About: Hey there! My name is Jess, I’m am a registered veterinary technician. I know there is often pets needing last minute stays and care, and we will do our best to provide that! Being an RVT I am very qualified and experienced to take care dogs and cats with health issues that may require more care. I have dogs of my own that requires twice a day medication, as well as a cat. I work full time Monday-Friday but have a lunch hour to let out dogs. I will provide daily updates and photos so you know your pets are being well taken care of. Your pets will be treated as one of my own! One less thing to worry about while you are away! I work full time at a veterinary clinic. I am able to let pets out on my lunch hour and right before/after work. I am typically away on weekends but open to requests in the event I am available. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities. As an RVT with years of hands on experience, I’m comfortable caring for pets with a variety of personalities, ages, and medical needs. When caring for your pet in your home, I treat your space with the same respect I would expect in my own home. I follow your instructions carefully, maintain your pet’s normal feeding, medication, and make sure doors, gates, and other areas are secure before I leave. I’m also very attentive to changes in behavior, appetite, bathroom habits, energy level, or overall appearance. If I notice something unusual, I’ll communicate with you promptly. I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident that your pet is safe and well cared for. I take the time to build trust and provide plenty of patience, attention, and positive interaction.

“Michelle was so amazing, it warmed my heart to know someone was actually giving my cat love and attention as much as I would because that’s usually a pet owners biggest fear. I was out of the country for around two weeks and worried about my cat because she tends to be a little shy and scared of new people and typically i only know how to deal with her. Michelle was perfect !! letting my cat slowly warm up to her presence visit by visit. She would send photos every visit and that was very reassuring, she would play with my cat and feed her and cuddle with gigi. I would get photos of gigi playing, running, and cuddling which is not her norm for when she meets new people so i was very happy with that.There wasn’t a moment where I was worried about my gigi. Michelle is so nice and compassionate and sweet and it shows because my gigi warmed up to her, she responds to messages and updates me where i felt reassured and comfortable, I could not be happier that i found her to take care of my cat and i was honestly lucky to have her as my pet sitter.I would definitely choose her again over anyone if I ever had to leave my cat again but in general with any animal because she actually cares.”

About: I grew up on a farm taking care of a wide variety of animals, and have a senior husky of my own who is my family. Compassionate care and enrichment is my specialty - exploring sniff spots, play time, having a calm demeanor, and understanding animal behavior is essential to ensure they are happy and healthy! I have logged over 500+ hours as a wildlife rehabber, which includes caring for a variety of animals with different needs and diets, administering medication, and even tube feeding the young so they can eventually be placed back into their natural habitat. Originally from Topeka, I've volunteered extensively at Helping Hands Humane Society and now at the Lawrence Humane Society, spending time in the cat and dog socialization areas. Pets are our family. Whether your dog loves long adventures, leisurely walks, or simply relaxing at home, I'll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you're away. I work a remote job which means I have flexibility to take care of your pet(s) throughout the day, and of course flexibility in the evenings and weekends. I am highly active and take advantage of getting steps in, and what better way to do that than with a furry friend (or two)! I currently do not offer in-home care at this time due to limited space. About: I’ve had pets my whole life (I’m 60) except for the last 7 years. I love loving on sweet animals. I’ve had dogs and cats, puppies and kittens, big dogs and little dogs. Love them all! I work full time but can work remotely, if necessary. Otherwise, I’m home most of the time. I have a fenced backyard that is small. My home is a single story. I could also pet sit in the pets own home so they are familiar with their surroundings. My yard is fenced and I don’t currently have any pets living in the home. Your pet would get all of my attention. I’m easy going and patient and adaptable to your pet’s needs.

Terra was so flexible when we had to make some last minute changes to her care schedule due to our kitty, Nickel, coming down with a UTI the morning we were leaving for vacation. Terra proceeded to take such great care of Nickel. She kept us regularly updated about how Nickel was doing, and sent pictures, which were so comforting to see. Nickel was not so sure about taking his meds from a new person, but Terra did a great job working with him and trying different strategies to help him. About: Growing up I was never without a pet. We always had cats and dogs. I have helped care for pets since I was a little girl and often watched animals for family friends. I had my very first dog at 18 who turned out to be deaf. Taking care of him was not easy but so worth all the love we shared. Sadly he passed away from Cancer in 2013. I live a few blocks from the Eudora Elementary school and love walking the trail that goes behind it. I find joy in watching my own animals run and play. About: I started pet sitting a couple years ago for my family and friends and it’s truly a job I love doing. I have experience with pet sitting several different dogs, varying in age and breed. I have experience with senior dogs. My responsibilities while pet sitting dogs included taking dogs on daily walks, preparing food and water, administering medication, and even giving baths. Friends and family often ask me to house-sit, feed, entertain, and care for their pets while they are out of town for any amount of time. I have a wide range of experience including kittens, birds, rodents, and large dogs. I currently work part-time/seasonal on a flexible schedule.
