“She is great we have 3 dog and 2 of them can be a little problematic, one is super anxious and bites when she is scared.... But for Suzanne it was just another day. Suzanne is very good a getting back to you as soon as possible, you are getting a true professional sitter vs someone who does it as a hobby. Look no further Suzanne is one of the best sitters rover has to offer!”

“We have two very high energy dogs that are very needy. It’s hard for us to go away because they can be a lot for one person. Elizabeth made fast friends with them. She sent us pictures and updates throughout our whole trip. It was such a burden off of our shoulders to have someone provide such great care for our animals!”

“Amanda was wonderful with our pets while we were out of town. Our doggo is wary of new people, but Ananda has a magic touch and knew just how to make her feel safe. We came home to a very clean house and two happy, healthy pets.”

“Maria was a great help and our two medium sized pit mixes sure loved the company, treats, and snuggles! She sent pictures each day, brought in our mail for us, left the house how she found it, and was always very communicative. Will definitely be asking Maria to watch our pups for future trips!”

“Alicia took such great care of our dog and cats! She was incredibly flexible, accommodated all their needs and preferences, and always kept us updated with pictures and videos so we could see how the pets were doing”

“Alex was fantastic! We had never used Rover before and were in a bind. We have 3, 1.5 year old dogs and a cat so it is a little involved and she handled it so well. She came and met them before we left, and sent photos and updates while we were gone. She stayed at the house, and it was cleaner than when we left! Such a good experience and we wound 100% recommend her!”

“Jacqueline was a wonderful sitter for our lively pups. She sent frequent updates about their daily activities, their temperament and daily routines, as well as, updates about the home. Would unquestionably recommend her services to anyone looking for excellent dog care while you are away.”

“Karenna is great! She always takes wonderful care of our girl and I love the photos she sends through the day. She has been amazing on short notice and with schedule changes.”

“Zana was wonderful. She communicated with me throughout with ease. She sent photos and was an excellent sitter with my pup and kitties. Highly recommend.”

“Stephanie did a wonderful job for me. My almost-senior cat, Hazelnut, took to her, “shadowing” her. Stephanie did all that I had asked and then some. She followed feeding cat feeding protocol to the letter in addition to watering plants, and even trash/recycling management. Stephanie was very respectful of my home. I highly recommend Stephanie.”

About: Animals have always been an important part of my life, and I genuinely enjoy helping them feel safe, cared for, and loved while their people are away. I’ve cared for animals throughout my life, from family pets growing up to paid pet and house sitting for friends and private clients. I’m a longtime yoga teacher, so creating a calm, grounded environment comes naturally to me. Friends, clients, and neighbors have trusted me to care for their dogs, cats, and homes, and I understand how important consistency, communication, and reliability are. Whether your pet loves long walks, quiet companionship, or playful interaction, I’ll care for them with the same attention and respect I’d want for my own family. I’m a part-time yoga teacher with a flexible schedule, which allows me to provide attentive care for your pets. I carefully plan my schedule around the animals in my care and will always discuss my teaching times with you in advance. My priority is making sure your pets are safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. I understand that inviting someone into your home or entrusting them with your beloved pet requires a great deal of trust. I treat every home with respect and every animal with patience, kindness, and attentive care. I follow your pet’s routine as closely as possible, communicate regularly with updates and photos, and will always reach out if I have any questions or concerns. My goal is for you to return home to a happy pet and a well-cared-for home. If boarding is needed, I provide a quiet, calm, smoke free home and accept only one family’s pets at a time so I can give them my full attention. I carefully follow each pet’s established routine and will communicate regularly with updates and photos. My goal is for your pet to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away.
“Raimey took wonderful care of my two kitties! It’s always stressful leaving behind pets when you go vacation but she made us feel very comfortable and reassured throughout the entire process. I got regular updates on their meals, playing and sleeping schedules. She’s very reliable and I will definitely be booking her again :)”

