“Brilliant service and communication, thanks! I was uncontactable during the time of the walk and instructions to get in hadn’t sent to Louise (my fault) but she very kindly went when I had landed and they sent through.”

About: Before I moved to the UK I took care of my 2 dogs and 2 cats. After I moved I have had my baby Tomas (cat) for 11 years. As much as people want to say cats are “low maintenance” I think I got the short end of the stick… Because my cat is VERY high maintenance, so I am always taking care of his wants and needs but also giving him a lot of love. I have my cat however the two pets will be separated as my cat is a house one and is very scared of new buddies.
About: I have a diploma in animal management, which did a module on first aid, which means I am able to administer medications and spot the signs of ill health. I’ve done voluntary work at dog groomers and enjoy spending time around dogs. I currently have 11 pets of my own, but I am free at any time to look after your pets as I don’t currently work. Taking care of animals is one of my favorite things to do. I health check animals every time I meet them to make sure that they are happy and healthy. ensuring the health of your pet is my priority.
About: Hi there! We’re Alex and Susie, and we’re available to look after or walk your dog in the local area. We’ve both had great experiences with Borrowmydoggy, taking care of a dachshund, cockapoo and other small/medium sized dogs. Alex also regularly looked after a toy poodle for several years. We only recently joined Rover at the end of 2025. We’ve both got lots of experience with animals - Susie grew up with a mix of cats and dogs, including dachshunds and a rescue dog. She’s also a keen horse rider, and owned and cared for a horse for 20+ years. Alex grew up with a Lhasa Apso and Cavalier King Charles and he has also had pet rabbits and rats along the way. We both work from home most of the time and are able to do doggy day care, walks or drop ins a few times during the week. This would be mainly during working hours but could occasionally do evenings or the odd weekend day, but depending on other plans. We have a car, so easy to travel within the local area. We’re very flexible! We have a safe enclosed garden, with grass, and some dog toys and bowls etc. We don’t have pets of our own but have plenty of experience looking after others, and would only ever have your pet at home at any time, so can give them our full attention. We also live very close to a number of green spaces, including South Norwood country park, so have plenty of options for local walks too!

About: I've been around animals my whole life - 30 years and counting! I grew up with cats, and my family has since rescued three small-to-medium dogs that I visit and care for regularly. Since moving to London, renting has meant I can't have my own pet, so I channel that love into sitting for family, friends, and fellow pet parents through apps like this one. I live in central Beckenham with Kelsey Park and Beckenham Place Park right on my doorstep which is brilliant for long walks and off-lead adventures (if allowed). I work from home three days a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday), so your dog gets a fully present companion, not an empty house. I'm an active person - I run regularly and love being outdoors, so if your dog needs lots of exercise, I'm more than up for it. Equally, if your dog prefers a quieter day pottering around the house and snoozing on the sofa, I'm just as happy with that. I take my cues from your dog and what they need. I have experience with basic pet hygiene routines, like wiping eyes and brushing teeth. I work from home on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, so I'm here all day to give your dog company, attention, and regular toilet breaks. I live in a cosy 2-up 2-down terraced house with a fenced courtyard garden - perfect for a sniff around, a quick play or a bathroom break. My schedule is flexible, so I take a lunchtime walk or run every day and can easily fit in extra breaks for toilet trips or playtime. Your dog won't be left waiting. Your pet's safety is my top priority. My courtyard garden is fully fenced with no gaps, and all the windows open from the top down, so there's no risk of climbing or jumping out. I keep cleaning products and anything harmful well out of reach. I'm home the entire time during boarding stays and your dog is never left unsupervised. I'm happy to send regular photo and video updates throughout the day so you can see exactly how they're getting on. Before any stay, I'd love to arrange a free meet-and-greet so your dog can get comfortable with me and the house first.
“Mara has been a responsible and personable cat sitter. She’s kind to my cat and you can tell she truly loves animal. The interaction with Mara is easy and she sends photos / videos for great assurance. Will recommend Mara for any cat or dog sitting!”

“Jonathan was a great sitter for Rosie - very prompt communication and really friendly. On the day he kept us updated and sent photos to show Rosie was doing ok. Will definitely use again. Thanks!”

