“We honestly cannot recommend Mark highly enough! We had travelled to Cumbria for a week’s holiday but the property we were in didn’t have an entirely secure garden. With fellow dog walkers passing by and sheep in the neighbouring field, we had a problem … which Mark solved! At the drop of a hat, he welcomed Mickey into his home. He gave our terrible terrier lots of cuddles, walks and treats and kept us updated with photos and videos. I cannot express my thanks enough to Mark and his partner. Exceptional care given x”

About: I have had pets of my own ever since I remember being alive, and I have also taken care of friends and families pets before, when they had to go on holiday :) I work full time 8-5 so I can take care of the pets anytime after 5/5:30pm and boarding as long as the pets are back to the owners before 7:30am I have a fenced back garden that the dogs can go out to play and do their business. I don’t have pets at home currently so pets that don’t get along with other are also welcome in my home.

“This was our first stay with Melanie as a half day introduction for our two dogs. Melanie suggested a trial run and that was a great idea, so that everyone would feel comfortable for future bookings / arrangements. She has a dog friendly house & garden, with access to woodland directly behind her garden. The dogs loved it ! Easy to park and drop off / pick up. Very grateful to have found Melanie via Rover. Hope to enjoy lots of bookings ?”

“Jake had a great time staying with Olivia and Chris, they were very welcoming and he was at ease straight away. You can instantly tell that they really love dogs and it put my mind at ease knowing he was in good hands. I got regular updates which was good, and I can tell that Jake's had a lot of exercise because he's slept so much since we got back. It's also a perfect location for dogs, there is a big back garden and it is surrounded by countryside and close to places like Hamsterley forest. It's further to travel for me, but I will definitely be using Olivia again because I know he will be in good hands and that extra peace of mind is worth it for me.”

About: I grew up with a mad, wonderful springer spaniel, and now dogsit my friend's two working cockers regularly. Love their company, especially on long walks! I work from home and get out every day, so pretty easy and flexible for having a dog join me most days/times (I sometimes travel to London for work, which is the only reason I don't have my own) I have a fenced back garden, and plenty of room inside for a crate if needed. I also get out for walks or runs all the time, and would love more doggy company!

“Ellie looked after our beloved family dog ( and sometimes our cat too), many, many times. She showed great care and dedication, and he loved her dearly - always going happily with her ( after collecting all his favourite toys to show her) and coming home calm and relaxed. Ellie is great fun, loves all animals, and is completely trustworthy. She is gentle with nervous dogs, but is firm with those who need it too and loves long walks herself! I can wholeheartedly recommend her to you.”

About: Although I don’t have my own dog, I’ve had lots of experience walking and caring for friends and family’s dogs over the years. I love all dogs and animals and I’m very active so your dog will have lots of nice walks and play time with me. I work part time but my dad works full time from home so on the days I’m working he will be able to help with the care of your dog taking them out for regular walks, toilet trips and lots of cuddles and attention. I have a large house and garden for your dog to explore but I also love walking and hiking so if your dog has energy I’d love to take them out for a walk on the fells. I can give them lots of one to one attention and cuddles. There is no other animals in the house, so they will get undivided love and attention.
