate East/Whitechapel
I’ve been cat sitting for two years (though only joined Rover recently), so know that each cat has their own personality and quirks, and have experience with kittens all the way through to elderly cats! I have completed a 13-hour feline first aid and care certification (delivered by a vet) which included CPR and managing long-term health conditions, have an up to date enhanced DBS check, and am insured. While there absolutely are sitters who work mainly with dogs and can still provide great care to cats, you can be sure that I am very confident in cat body language, signs of cat illness and how to play with them as I work with cats exclusively. Cats are such important members of the family, and are all little individuals; If you tell me your cat needs to be sung to in order for it to start eating its food, I’ll do it. I currently work part time, so am able to do drop ins throughout the day at various times depending on your and your pet’s needs. I have recently completed a feline first aid and health management certification, which covered emergency care - including choking and CPR- urinary issues, toxins and elderly cats (among many other things), so your furry family will be in safe hands! I will always work with the utmost respect to your cat and to your home, and will let your cat lead interactions - I understand that cats can be a little shy (or very much the opposite), so will act based on their body language and reactions!
Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
Safety: I understand that trusting someone with your pet and your home can be daunting, so during our free meet and greet I ask lots of questions and meet your cat, to make sure we all get along and to get all of the information I need. In my day job, I work with vulnerable adults and so have an up-to-date enhanced DBS check. Interacting with your cat: When looking after your cat, I’ll listen to their boundaries and won’t force them to be social if they don’t want to be, and will also always be wearing fresh clothes when I visit to avoid stressing them out by bringing the smell of another cat into their territory.
Ratings and reviews
Harriet is a lovely person and an excellent sitter - very attentive and communicative, plus my usually shy cat grew to love Harriet within a few visits. Cannot recommend highly enough and will definitely book again :)

I couldn’t have asked for anything more from Harriet! She went above and beyond with everything. We can back from holiday with everything in order and the cats were surprisingly calm for such a long trip. Even my most shy cat was so calm in all the pictures and videos Harriet sent. Definitely will be booking with her again!
Harriet was absolutely great. Really clear communication with lots of regular updates and cute photos. Would definitely recommend!! Thanks Harriet!

Harriet was amazing with Lucas, you could tell how much she loves cats, she would bring her own catnip toys for Lucas to enjoy (and he did enjoyed it!) She was very loving to him. Also she watered my plants when I was away, and swept the leaves and bits from Luca's san on the bathroom floor. She sent me photos and updates everyday which I appreciated so much. Would highly recommend her and I will definitely hire her again!

Harriet has been really kind and helpful and friendly! Would definitely recommend and rebook if we need dropins. She's been helping taking care of the room as well and been really professional too! Leo really liked her as well and I'm really glad Leo had her company while we were away. Really appreciate it!

Harriet was a brilliant communicator and incredibly helpful whilst we were away, sorting a few domestic dramas as well as feeding the cats and keeping everything ship shape. Hugely reassuring to have her coming in every day when we were away.

Schedule
Overview: I have recently completed a vet-delivered certification in feline first aid and health management and am always doing more research on cat care, as I love spending time looking after them and want to make sure they’re healthy and happy! Schedule: I currently work part time so am able to be pretty flexible with my schedule depending on you and your pet’s needs. I work in the healthcare sector, so alongside experience in (human) patient care, I have an enhanced DBS check What I can offer: As well as cat sitting while you are on holiday, I am happy to offer one-off or weekly visits for if you are working late, or you just want someone to pop in to make sure your furry family is okay! I can also do extra services such as deep-cleaning the litter tray, grooming, teeth brushing and nail trims (if the cat is open to it!), watering plants; just let me know what you’re thinking and we can work it out!
- CatsHarriet can host up to 3 drop-ins per day
- What I would like to know: If your cat has anything they need or prefer in order to keep them as happy and safe as possible while you’re away, please let me know. Every cat is an individual and know that they all have their funny little quirks and preferences, and I’ll do what I can to keep their routine as normal as possible. Knowing where they might hide, what their favourite toys are, and if they have any health issues can all be really helpful. Additionally, getting any tips from you on any tricks needed to unlock the door is very helpful!
