“Ruth is super responsive and very friendly with your babies! I had a last minute drop in I only had two hours to find someone and she was very fast at responding and helped me out in a pinch. Our original schedule was for 6 visits and she squeezed in the 7th for us last minute! Life saver!”

About: I am a lifelong dog owner with hands-on experience in both senior dog care and high-energy puppies. I offer a lifetime of personal pet ownership combined with years of providing reliable cat care and housesitting services for neighbors and family. I am patient with all animals and ready to give your pet the dedicated attention they deserve. Being a university student as long as I don't have classes I am available. I have a highly flexible schedule and am able to structure my study hours around your pet's needs, providing consistent supervision and companionship. I am mostly free in the afternoon on weekdays and any time on weekends. I tailor every visit to your pet's specific routine and comfort levels. Safety is always at the top of my mind, so I am vigilant about door security whenever entering a home. Once inside, my time is all theirs. For high-energy pets, I can spend my time burning off their energy in the yard or a safe space inside. For older pets, I provide calm companionship and a comforting presence. I am meticulous about following instructions regarding feeding, refreshing water, locking up, and keeping your home secure.

About: I have experience caring for a wide range of pets—including dogs and cats of all ages, as well as small animals like hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, and even chickens. Whether it’s walking energetic pups, providing calm companionship for senior pets, or making sure small animals are safe and comfortable, I bring patience, reliability, and genuine care to every visit. What sets me apart is my ability to adapt to each pet’s unique needs—whether that’s medication routines, special diets, or just knowing when they need a little extra love and attention. I really take the time to get to know each pet and what makes them feel safe and happy. I treat every animal like they’re my own, and I’m committed to providing a stress-free, trustworthy experience for both pets and their families. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I work Monday-Friday 9-5, so I have plenty of free time on weekends to give pets the attention they need. I’m home most of the day when I’m not working and always happy to help accommodate different schedules, whether it’s walks, drop-ins, house sitting, or boarding. I’m used to managing multiple pets with different needs. Caring for animals isn’t just part of my day, it’s something I truly enjoy. I provide a safe, calm, and pet-friendly environment where your pet can feel comfortable. I live with two friendly dogs, a social cat, and a bunny who are all used to being around other animals. My backyard is fully fenced, with a small garden, and a tree for shade, perfect for supervised outdoor time. Inside, I keep things clean and relaxed. I can easily separate pets if needed and set up playpens or cozy areas depending on your dog’s comfort level. Whether your pet is playful or prefers their own space, I’m happy to adjust to their needs and make sure they’re always safe and well cared for. I also follow any instructions closely in clients’ homes to maintain routines and comfort.
“Donovan was an amazing sitter for my cat , May. I was gone for 2 weeks, but I knew she was in good hands. Donovan was very communicative on her moods and eating habits . I received pictures everyday , which eased my mom guilt. Very kind and understanding. I’d recommend Donovan as a sitter to anyone and will be using him again”

About: Out of high school I was certified as a veterinary assistant and worked at a clinic for several years. I recently returned to the veterinary profession as a veterinary technician. My love and passion for all types of animals is something near and dear to me. Apart from working as a vet assistant and technician, I spent 11 years working and training at a farm where I spent a lot of time caring for and training horses. I have been my friends' go-to pet sitter for trips out of town and for the past four years I've been caring for my own pup, June who I adopted when she was just 4/5 weeks old. I'm comfortable with dogs of all sizes and breeds and comfortable with administering medication. I'm also comfortable walking puppies or pups who are early in their training. I do not have experience with very aggressive or reactive dogs. I have full availability on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and evening availability on Tuesdays and Thursdays. On weekends I’m typically not available, but might be able to take a few drop-in or walking appointments! In your home I am happy to follow any safety / training schedules you have for your pup including practice with basic commands, walks, crating, playing, etc.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - The Crossings
The best experience! This was the first time our dog and two cats stayed at home during our vacation. And I’m happy to report because of Jennifer the experience was 100% enjoyable and stress-free. Many pics at every drop-in, reports regarding their food, bathroom breaks and activities! Extremely communicative and reliable. Will definitely book again!

Alexandra was absolutely great while I was away for two weeks. She was very attentive, reliable, and made me feel completely at ease the entire time. She provided daily updates along with pictures, which I really appreciated and looked forward to. It was clear she genuinely cared and paid close attention to everything. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and attentive!!
Very thorough and communicative. Took lots of photos and wrote detailed descriptions of every visit. I was having a hard time getting my cat to eat her food, and she figured out a method to get her to lick the plate clean! Highly, highly recommend this sitter.

So glad I found Ledya Z! She is reliable and flexible, and spent the time to really get to know my little dog. Communication was excellent, I got updates and even FaceTimed to make sure she knew where things were. I will definitely use Ledya's services in the future.

Juliana was fantastic! I am so gald we found her as our first pet sitter for our pet rabbit. She took her time to make sure that all my instructions were followed. She even stayed extra just to spend more time with my bun and took out my trash even when i didn't ask her to! I am so relieved i came back from my trip to a happy and safe pet. I highly recommend anyone to book with her, she is soooo sweet! :)

Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in The Crossings. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