I’m currently working part time, so can always try to be flexible with your pets needs, I will always aim for your pets interests to be put first. Sadly I can not offer services in my own home. About: I create genuine bond with every animal I care for. I’ve spent my whole life around dogs – from raising them as a child in Poland to caring for local pets here in the UK. I’ve looked after dogs of all ages and personalities – from playful puppies and calm senior dogs to stressed rescue pups – and I always adapt my care to suit each pet’s unique needs. We have a simple rule of respect in our home, and I always try to pace our environment around the animal’s rhythm, helping them feel safe, calm, and loved. I’ve also cared for cats and am happy to support multi-pet households. I’ve stayed in owners’ homes during holidays, taken nervous dogs on gentle confidence-building walks, and kept lively pups entertained with games and cuddles. I’m often praised for my regular photo updates, thoughtful care, and consistency with routines. Sometimes, pets are so comfortable they don’t want to leave! I treat every animal as if they were my own and go the extra mile to ensure both pets and their owners feel happy, reassured and truly cared for. Pet care is something I truly enjoy and happily build into my weekly routine. I work from home one day a week and I’m generally available on weekends and weekday evenings – which makes me a great option for dog walks, drop-ins, or overnight stays. I plan ahead to make sure each pet receives the attention, time, and care they deserve. Whether it’s a long walk, a relaxed visit, or a cosy sleepover, I always make room in my schedule to provide calm, attentive, and loving care that fits the pet’s routine as well as mine. At home, we have a small fenced garden where dogs can enjoy safe outdoor time and a bit of fresh air between walks and cuddles.
About: I have cared for cats and dogs for many years. For your dog I can provide a calm and quiet house with an enclosed garden. I appreciate that each every pet has its own individual personality and unique needs. I am experienced in looking after senior dogs and managed my own reactive dog for over 12 years. I am self employed, I set my own schedule and work from home. I currently have no pets of my own and plenty of spare time to provide the routine and care your pet needs. I will only show availability for pet care on the days I have the time and flexibility to dedicate to looking after your dog or cat. My home is quiet, spacious and has a private and enclosed garden. I live with my youngest adult daughter and my other two daughters visit regularly. They are all dedicated animal lovers like me. I will take your instruction on how your pet needs to be cared for and you can rely on me to follow it at all times. I had a reactive dog for over 12 years and so am aware how hard it can be to trust someone else to care for your precious pet when you need that help. If I am visiting your home to care for your pet I can provide plenty of references to reassure you I am trustworthy and reliable.
“Sarah came to look after my cat Harvey. She fed him each day and administered his medication correctly, and sent photos of how he was doing while we were away, which was really reassuring. I returned back from my trip to find the cat happy and well cared for. Thank you so much Sarah F!”

About: Hello! Anna will be your main contact and dog sitter, with James helping alongside. Our number one priority is to keep all pets safe, happy and loved when you’re not able to be there. Whether it’s walks, cuddles, playtime, or just making sure they stick to their routines. We treat all pets as if they’re our own. Dogs have always been a big part of both of our lives. We both grew up with dogs big and small, puppies and OAP’s, energetic and sleepy, so we’re well versed with all temperaments and making sure we give dogs what they need. We know how important it is to trust the people who are looking after your furry family member for that peace of mind, so we’ll make sure we provide regular updates and updates whilst they’re with us! We both work from home the vast majority of time so dogs are never left for long periods of time. Anna also works in a dog friendly office in Waterloo so if you’re happy, she might take it in from time to time - but this is not a requirement as we can ensure someone is always home if that works better! We both have active lifestyles and will always prioritise making sure any dogs get well exercised and played with! We have an enclosed fenced garden that any dogs can use at their leisure! We’ll always follow your lead with any routines your pet has, whether theyre allowed on the sofas/beds for example, or sleeps in a crate etc. We want to ensure your dog feels as at home as possible and we continue any boundaries you set to avoid confusion when they return home :)

About: Hi there! I’m Nesh 👋🏽🐾 — a big-time dog lover who will 100% treat your pup like family (and yes… I will probably talk to them like they’re a tiny human). In January, we sadly lost our sweet Frenchie, Luna, to cancer. She was truly my soul dog and we miss her every day 💛 While we’d love another dog one day, we’re waiting for now — so caring for other pups has become such a meaningful way for me to still have that love, companionship, and daily walkies in my life. We’re comfortable caring for small to medium dogs of all ages and energy levels, and I’m happy to stick closely to your pup’s routine — walks, playtime, feeding, chill time, and meds if needed. I’ve also looked after friends’ dogs plenty of times and genuinely love it. I’m big on safety, cuddles (if your dog’s into it), and I’ll always send photo updates so you can relax while you’re away. I work from home most days and only go into the office twice a week (flexible between Tuesday–Thursday), so your pup will have lots of attention and company. For boarding: we have a toddler (she’ll be 3 in October!) who adores dogs and has grown up learning to respect their space (thanks to Luna 💕). If your pup loves kids, they’ll be spoiled rotten — and if they’re not on a special diet… expect treats 😂 My husband Alex will also be helping out, and I can almost guarantee he’ll become your dog’s favourite. I’d love to meet you and your pup! I work from home 3 days a week, and I only go into the office 1–2 days when my schedule is quieter (so I can head home earlier). My mornings are usually pretty calm, and my afternoons get busier since a lot of my team is based in the Americas. We’ve got a beautiful field nearby for walks, plus a secure garden for fresh air and outdoor breaks (always supervised). Your pup will still get proper leash walks too! While I’m working, they’re welcome to snooze right next to me — under my desk or nearby, depending on what they prefer. My dog used to love curling up under my desk, so I’m very used to having a little work buddy by my side. On the weekends we are usually at home but do enjoy doing something out of the house, we always try to have our pup included and this would be the same where possible We have a fully fenced, secure garden with plenty of space (and lots of good sniffing spots!) for outdoor breaks and fresh air. 🐾🌿 I always care for pets based on their needs and routine — whether that means lots of playtime, calm company, or a bit of both. My main goal is to make sure your fur baby feels safe, comfortable, and at home with us. I’m also very mindful about safety on walks (always leashed unless you’ve specifically approved otherwise), and I’ll follow your instructions closely when it comes to feeding, medications, and house rules.
About: I’m a genuine animal person, calm, patient, and happy to walk for miles lol. I grew up around pets and have years of hands on experience caring for dogs, cats, bunnies and hamsters! I work from home 2-3days per week as a Human Resources Manager, with a flexible schedule, so your pet won’t be left alone for long periods. I've been pet sitting and dog walking for a few regular people and heard of Rover recently so wanted to expand as some of my regulars have moved areas now. I’m active and enjoy getting outside, so I’m happy to provide longer walks for energetic dogs or keep things slower and relaxed for older or more laid-back pets. I work as a Human Resource Manager in a Healthcare setting. I have a flexible working schedule so home every Wednesday and Friday and every other Monday. Im a gym goer and love being outdoors and staying active. I live in a medium sized flat with good communal gardens and parks nearby. My area is very quiet. I also drive so happy to travel with pets in the car.
Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Beckenham
Shannon is an amazing and trustworthy sitter! She took an excellent care of our cat and provided regular updates on her! Shannon is very responsive and communication was great! We left during a heatwave and we were worried about the heat affecting our cat but Shannon ensured she was hydrated and cool! It was the first time leaving our cat with a pet sitter and Shannon was very reassuring and our holiday was amazing without worrying about our little girl! I definitely recommend her to anyone who is looking for someone who loves cats and has a lot of experience love and patience! l will definitely use her services again! Thank you Shannon for taking such a great care of Nova, playing and give her favourite treats! We returned home to a very happy 🐈⬛! Thank you again for your amazing care!xx

