About: I have over 10 years of hands-on experience caring for a wide variety of animals, from cats and dogs to horses and pigs. I’ve house-sat for multiple families, ensuring their pets are well cared for and kept in their usual routines while owners are away. I hold a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management, which gave me in-depth knowledge of animal health, welfare, behaviour, and husbandry across multiple species. Alongside this, I have experience working in a small animal veterinary practice, where I developed strong skills in recognising signs of illness, supporting senior pets, and assisting with general animal care. I am confident with basic medication administration and maintaining consistent routines for puppies and younger dogs. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I’ve regularly cared for my own pets as well as those of family and friends for many years. I am responsible, reliable, and understand the trust involved in caring for both pets and homes. Pet care is my full-time focus. I run my own business caring for dogs and horses, which means I have full control over my schedule and can plan my days around the animals in my care. Because of this flexibility, I’m able to provide consistent attention, regular walks, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. Whether your pet needs active stimulation, structured exercise, or simply calm company, I can tailor my routine to suit their individual needs.

We had a tight schedule when we booked Karina, but she was incredibly flexible, which was a huge help for us. Our dog clearly enjoyed the time with her, all the videos and pictures showed she was living her best life. Highly recommend!

Amazing, couldn’t have asked for better caring people to look after my dog Margo. They went above and beyond taking her out on day trips, treating her like part of their family and also providing photos while I was away. I will be booking with them again!! I would highly recommend and I already have!!

Alexandra is amazing! This is the second time she looked after Ruby and it looks like Ruby loves her 😊 also Alexandra keeps sending pictures of their adventures during the day, what’s is always nice to receive! Definitely would drop Ruby off here again if we around the area, pretty sure Ruby would love that too!

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and truly see them as a treasured part of the family. I’ve owned dogs myself and have also cared for many dogs for friends and family over the years. I’m experienced with a variety of breeds and personalities, including hounds, terriers, collies, dachshunds as well as mixed breeds. This has helped me become comfortable adapting to different energy levels, routines, and care needs. I have recently adopted a little cockapoo girl who is my bundle of joy, she is super friendly and loves meeting new dogs. As a dog owner myself, I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet. I will treat your dog like my own, always making sure your dog feels safe, comfortable, and well looked after while in my care. I work from home full time Tuesday through to Friday, which means dogs in my care have plenty of company throughout the day. Because I’m home, I can offer regular toilet breaks, playtime, treats, and lots of cuddles so they never feel lonely. During the day, I have natural downtime where I can feed, play, and spend time with your dog. Dogs will usually enjoy a 45-minute lunchtime walk and a longer walk once I finish work, along with plenty of cuddles and a good old snooze. I will always want to make your dog feel safe and like part of the family whilst staying with me, so I am happy to tailor my approach to your dog. Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I live in a quiet, adult-only household with no children, which helps create a calm and relaxed environment for visiting dogs. I also have my own 8-month-old cockapoo, Roxi, who is very friendly and loves meeting new dog friends. She’s sociable, playful, and used to sharing her space with other dogs. The house has a secure, fully enclosed rear garden where dogs can safely go out for fresh air and toilet breaks whenever they need. We’re also lucky to have several parks and green spaces nearby, which are perfect for daily walks and exercise. I always follow each dog’s usual routine as closely as possible and take time to make sure they feel comfortable and settled in my home. Dogs are supervised, given plenty of attention, and treated like part of the family while they stay with me. I’m always happy to arrange a meet-and-greet beforehand so you and your dog feel completely comfortable, and I’ll send regular photo and message updates during their stay so you can see how they’re getting on.

Apollo had a great time staying with Jane for the day! It was also very reassuring how much she communicated with me, given how long it had been since I last popped Apollo in daycare. I felt very relaxed knowing she was looking after him. Thank you Jane, Apollo was snoring the whole way home! 🤩

Fraser had a wonderful time with Flora. She was excellent at communicating and even made time for a meet and greet beforehand and took the time to understand Fraser’s routines and ask questions. Her flat has a very secure outdoor space, and she took Fraser for two walks. Fraser immediately fell asleep when we got home and was still tired all of the next day! I will defiantly be booking Flora again.

