About: I've owned and cared for animals since high school. In addition to dogs and cats, I've owned horses since I was 16. I have been\am a foster parent for the Animal Rescue League of Boston since 2020. I'm a former puppy foster for service dogs and participated with early puppy training. I have carried those skills over to training other foster puppies and my personal dog. I have a medical background (EMT) and my daughter is a Vet Tech so I am very comfortable working with animals with medical needs and will follow any required medical plan. In addition to dogs and cats, I'd love to meet\care for your backyard farm animals; horses, pot-bellied pigs, chickens, goats, sheep, etc. I have experience with some of these animals through ownership and fostering opportunities. I'm open to meeting and learning about new friends. We currently have 4 dogs, 4 cats, and 2 horses in our home. All our animals are our babies and I'll care for yours as if they were my own. I'm currently unemployed so I'll have plenty of time to spend with your pets. I'm available for petsitting any day of the week and can work around any personal appointments. Boarding in my home is restricted to cats or other small animals. Puppies (under 1 year) may be accomodated, no adult dogs. For cats; we have a dedicated "cat room" to keep your pet separated from our pets. The room has a screen door so they don't feel locked away and can be part of our household while remaining safe. I will follow your pet care plan while in your home. For Puppies; all dogs are fed separately to avoid food aggression situations. All puppies will be crated for meals and sleeping overnight. If your puppy is not crate trained, I will work with them to ensure they are comfortable and not afraid. I can support your potty training schedule to maintain consistency.

“When our original pet sitter had to cancel within just a couple weeks of our long-planned vacation abroad, we popped onto Rover and began looking for someone to take care of our pets. With not just our dog, but also two bunnies, we needed someone who was experienced with rabbits too! We saw Joy’s posting and reached out. Even though she was leaving for her own trip, she squeezed in a last-minute visit to meet with us, which we greatly appreciated. We felt very comfortable leaving our little guy and girls in Joy’s care. Joy was wonderful in keeping us up-to-date with a nightly report and photos. It was so comforting knowing that our pets were in such good hands and we didn’t need to worry. She followed all the details on the notes we left and asked questions when she had a few. We came home to a well-kept house and happy pets! So glad we found such a caring, trustworthy, and reliable sitter. Thank you again!”

About: **DOG & CAT FIRST AID/CPR CERTIFIED** **experience with rabbits/hamsters/guinea pigs** I have helped take care of my neighbors cats for the last 15 years or so. I have taken care of free roam rabbits, cats, puppies and senior dogs, as well as other small pets. I currently help my fiancée with her two toy poodles. I currently have open availability to watch animals. My current job is remote and I am able to come as needed for services. My weekends are also free as needed. I am very detail oriented and will follow instructions listed about securing your pet, whether this be in a crate, or fenced in yard, or with a harness on walks. My home is fenced in and gated to contain pets inside.

About: I've worked at a dog daycare for over a year now. I drive dogs home and pet sit as well. Always making sure all the pops get as much play, exercise and love as possible!! I am available any time Monday through Friday after 1pm to take care of your pups. I am available for weekends too! Whatever you need! For pet and house sitting I always make sure the dogs are loved and cared for. I feed them, let them out to use the bathroom, walks, play time, and hangout with them!

About: I love to work with animal, I’ve been in the veterinary profession for 10+ years. If your pet has special care instructions I will follow them perfectly. I have dogs, cats, and horses at home so I am very comfortable working with all sizes of animals. I also know how to care for birds, fish, guinea pigs, and hamsters and pigs. I know how much a pet can mean to someone so ill will care for yours as if they were my own I currently work 4 days a week. I am available Fridays to Sunday’s if you are looking for a weekend getaway or if you have a busy weekend and would like your dog to go for a walk I don’t offer in my home dog services but can offer cat or small animal boarding. You tell me home you’d like your pet cared for, weather it’s taking them for a walk or just letting them out in a fenced in area

About: My love for my own pets inspired me to continue working with animals during college! With a major in psychology and a goal of working with therapy animals in the future, I love learning and growing as much as I can. I have professional experience in animal shelters, and a therapy animal program! I'm hoping to spend more time gaining experience working with animals. Not only is it enjoyable to hangout with furry friends, but it will be beneficial to my future career working in animal assisted therapy! “Michael house sat with our two pooches for 14 days. Our reactive, stranger-disliking dog took to Michael on first meeting. Michael responded immediately to any messages that we sent, and kept us informed with regular notes and photos of the hounds. About: I have 14+ years experience in the veterinary field. Learning about animal behaviors, preventative care and physical health is a passion of mine. I am a very well rounded animal enthusiast that loves to stay busy. Some of my extracurriculars include training my Australian shepherd, whether it’s dock diving, agility or overall obedience. I will hold each pet to standards that support good manners, so some training may be associated with my services. I strive to exercise your fur babies intellectually as well as physically. I am very detailed oriented, and consider myself very observant. I’m not afraid to communicate and ask questions regarding your pets’ needs. I would be caring for your pet around my typical work schedule, which is M-F ~8-6pm, but I can always drop in mid day during lunch. Communicating your expectations so I may practice proper time management is important for a successful and stress free pet sitting job. I have a very well socialized 5yo male, 50lb, Australian shepherd, Oshie and he loves to play. Additionally I can provide walks, and play sessions. Hikes are also supported.

That would be enough to most sitters, but Sarah takes it a step further. She cleaned the house, took in our mail, and even cleaned the bedding she slept on. We know of no other dog sitter that does that, but Sarah’s level of commitment to the job she does makes her the best option on Rover in our opinion. No worries here, do yourself a favor and hire her.”