Sabine was wonderful! She kept us updated with thoughtful messages and photos, giving us real peace of mind while we were away. She was incredibly patient and understanding with our two very shy rescue cats, letting them settle at their own pace and making sure they always felt comfortable. We came home to two happy, relaxed cats and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her. We’ve already booked again!

Lauren was amazing with our cat. He was well fed, played with and given alot of attention. Lauren also provided video and photo updates which showed a happy cat. I will be booking her again as I felt a great sense of peace of mind knowing my beloved Iggy was shown the same love that I give him.

Mhairi was excellent and went the extra mile to make sure Jack was comfortable during the heatwave. She kept us at ease with regular updates and photos throughout our trip. Jack was incredibly nonplussed when we got home, which is probably the best recommendation a cat sitter can get!

Emily is an absolutely amazing catsitter. We would have no any doubt to book her again or to recommend to anyone in the area. She really looked after both our cats, they bonded really well very quickly and she sent us regular updates while on holiday. She spent a good amount of time during each visit with our cats and they were very happy to have Emily around. We would definitely book her again in the future!

Kalina was amazing at taking care of Calvin while I was away! She provided pictures and in-depth notes on how he was doing, and overall communication was great! Kalina really made sure we felt secure with how Calvin was, and he seems to really have gotten comfortable with Kalina in such a short time! Will definitely be rebooking! 💕

Robert did a very good job and I came back to two very relaxed cats. I highly recommend Robert who has a very easy going manner which obviously impressed the old boys Ziggy and Zaggy. Robert also provided me with daily updates and photos which greatly reassured me.

It was reassuring to know Carolyn was looking after our two cats - Mims and Bob - for a week. She provided us with daily updates and answered any questions we had about how they were doing and how they were getting along. It was easy to arrange the initial intro visit and the handover of keys.

Honestly couldn’t recommend her enough! She looked after our Kimahri for 5 days and was absolutely brilliant with him 🥰 He’s quite a shy boy but very affectionate once he gets to know you, and she was so lovely and patient with him. Communication was great and we got plenty of photos and little updates, which we absolutely loved and really put our minds at ease while we were away. She even watered our plants and when I messaged asking if she could make Kimahri some treat water because of the heatwave 😂 she was more than happy to do it! Nothing was ever too much trouble and she was just so easy going and lovely. She’s got such a wonderful personality and you can really tell she genuinely cares about the cats she looks after. We’d 100% recommend her and would happily have her look after Kimahri again in a heartbeat! 🐾❤️

Alison was amazing with my two kitties and looked after them so well. She has a natural way with cats, they both warmed to her right away despite them often being quite shy to strangers! Definitely book Alison for your pet care! Thanks for being so great and helping us so last minute as well. Appreciate it hugely!

Tanya did a great job taking care of my two cats. She had excellent communication throughout, sharing daily updates on how they were doing and giving me peace of mind while I was away. She followed my instructions, and I also really appreciated that she left my home tidy when we returned. I would definitely book Tanya again in the future!

Ferat took very good care of my cats and was clearly very concerned about their welfare, which is really reassuring when you are away. Great communication and my flat was somehow cleaner upon my return than when I left despite Mr Tobias loving to kick his litter everywhere! Thanks for looking after them.