Lily has had another great day with Savannah and Sarge. A long hike at Walla Crag overlooking Derwentwater which she enjoyed. She adores them both, which is clearly evident from the photos and videos shared along with the interactions, cuddles and fuss between them and Lily. Looking forward to her first overnight stays soon. Thanks Simon and Tina

About: Very experienced dog trainer and behaviourist, with large rescue organisation for over 10 years. Avid dog lover, and previous dog mum to a sassy Daxi called Tilly. Countryside living in Cumbria, with both walks on the doorstep, and the fells a short drive away for those more adventurous paws! Dog got a few 'quirks'? Rest assured, ive seen em all! Positive training methods and vibes all the way! :) I am currently on a career break, so the world is my oyster at the moment. I enjoy getting out and about most days, so having a pooch to join me would be great! I understand every dog is different, so am able to adapt to each individual in order to meet both their, and your needs. I have a mature garden, which is full of lots of smells and room for adventures. the majority of it is enclosed, with some small gaps beneath some decking- however, I am more than happy to keep your pooch on a long line, and supervised at all times. I have multiple rooms, if your dog requires separating at certain times etc. I have space for crates etc. I am happy to accommodate your dog on the furniture, or on the bed if this makes them feel more at ease. I have access to a woodland which is not open to the public, so if your dog requires quieter walks away from the public, or other dogs, this can be accommodated easily.

About: I'm at my happiest when spending time with dogs. I have my own amazing dog called Moose who is a Labrador Spaniel mixed breed and I have previously looked after different dog breeds from small to large including Irish Setter, Dachshund, Jack Russel, Corgi and Labrador. This has involved walks, dog sitting for up to a week and taking them for day trips out in our car. I will always treat your dog with the absolute love, care and attention and treat them as if they were my own. I'll always respect your rules, and continue any training that you practice at home so that you can keep a routine with your dog. Any questions at all, please do not hesitate to get in touch! I'm self-employed and work from home, which means I can adjust my routine around any dog caring responsibilities. This means I'm very flexible with times and am available for dog walking and dog sitting at your home throughout the week and over weekend. In your home I will follow your rules and routine. That includes training, feeding times and whether your dog is allowed on furniture. I'm happy to spend quality time playing with your dog, sitting on the sofa with them or giving them space, depending on you and your dogs preferences.

About: My website highlights stories of the dogs I’ve taken care of at Windermere Dog Sitting and I can provide documentation for home boarding licence, DBS check and professional pet business insurance. I work part time as an online nutritionist so I have plenty of time to take care of dogs too. We usually go out for 2-3 nature walks a day. I have a secure garden and plenty of toys, fluffy bedding and a very clean and tidy home. Amber (my young cockapoo) is the only other being in my household.

About: My wife and I both grew up in houses that always had dogs although when we moved in together we always felt too busy to get our own. Luckily for us, mum and dad's dogs tended to stay over whenever they went away. We got the fun part of being around a dog, and the companionship that brings, but also the freedom not be tied down once they returned home. Now that I've retired, I'm free weekdays, weekends, evenings, extended stays or even staying at the dog's place if that was needed. Ideally I like seeing the same dog, or dogs, more than once so I can feel they see me as familiar and a small part of their lives. I usually miss them when they go home! We live right on the former railway line which is now a path and so is ideal. I love walking although am restricted to a steady pace because I suffer with ILD (lung disease). I can do fairly lengthy walks although can't go fast and hills really slow me down. This means that a small to medium sized (or an older) dog is my best fit although I have looked after dogs as young as one. Retirement means more availability so I'm ideally suited to being around for a dog when you're busy. I prefer to keep the flexibility that caring for other people's dogs provides, which is why I'm not looking to have a dog of my own full time. The fact I have the lung disease means it's best for me to keep active as much as I'm able and having a dog around gives the push to walk multiple times a day. We have very small garden which is fenced off but mostly it'll be walks to get out and about. We have an admittedly small 3 bedroom house so a small to medium size dog would fit best. The dog will sleep in the living room preferably in a bed provided by the owners. Although this site asks whether we'd allow the dog to be in furniture or beds, I'd prefer to stick with whatever it's used to at home.

About: I’ve taken care of my family dogs and cats since I was 10. I used to have a Golden Labrador and now I have a Miniature Dachshund so am experienced with both large and small dogs. Friends, family and neighbours have relied on me to walk, feed and look after their pets! I am currently working from home so will be in and around the house for the majority of the working day in addition to the evening. I have a good size secure and fenced garden with a secure fence with including a security bolt. I leave my gate and front door bolted during the day.
