As a retired RN and Tai Chi teacher, my days are pretty relaxed these days—no job pulling me in different directions, so the pets really get all my attention. I do go to church or Foodbank for volunteering sometimes, and I take the occasional nursing assistant class, but I make sure none of that messes with pet care. My two girls are obsessed with animals. The second they get home from school, they’re all over the pets—playing gently, giving belly rubs, or just sitting there hugging them. Honestly, it’s my favorite part of the day. My son’s in the military, but he’s home most weekends and loves taking the dogs out running around. They both get so pumped up—it’s a blast to watch. Everything just flows naturally here. Your fur baby doesn’t feel like a “guest”—they jump straight into our family routine. Quiet mornings, yard playtime, snuggling on the couch at night… they’re part of it all, getting tons of love and attention 24/7 in a calm, safe spot where everything feels easy and happy.

Safety, trust & environment
Safety and cleanliness are super important for every family member—including each fur baby who comes here. Old nursing habits die hard, you know? After every pet leaves, I do a full deep clean of the whole house with the Tool Klean UV-C light. It kills over 99.9% of bacteria and viruses, without leaving any chemical residue or ozone smell. The Levoit Core P350 pet air purifier runs 24/7 to keep the air fresh and clean, and I have two oxygenated water fountains ready so they’re always drinking really fresh, filtered water that’s great for their health. Every weekend I make sure to clean the backyard thoroughly: pick up any missed poop, hose down the grass and remove all traces, because my kids love playing back there with the pets and I want it to stay safe and spotless for everyone. For cats, I don’t use a regular automatic litter box (the self-cleaning kind most people have)—I prefer manual scooping morning and evening with a urine-filter system. This way I can check their pee and poop right away every time, spot any changes in habits or health immediately, and keep everything completely odor-free and comfortable. You’re welcome to bring your own litter box if your cat has a favorite—it helps them feel more at home and relaxed. As a retired RN, I stay calm and attentive, always watching for any little signs of stress or health changes. I usually limit to no more than 2 pets at a time (we can discuss special needs), so each one gets truly personalized attention and never feels rushed or overlooked.

A typical day
I love to stimulate your dogs physically and mentally every day, keeping them happy and relaxed. Mornings start with gentle Tai Chi as a soft stretch to begin the day, while taking them to the backyard for potty and fresh air—it’s our quiet, cozy way to wake up together. Then I get fresh filtered water ready, quick litter scoop if there’s a cat, and a nutritious breakfast. During the day: full free run of the sunny house—no closed doors. They lounge on the sofa, play with toys, explore everywhere, or nap whenever they want. We spend 2–4 hours in the fenced backyard having fun—chasing butterflies, sunbathing, rolling in the grass. After school my girls dive in with belly rubs, hugs, and brushing. Cats often come looking for pets at night or sneak into bed for cozy cuddles. Some really well-behaved fur babies even get a special massage treat! On weekends when my son’s home from the military, he takes the dogs for big energetic runs—they come back so happy and totally wiped out. Evenings are relaxed: short walks, dinner, then quiet snuggles with the family. As a retired RN with calm Tai Chi energy, I’m always watching for little mood or health signs and giving them tons of focused love. Real-time photos and videos go out all day via Rover Cards, and at the end I send a warm nursing care report card plus a keepsake boarding video so you can relive their happy time here.

Retired RN Loving Dog Care
Pet care experience
Pets are members of our family. As a retired RN with 15 years of experience, and Pet First Aid & CPR certification, I bring medical-grade attention, first aid readiness, and genuine compassion to every pet. I have hands-on care for cats, dogs, rabbits, turtles, fish, and lizards. Your fur baby stays in a calm, loving home environment — never crated, with full free roam of the house, daily belly rubs for dogs, cozy co-sleeping options for cats, and plenty of playtime. Usually just 2 pets max (happy to chat if you need more). for personalized focus. Daily photos/videos updates keep you connected, and I use hospital-grade UV disinfection after every stay to ensure zero cross-contamination. My family (daughters help with cuddles, son takes dogs for weekly runs) adds extra warmth and energy!

Reviews

Lili and family are always so great with my pup. I always feel confident leaving him there in this last time it was for over five days. She sent me updates into great care of him and you could tell he was just so happy when I picked him up. We will continue to use Lily and her family!

Lili and her family were absolutely wonderful! They took such great care of my pup! They offered him treats and lots of time outside, plus so many snuggles! Absolutely will rebook and recommend to anyone in need of help :)

Lili and her daughter were wonderful. They took such great care of my cats, one of which is diabetic while we were away for a weekend trip. She sent me lots of pics and updates and really made me feel ok with leaving my cats for a couple days. Thank you to Li and her daughter for everything.

The best sitter!! Rosie gets soo excited to see her every time ☺️
