I have a very calm energy and will always go at a cat’s pace - if they want to hide/chill on their own then that’s fine, I’ll do everything I can to build trust. I’ll ensure that all windows/doors etc. are kept secured during my visits, and that any admin around cat flaps is sorted.

I always ask about food & litter preferences and locations, water stations and any specific needs. I’ll also ask that the details of your vet are sent over to me - just in case - and that a carrier is left handy if applicable.
A typical day
Generally if I’m doing a drop-in session, I’ll take care of admin first - food (!), medicine, sorting litter boxes, any household tasks that need taking care of - then we’ll move on to attention and play. I will always follow an animal’s lead in how much attention or affection they are comfortable with - sometimes just sitting nearby can be enough company, which is fine. If the cat is up for it I’ll incorporate play so they can get some energy out - especially indoor kitties. Of course, if they just want to disappear in to a corner that’s fine too - I’ll stick around quietly for the allotted time so they get used to my presence.

Hi there! I'm Lanna - a seasoned cat owner/fosterer/carer who's available for daily drop-in cat sitting. I have previously worked in cat rescue centres and have a calm, quiet energy, so I anticipate your kitties and I quickly becoming firm friends. Cat-sitting & experience: I grew up with cats, and I've previously worked as an animal carer in shelters and volunteered for various rescue charities - both in physical care and in admin/social management. I have experience with administrating medications and dealing with behavioural issues, and am aware of a lot of medical terms and issues, so am very confident in corresponding with vets. I have a very calm and quiet energy, so I'm very well-placed to look after your moggy! Lanna was absolutely amazing! She made sure our cats were happy, comfortable, well-hydrated, and staying cool during the heat. One of the highlights of our trip was receiving her detailed reports and photos. I could tell Lanna genuinely cared about our two boys and they loved her. Lanna looked after our cat Raisin for a week while we away and she was brilliant. She was extremely thoughtful and caring about Raisin's needs, gave her a lot of time and attention and sent us really detailed updates and photos. A pleasure to deal with and would recommend Lanna to anyone.
