About: I have owned and cared for pets my entire life and I love every kind! I have an active household and I am always up for play, walk, or snuggles. I am a work-from-home mom, so I am literally always home. Work is flexible and non-demanding, so I will be able to take your fur baby outside throughout the day for walks and potty breaks as needed. I do also have four children who love animals too, so please be aware they are in the home while I am watching your pup. They are happy to join me for a walk and give lots of petting. I am typically up early in the mornings to catch the school bus, things relax during the day, then get a little busier at 4pm when kids and Dad get home. Dogs get long walks at this time and then head home for dinner, settling, and bedtime. I have two cats (they steer clear of dogs for the most part, but do enjoy snuggles if inclined), a Golden Retriever who is still a puppy, and a newly adopted Great Dane. We love to play! We play hard and sleep hard. My Golden, named Kevin, absolutely loves dogs and will run with them for hours. He’s very active, but understands that not all dogs are as rambunctious and energetic as he, so can give them their space as needed. Abe is your typical Great Dane, barks at anything in the yard, loves walks and running, and tries to lay on top of me and snuggle and much as possible. While we don’t have a wholly fenced in yard, we have a large front and backyard which I let pets run freely in. We have a *small* fenced-in kennel which we can use if requested, but I don’t usually leave dogs outside for long periods of time. We also utilize an invisible fence for my own dogs, but will only use this on boarders if specifically requested. I am always outside to accompany dogs, but if you have a runner, let me know and I can put them on the lead or keep them leashed while outside. We live on a quiet cul-de-sac, our neighbors are great, but we do live up against the woods and close-ish to Mt. Monadnock, so I will be cautious of off-leash activities if your pup is not accustomed to that. Indoors, we have only one room we gate off where I keep my work equipment and the kids keep their toys. Dogs are allowed on furniture and in beds if they want! We have lots of toys for chewing and playing, and we aren’t afraid of the occasional accident (with regard to ‘dog ate my homework’ to potty on the floor)! We also love hugs and kisses and don’t shy away from any-sized dog curling up in our laps.
About: I am an all around animal lover with years of experience caring for both cats and dogs. I believe that each and every animal is unique and has different wants and needs, so I try to give special attention where it is needed! I love to get outside and explore whenever I can, whether it’s a walk around the block or hitting some trails for a hike, I would be happy to be able to bring a furry friend along with me! I have experience with overnight pet sitting (for up to a month) as well as administering medications. I have experience in caring for senior/special needs pets also. I currently have a flexible schedule and am available week day mornings and afternoons, along with occasional evenings and weekends depending on the owner's needs. Safety is my first priority and I strive to make sure your pet is comfortable in their environment. I understand that some animals can take a while to warm up.

“Callie was terrific with our 8 month old puppy! He is in his teenage phase and can be difficult - but Callie did an excellent job keeping him entertained, out of troubled and most important comfortable/relaxed. We will be repeat customers, for sure!”

“Tatyana is wonderful to work with and is super responsible and reliable. She is a great communicator and sends us lots of pictures of Sasha while we are away. We will definitely be reaching out to her again soon for more cat sitting in our home. She is the best.”

“Our experience with Mary was SO great. She was very flexible around our holiday schedule and was in constant communication throughout. Would definitely recommend her and will be using her again.”

“Amanda has been amazing! She’s done a couple of drop-ins for me to give my cat her medication, and did a long weekend stay at my house. She left my place in the same state it was in when I left, and provided updates at the end of each visit.”
About: Dog mom for the past 8 years and recently lost my girl to cancer. I'd be happy to love on your pup while you're away! I'm a full time teacher so only available for pet care on weekends and breaks during the school year but have full availability in summer. I love having dogs in my house where they can have their own bedroom space or share my room. 1.9 acres next to the rail trail means lots of walks and time spent outside. I also love helping pets work on their manners and good training habits and am happy to help dogs with specific behavior challenges or needs.
“I highly recommend April! We booked with her for 3 nights of house sitting in our home and our pup had a blast!! April sent regular photos, videos and updates, and our girl got lots of walks, playtime and snuggles. We were so glad to have her and can’t wait to work with her again the next time we go away!”

“Julisa was wonderful - she stayed in frequent contact, sent pictures and, when our rascal of a dog breached the fence and ran off, she immediately got on the phone with me and we tracked him down at a neighbor’s house. I know what a terrible feeling that is when watching someone else’s furry babies and Julisa handled it so well.”

“Amanda was AMAZING for our house sitting booking. She took such good care of our pitbull and cat. She really connects with animals and they absolutely love her. Our cat, who normally hates strangers and always hides, was curled up on her lap by the first night. We will definitely be booking her again!”

About: I've been helping take care of dogs since I could walk. My family owned at least one dog at all times and my grandmother owned many more. I have worked with purebreds, rescues, big dogs, small dogs, dogs with behavior issues and anything in between. I also have been a handler for a comfort dog for a police department and have been trained in that field. I have trained puppies and have also cared for senior dogs. I love all dogs and think every single one deserves love and happiness! I work Monday-Friday from 8-4 but am available to come home on my lunch break. My fiance works Thursday-Sunday so would be available all day Monday-Wednesday so we have a lot of availability for focused care for your pets. I have two dogs that are very friendly and love other dogs. If you need your dog to be separated, we own a crate as well as live in a large home where we can easily give the dogs the space they need. We live on 10acres of land and can provide long walks around our house or the neighborhood. When taking care of dogs in their own home, I am very respectful of the house and the animals and can accommodate almost any need you would have for house/dog sitting.
About: I worked in animal shelters for over 15 years and have lots of experience taking care of dogs, cats and chickens. I am experienced in giving meds and insulin. I am extremely diligent with my level of care and the pets safety and comfort are my highest priority. I have 3 dogs of my own and understand the worries having someone else care for them. I am dependsble, mature and have a wide open schedule. I’m currently in the slow period of my business. I am currently available any time of the week or time of the day with enough notice. I will follow whatever instructions you leave for your pet and your home including their routine, preferences, meds, structure, etc. my goal is to take care of them just like you!

Peterborough pet parents share their Rover experiences
Theresa did an amazing job taking care of our two dogs at our home at kind of short notice after a change in our plans. She was great with both our dogs and was phenomenal at building trust with our shy younger dog. By the end of our meet and greet, Theresa had already earned love and attention and play bows from our nervous pup! When we came home, the dogs were so relaxed and had clearly had such a fun time. We’d recommend Theresa and would absolutely book her again in future!
