About: Hey there! My name is Jessica, I’m am a registered veterinary technician. I know there is often pets needing last minute stays and care, and we will do our best to provide that! Being an RVT I am very qualified and experienced to take care dogs and cats with health issues that may require more care. I have dogs of my own that requires twice a day medication, as well as a cat. I work full time Monday-Friday but have a lunch hour to let out dogs. I will provide daily updates and photos so you know your pets are being well taken care of. Your pets will be treated as one of my own! One less thing to worry about while you are away! I work full time at a veterinary clinic. I am able to let pets out on my lunch hour and right before/after work. I am typically away on weekends but open to requests in the event I am available. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities. As an RVT with years of hands on experience, I’m comfortable caring for pets with a variety of personalities, ages, and medical needs. When caring for your pet in your home, I treat your space with the same respect I would expect in my own home. I follow your instructions carefully, maintain your pet’s normal feeding, medication, and make sure doors, gates, and other areas are secure before I leave. I’m also very attentive to changes in behavior, appetite, bathroom habits, energy level, or overall appearance. If I notice something unusual, I’ll communicate with you promptly. About: I started pet sitting a couple years ago for my family and friends and it’s truly a job I love doing. I have experience with pet sitting several different dogs, varying in age and breed. I have experience with senior dogs. My responsibilities while pet sitting dogs included taking dogs on daily walks, preparing food and water, administering medication, and even giving baths. I’m currently a college student at the University of Kansas, and I am taking classes on the weekdays. I have selected that I’m available on all weekdays, because I have several gaps between classes that will allow me check on and take care of your pets every 2-4 hours. After 3 o’clock on every weekday except Thursday I will be able provide full time care as well as on weekends. About: Growing up I was never without a pet. We always had cats and dogs. I have helped care for pets since I was a little girl and often watched animals for family friends. I had my very first dog at 18 who turned out to be deaf. Taking care of him was not easy but so worth all the love we shared. Sadly he passed away from Cancer in 2013. I live a few blocks from the Eudora Elementary school and love walking the trail that goes behind it. I find joy in watching my own animals run and play. I treat all animals as if they were my own children. I currently work through the week but I am looking to grow my clients through Rover so I may watch animals full time as I absolutely love them! Right now I am available in the early afternoon/evening and most weekends to do check-ins. BOARDING in our home: Since we have no pets our own, yours will get all the attention, and no children to bother the senior dogs who just want to relax. We also do not accept more than one family's pets at a time, so no need to worry if your pet will get along with others. We have experience with anxious and reactive dogs as well. We encourage you to visit our home beforehand a few times so your pet is not confused and scared when you leave them for a few days. We have a completely fenced in yard, but dogs are never left out by themselves. With two of us working together, there is hardly a time when your pet will be left alone in the home, meaning we can accommodate animals who do not like to be kenneled. We will listen to and follow your instructions and preferences to make your pet feel as comfortable as possible. Cats will have their own room to chill in or can roam the house freely.
