“Lili did such a beautiful job taking care of our boys and our home! We loved the daily videos and extra care she gave our boys. We can’t express how grateful we are to her and would love to hire her anytime we travel!”

“Lauren and Kevin did a great job dog/ snd house sitting. The dogs were happy. They ended up sleeping in the guest room with them! Lauren took careful notes and followed directions accurately, including taking care of the pond and koi. They left the house just as they found it. I would definitely use them again.”

About: I grew up with all types of different pets in the household from dogs to guinea pigs to birds and even shrimp! So, naturally, I came to love for all animals! Loving them means to also care for them, so I had to provide care for each animal making sure they were properly fed, cleaned, and had a safe environment to sleep. What you can expect from me: * Quick responses * Reliable scheduling * Updates/photos during visits * Respect for your home and routine I currently work part time and go to school full time, but I still have plenty of time to dedicate to the loved animals of San Antonio. I promise to provide the absolute best care to your pets and to your homes. I will make sure your pets are kept safe and properly cared for. I also walk my dogs all the time, so I know proper handling and care when walking a dog.

“We just moved to San Antonio and used Rover for the first time, since we have no friends and family near us. Jamie sent us pictures of our dogs the entire time we were gone, and for a crazy dog momma like myself, that made me so much more at ease. Jamie was very polite, respected our home, and gave our babies lots of love and attention while we were gone. She fed them on time, administered meds and followed our strict guidelines for our older girl who has a torn ACL. We usually dread leaving town and now we can actually look forward to it knowing we have Jamie!”

About: I’m a lifetime pet owner with one small dog now. He is a Pomeranian named Stitch! I rescued him two years ago and he’s full of energy! He absolutely loves playing with other dogs and we walk pretty regularly. I love being outdoors and enjoy long walks. I do allow dogs to sleep in my bed and love furry cuddles! I have plenty of experience with dogs who have medical needs and feel comfortable administering meds. Looking forward to meeting your furry friend! My schedule is extremely flexible which is perfect for checking in on pups during the day and taking them out on walks or following their feeding schedule. I live in a house with a secure fenced in yard and plenty of space to run around! My neighborhood also has sidewalks and walking trails that are perfect for dogs.
“Grace Ella is amazing! Once you meet her, you can see her love for animals, their care and being attentative to her client’s needs. She truly loved our dog as if it were her own. Hope to have Grace Ella back soon to stay with our doggie!”

“Dora went above and beyond caring for the pups and left me feeling super comfortable with the dogs! They loved her staying over! Would 100% recommend Dora for your dog sitting / walking needs!! She’s the best!!”

“Avrielle was a wonderful pet sitter. She watched our 2 dogs and 3 cats while we were on vacation. She sent pictures every day and was very attentive to our animal's needs. She kept us informed of daily activities and feedings. All of our animals enjoyed being around her. I will not hesitate to hire her again the next time we go on vacation! Thank you again Avrielle you are AWESOME!”

“I’m so incredibly grateful for Abby. We’ve used her twice and she’s been wonderful both times. I feel like she genuinely cares for my pets and communicates often with lots of pictures. I always have so much anxiety leaving my pets for extended periods, but Abby has really put me at ease and made me feel confident they’re all well cared for.”

“Ella did a great job with our animals on a short notice booking. She was very helpful and communicative while we were away. Our dogs were very happy and well taken care of during our time away.”

About: I have 3 dogs and 2 cats in my own home. I am comfortable with a rambunctious young pup or older senior dogs. Growing up surrounded by both dogs AND cats means I actually speak both languages 😄. Luckily all our animals live together comfortably. I know how to read animal body language, keep everyone calm and safe, and make sure your fur baby feels right at home whether they're with me for a walk or when I visit. I am available most days of the week for walks and visits. This is currently my full time work so I can fit in your busy schedule as needed. We have a fully fenced yard with our dogs are comfortable being in kennels when needed. I walk my younger dog every day to help burn off energy.

“The babies absolutely loved her. Maeci treated my pups like family and brought along a great wealth of knowledge and experience that left me confident in her ability to take care of them while I was gone for a weekend. I would absolutely recommend her for your pet sitting needs.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Timberwood Park
We had the absolute pleasure of having Jamie stay with our crew for 4 nights — 4 kitties and 2 small dogs — and she was fantastic from start to finish! She sent the most wonderful updates throughout the entire stay: photos of the pets enjoying their 3 meals a day, fun playtime pics, sweet bedtime snuggles, and everything in between. Her consistent communication kept us completely reassured while we were away — it truly felt like we were right there with them. Knowing they were happy, well-fed, and getting plenty of love and attention made all the difference. When we got home, the house was spotless and everything was in perfect order. She clearly went above and beyond to take great care of our furry family members and our home. We trust her completely and will absolutely be booking her again for future trips. Thanks to her, we can now travel with total peace of mind. Highly, highly recommend — she’s a true pet lover and a professional you can count on! ❤️ Thank you so much, Jamie. Our babies adored having you here.

Jessica is a wonderful pet sitter! She was very kind and patient with my 4 crazy dogs and they adore her. She also kept my house clean and tidy, which is a lovely thing to come home to. With our permission, she brought her own dog to stay at our house, because she was house sitting and it was easier that way. Her dog, Daisy, looks intimidating but is a very sweet dog and she got along fine with my dogs. We ended up having to extend our stay overseas because I was not well, and Jessica took care of everything with no problems at all. I recommend her very highly!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Timberwood Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Timberwood Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Timberwood Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Timberwood Park. On Rover:
- 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
