“I can’t recommend Erika and her family enough. Bruce is a very shy reserved dog and doesn’t like strangers, I was so nervous about leaving him. I had nothing to worry about. Erika spoilt his rotten, treated him as one of the family. I was sent photos and videos every day, and he looked so happy in every picture. I don’t think he actually wanted to come home haha. I will certainly be using Erika again. Highly recommend to everyone.”

Very friendly and accommodating, she explained how her home would be Astra’s home for the night. Alessia was also very much tuned in to the extreme hot weather, and made sure Astra was exercised early in the morning and, temperatures permitting, again in the evening. She messaged through Astras stay to let me know how she was. I could tell she had a great time given all the licks Astra gave Alessia when it was time to come home : ) Wouldn’t hesitate to have Astra will with Alessia for a sleepover again.”

About: Hi there! We’re Alex and Susie, and we’re available to look after or walk your dog in the local area. We’ve both had great experiences with Borrowmydoggy, taking care of a dachshund, cockapoo and other small/medium sized dogs. Alex also regularly looked after a toy poodle for several years. We only recently joined Rover at the end of 2025. We’ve both got lots of experience with animals - Susie grew up with a mix of cats and dogs, including dachshunds and a rescue dog. She’s also a keen horse rider, and owned and cared for a horse for 20+ years. Alex grew up with a Lhasa Apso and Cavalier King Charles and he has also had pet rabbits and rats along the way. We both work from home most of the time and are able to do doggy day care, walks or drop ins a few times during the week. This would be mainly during working hours but could occasionally do evenings or the odd weekend day, but depending on other plans. We have a car, so easy to travel within the local area. We’re very flexible! We have a safe enclosed garden, with grass, and some dog toys and bowls etc. We don’t have pets of our own but have plenty of experience looking after others, and would only ever have your pet at home at any time, so can give them our full attention. We also live very close to a number of green spaces, including South Norwood country park, so have plenty of options for local walks too!

“Jack was fantastic, looking after our 2yo cavalier, Cooper, for two weeks. We had unprompted daily updates and photos, helping ease our mind that he was getting plenty of care and stimulation. He clearly enjoyed himself, with lots of walks and healthy treats. Jack was happy to apply advocate and check in on any behaviour that may be out of character, and I think Coopers fur was the softest we have ever seen it, due to the care and attention provided. I couldn’t recommend Jack enough for anyone wanting a comfortable home stay for their dogs!”