About: I have over 10 years of experience in pet-sitting, which means I have experience with puppies, senior dogs, cats, sick animals, and behaviorally-challenged animals. I am also a proud pet owner myself - I have a 14-year old rescue dog named Greta, and I often cared for 3 of my roommates' cats in college (Luna, Socks, and Boo Radley). What sets me apart from other sitters is that I will care for your pet like they are my own, meaning constant love and attention, as well as careful attention to detail. I take your care instructions very seriously and follow directions to a tee. Every pet has unique needs, and it is my pleasure to not only meet those needs but also to make sure they are happy and as calm as can be. Because I work remotely, I can be available to pet-sit all day if needed. If my family isn't home, I will need to return a few times a day to care for my own furry friend, but please know that being of service to you means YOUR pet is the priority! Unfortunately, my pup (Greta) is pretty antisocial, which means I am unable to host dogs at my house. Because I live with my parents, they can take care of Greta while I am gone, and I am more than happy to stay at your house as long or as often as you need. I will always make sure your pet gets fed accurately, adequately, and punctually, and always has fresh water available. I also love to play with pets and make sure they get enough outdoor time and exercise if needed! Additionally, I always clean up after myself and your pet, and I make it my goal to leave your home just as it was when I arrived, if not cleaner. If I stay overnight, I always wash the sheets and linens, as well as clean any counter or surface I use.
About: I’m currently training to be a therapist so I have a keen sense for emotions… pets included! I’ve dog sat for family numerous times and am hoping to branch out. I love being around animals, am a very easy guest, and will happily send you any pictures of your pets! I have class 1-9pm on Monday and Wednesday but am mostly free otherwise! I get up early to swim twice a week (Fri and Sat), but can go straight back if needed. I don’t do much, so I’m pretty open! I’m willing to do whatever I can to help the pet feel safe and welcomed. Whether they want to play, rest, eat, or walk, I’m happy to help them out!
“Amazing house sitter, responsible and communicative! We had Jeff stay at our house for a week with our elderly pitbull and energetic saluki. Jeff took great care of our boys and our house and kept us updated the whole time. He is friendly and professional, 10/10 would reccommend!”

“Emma was amazing with our very anxious and reactive pup. She replied immediately to a last minute house sitting request, came right over to get the lowdown, was great at keeping Bruno calm, and took great care of him! He developed a little eye irritation while she was with him. She did an excellent job letting us know about it while also conveying that she wasn’t particularly concerned.”

Breanna is a wonderful pet sitter! Both of my dogs immediately took to her, and even snuggled with her on the couch. She was timely, sent lots of photos of my pups, and communicated effectively. She even came by for a lengthy meet and greet before house sitting! I'd hire her again in a heartbeat.

Victoria became fast friends with our dog, Oscar! Her care was exceptional, even brushing his teeth and administering medications. She communicated with us daily with photos and updates. She even washed and changed towels and linens, and watered our numerous plants. She’s a winner!

Sabrina stayed with my 3 dogs and cat for a week. She took wonderful care of them and the house. She was very responsive, cleaned up everything she used, and even painted adorable pictures of all the animals for us during her stay. Definitely would hire again as she took great care of our needy crew and recommend to anyone else!

Alicia is the best! She sat our 2 pups (Golden and Golden doodle) for the weekend sending pictures and keeping us updated the entire time. We came home to the house like we never left and the puppies were happy! Will have her sit again when she can! Thanks for taking care of our fur babies.

She is great we have 3 dog and 2 of them can be a little problematic, one is super anxious and bites when she is scared.... But for Suzanne it was just another day. Hannah recently watched our golden retriever and Siamese cat rescue while we were away for a wedding, and from start to finish we couldn't be more impressed. From the very first meeting, her professionalism and compassion was what really stood out - she immediately was able to put our pets (and us!) at ease. When we came back, our babies were in excellent spirits and we found our home looking better than we left it, which was very much appreciated. Hannah is a rare find - reliable, professional, and genuinely kind-hearted. We will definitely be booking her again and cannot recommend her enough to any pet parents looking for peace of mind.

Stephanie did a wonderful job for me. My almost-senior cat, Hazelnut, took to her, “shadowing” her. Stephanie did all that I had asked and then some. She followed feeding cat feeding protocol to the letter in addition to watering plants, and even trash/recycling management. Stephanie was very respectful of my home. I highly recommend Stephanie.

As always, Leslie was the consummate professional and took such great care of our dogs, Cada and Lucy while we were away on our honeymoon! She kept us up to date with photos and news. When Cada had a mild/moderate health issue, she handled it extremely well, notifying us and taking Cada to the vet as appropriate and dispensing her medications as directed. She also got Cada a cone and made sure she was happy and distracted while wearing it. While you never want something negative to happen to your pets while you're away, we're so glad that Leslie is the one who was there to handle the issue and take care of our dogs. She also watered our plants and took good care of our house. Huge thanks, Leslie!

Regan was absolutely wonderful coming to stay with our dogs with less than 24 hours notice! She loved on our golden and managed the craziness of a 9 week old rescue heeler mix with puppy energy, piranha teeth and a lack of solid potty habits. 🤣 I was so glad to have someone so loving and attentive here when I couldn't be! If we need a Pet Sitter again moving forward, I absolutely will be asking Regan first! 🐾❤️🐾

FAQs for House Sitting - Timonium
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Timonium on Rover is $39.96 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 3,365 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Timonium. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Timonium walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Timonium maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Timonium choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Timonium. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 93% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
