“Jorden is conscientious and takes care of business. More to the point, Jorden is one of my dog's favorite people, and the cat came out to look and see Jorden on the 2nd day, which is a lot of friendliness on his part!”

“We’ve been struggling to find a new dog sitter since ours moved away a couple years ago. We’ve found wonderful sitters in Callie and Gemma! They house sat for us for a few nights and sent pup pics multiple times a day to show us how much fun everyone was having. One of our dogs isn’t as welcoming as the other but was gentle and opened right up to Gemma and Callie. Callie and Gemma filled the dog pool for our pups when it was hot out and sprayed them with the hose. Callie took care of our house, our pups, and our garden. She washed all the dishes, sheets, and blankets; she remade beds and even checked in the day after we got home to see how our pups were doing. We’re so grateful we found Callie and Gemma and will be using them for all of our future sitting needs.”

“Mikayla stayed with our active Jack Russell for 2 weeks while we were away. I never worried about our pup, knowing that she was being taken care of and played with. Mikayla shared updates and pictures, and answered promptly when I checked in with her. I recommend her without hesitation, we have never been so at ease while away.”

“We had a great experience with Rachael! She was able to accommodate our last-minute request, was incredibly flexible with timing, and made the entire process stress-free. Most importantly, we felt completely confident that our puppy, Zeke, and cat, Ophie, were in excellent hands. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were being well cared for while we were away. We would happily book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter.”

“Jessica took wonderful care of our 11yr old pup who is going blind & almost completely deaf! She followed our instructions, kept him happy, took him on walks, gave him medicine, cuddled with him, basically the works! She sent pictures & updates about 3x a day, which made us feel at ease. I would highly recommend her to anyone! Thanks Jessica!!”
“We met April when last minute searching for an in home sitter. She immediately bonded with charly and provided such great care. She sent pics and videos and frequent updates. I will definitely book April again. Prompt, trustworthy, loves animals, wonderful pet caregiver!”

“Indigo stayed for a few nights to watch my dog and cat giving them lots of cuddles walks and keeping me apprised of how everyone was doing with frequent updates and photos. Indigo left the house spotless and would be welcome back anytime.”

“Sarah was great! She took the time to meet with me ahead of time to review Lucy's special needs. She even did research ahead of time so she would be familiar with her disorder. She arrived on time and communicated quickly every time I reached out. Lucy seemed very happy upon my return. She helped keep the house in order and even watered my plants. She is extremely kind and caring. I have fully confidence in leaving Lucy in her care. I will definitely continue to request Sarah as I need assistance.”

“Felicia took care of my dog and two cats for a long weekend. She is calm, patient, loving, and responsible and I highly recommend her services. My dog is shy and hesitant with new people but became very comfortable with Felicia who also kept me nice and up to date with how the animals were doing while I was away.”

“Matt was very attentive to our dog Bean and his personality. He took great care of him and our house while we were away for a long weekend out of state. Would definitely rebook in the future!”

About: I studied in the Veterinary Assisting program at Nashoba Valley Technical High School for 4 years, and graduated in 2025. During that time, I passed the TVMA Veterinary Assistant Certification (CVA) test. During this time, I became proficient in all of the skills a Veterinary Assistant would be expected to perform, and knowledgeable on relevant topics. I was also the recipient of the Certificate of Merit Achievement for Nashoba Tech’s Veterinary Assisting program. I had an amazing dog of my own who I loved and took care of for 10 years. I have also owned a guinea pig and taken care of numerous family cats throughout my life. I have been taking care of other people’s animals since I was 10 years old, watching the pets of family and friends. I am familiar with the care of all sorts of animals, not just limited to typical household pets. I have a lot of experience with animals with unique needs. My skills include fear free restraint and general handling, wound treatment, administration of medication, providing proper enrichment, and use of CPR. Here are some of the relevant certifications I have received: RESCUE- Veterinary Infection Preventionist Certification (September 2022) OSHA 10-hour Veterinary Certification (June 2022) Fear Free Certification (February 2023) Some of my other achievements: Recipient of the 2023 Massachusetts Student Achievement Award Member of the National Honors Society and National Technical Honors Society Selected attendee of 2023 MIAA Student Leadership Conference If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out! I am working part time as a doordasher, babysitter, and house cleaner, and my schedule is very adaptable. I prefer to schedule things at least two weeks in advance to keep a neat schedule. The farther out you book with me the more likely I am to be available, but I will still try my best to fit things in if they’re last minute. I take special care to ensure the animals I care for feel comfortable around me and are comfortable in their own homes. I always make sure to clean up after the animals and myself.

“I'm so lucky to have found Ami. She was caring, my puppy loves her from the start. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog in her care. She was also very punctual and sent constant updates and great pictures.”

“Amanda was AMAZING for our house sitting booking. She took such good care of our pitbull and cat. She really connects with animals and they absolutely love her. Our cat, who normally hates strangers and always hides, was curled up on her lap by the first night. We will definitely be booking her again!”
“Michael was great. He came over to meet the dogs a few days before we went away and they hit it off. He was always on time and took great care of the dogs. He was also quick to respond to messages. We highly recommend him to take care of your fur family.”

“Kayla was fantastic! She helped me in short notice and stayed at my place. I got updates on my dog and how he was doing, and she was very communicative regarding her schedule in tandem with my dog’s. She also happened to be at my place when there was an issue with a leak, and if it wasn’t for her quick response to me then I would’ve come home to a huge mess. She cares about you and your companion(s)! Thank you for being compassionate and respectful, Kayla!”

About: I have 14+ years experience in the veterinary field. Learning about animal behaviors, preventative care and physical health is a passion of mine. I am a very well rounded animal enthusiast that loves to stay busy. Some of my extracurriculars include training my Australian shepherd, whether it’s dock diving, agility or overall obedience. I will hold each pet to standards that support good manners, so some training may be associated with my services. I strive to exercise your fur babies intellectually as well as physically. I am very detailed oriented, and consider myself very observant. I’m not afraid to communicate and ask questions regarding your pets’ needs. I would be caring for your pet around my typical work schedule, which is M-F ~8-6pm, but I can always drop in mid day during lunch. Communicating your expectations so I may practice proper time management is important for a successful and stress free pet sitting job. I have a very well socialized 5yo male, 50lb, Australian shepherd, Oshie and he loves to play. Additionally I can provide walks, and play sessions. Hikes are also supported.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 1,241 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Greenville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Greenville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Greenville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Greenville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Greenville. On Rover:
- 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
