“Kailea took excellent care of our three doggos! We were visiting Sarasota, but will definitely contact her again if we need pet care on future visits. Thanks, Kailea!”
“Vanessa is a kind, responsible, fantastic pet sitter, and she's truly an all-around wonderful person. I'm incredibly grateful to her for the services she's provided us over the years. It is a great comfort knowing my pets are in good hands and are shown love while I am gone. There is nobody I'd rather have watching over my babies. I requested multiple visits in the last several weeks, and Vanessa fit us into her schedule right away. She was flexible and most understanding when I requested some of the scheduled visits be rescheduled, despite it being somewhat last minute due to my work schedule. It is such a relief to have the help she has provided. If you have not had the pleasure of meeting Vanessa, then you have yet to meet the best pet sitter out there. She is the absolute best. I'm thankful to know her. She's not only a very good person, she's also a spectacular pet sitter.”

“Jill was absolutely amazing!! We booked her to watch our pups during our wedding weekend and it was one thing we didn’t have to worry about the entire time. Jill provided updates and the best photos! She also took our energetic lab on walks no problem.”

“Awesome!!! Molly not only took exceptional care of my cats but she took care of many things around the house while I was gone. Amazing person and extremely reliable and responsible. I will definitely be a repeat customer!”

About: Hi! I’m a huge animal lover and an active veterinary technician. Caring for animals is both my career and my passion, so your pet will be in experienced and loving hands. I have two dogs of my own. Toby is my sweet 9-year-old basset mix who is a tripod. He’s the king of belly rubs and spends most of his day happily napping. Luna is my 4-year-old doodle who has the opposite personality—she loves to play, run around, and dig in the backyard. Both dogs are very friendly and used to being around other animals. I do have children in my house - two boys. They will not be assisting with care but they do love animals and will be happy to give snuggles and pets! Because of my veterinary background, I’m comfortable caring for pets with medical needs. I can administer medications, including eye drops, insulin injections, fluids, and can check blood glucose levels when needed. I’m happy to help with pets who need a little extra care. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they’re here—just like part of the family. A big perk of staying with me is while I can still an active veterinary technician at Blue Pearl pet hospital, my husband is always home if I am not. Your pet will never be left alone more than an hour for a quick errand. I only work two days shifts a week, so I’m around quite often. Because of our work schedules, your pet will rarely be left alone. I only work four days a week, and my husband works from home, so there is almost always someone at the house to let the dogs out, feed them, and check on them throughout the day. Your pet will get lots of attention, supervision, and frequent potty breaks. I also know how important updates are when you’re away from your pet, so I make sure to send regular photos and updates so you can see how your pet is doing and feel comfortable while they’re staying with us. We live on a quiet street with a fully fenced-in backyard, giving dogs plenty of safe space to run, explore, and play. It’s a calm, pet-friendly environment where dogs can relax and enjoy time outside. 🐾
“I highly recommend Christina for her exceptional care and attention to detail. She was reliable, communicative, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. My cat was calm and well cared for when I returned. Everything was neat and orderly in my house. She brought all my mail and packages inside as well. I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again!”

“We had such a great experience with Samira! She took amazing care of our three cats and kept us updated the whole time with lots of pictures, which gave us such peace of mind while we were away. She even went the extra mile to troubleshoot our Litter-Robot and gave it a good cleaning. You can tell she truly cares about the animals she’s taking care of. She was amazing, and we would definitely recommend her and use her again!”

“Tracy is top-notch. She has helped me out a number of times, is very reliable and Ginger loves her. As a cat Dad I am grateful and feel assured when I have to go out of town. Highly recommended and appreciated.”

“Gracie was awesome! Pups were so happy to have someone to spend time with in the middle of my long work day. The photos were great to see too! Gracie was very quick to respond and gave us exactly the help we needed.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in The Meadows. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
