“Ruth is super responsive and very friendly with your babies! I had a last minute drop in I only had two hours to find someone and she was very fast at responding and helped me out in a pinch. Our original schedule was for 6 visits and she squeezed in the 7th for us last minute! Life saver!”

About: We have 5 animals in the house, we’ve had them since they were puppies and all get along and friendly towards other people and animals. I work from home and take the pups out 5 times a day. Can take them out more if a pup has a weaker bladder. I usually take mine out at the same time but have enough time in the day to take your pup out individually. Everyone really lounges at home while I work or go out but my boy loves to play so we have best of both worlds and doggie beds all over the house if they’re tired or can play in the back yard.

About: Hi, I’m Stephanie! I’ve been providing pet care since November of last 2025 and truly enjoy building trust with both pets and their owners. Skills & Experience: Large Dog Handling: Comfortable walking dogs up to 80 lbs with a calm and controlled approach. For safety, I do ask that larger dogs are fully trained and well-behaved on leash. Time Management & Organization: Experienced in caring for multiple dogs at once while making sure each one gets the attention, exercise, and care they need. Routine-Based Care: I stick closely to each pet’s routine to help them feel safe, relaxed, and comfortable. Reliability & Attention to Detail: I’m dependable and attentive, always paying close attention to a pet’s behavior and needs. Exercise & Engagement: I provide structured 30-minute walks and make sure each visit includes both care and positive interaction. I treat every pet with patience, kindness, and respect; making sure they feel happy and cared for while you’re away, and giving you peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. I’m currently an online student so i have a very flexible schedule! Im available in the mornings, earliest 10am, and the latest at 8pm. I take both pet safety and respect for your home very seriously. I always follow any instructions closely, including feeding routines, medications (if needed), and household preferences. I make sure doors, gates, and entry points are secure at all times, and I’m careful during walks and visits to keep pets safe and under control. In your home, I aim to be as respectful and tidy as possible; cleaning up after pets, keeping their areas neat, and leaving everything just as I found it. I also understand the importance of trust, so I’m reliable, communicative, and happy to provide updates so you feel confident while you’re away. My goal is to create a safe, calm environment for your pets while also giving you peace of mind knowing your home and pets are being well cared for.

“Kathryn is a very reliable sitter who I can count on! My cat loves seeing her and was very well cared for during my time away. She and I hope to have Kathryn as a sitter again soon!”

About: I've been caring for animals for most of my life and have experience with pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. In addition to dogs and cats, I've cared for puppies, kittens, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, fish, turtles, lizards, monkeys, and other exotic and domestic animals. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to feed, walk, play with, administer basic care, and provide companionship for their pets while they're away. I understand that every animal has unique needs, routines, and personalities, and I take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, enrichment activities, cuddles, or simply sticking to their normal routine, I'll provide attentive and reliable care. I'll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you're away. I work nearby Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM and am home most weekends. Depending on your pet's needs and temperament, I may be able to bring well-socialized dogs with me to work, allowing for additional companionship, supervision, potty breaks, and walks throughout the day. I can also return home during lunch breaks when needed for feedings, medication administration, exercise, or extra attention. My goal is to maintain your pet's normal routine and provide a safe, comfortable, and enriching experience while you're away. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. My home is clean, air-conditioned, and located in a quiet townhouse community with limited traffic, a single entrance and exit, and only a few residential buildings. We have a fenced patio, a dedicated pet walking area nearby, and a large sliding glass door that provides natural light and outdoor views while allowing pets to remain comfortably indoors. Unless otherwise requested by the owner, pets will be kept safely indoors at all times. Outdoor walks, potty breaks, playtime, and patio access will always be provided according to your preferences and your pet's individual needs. I understand that every pet has different routines, rules, and comfort levels, and I am committed to following your care instructions exactly as requested. For added security, my home has keypad entry access, and pets are never given unsupervised access to bedrooms, helping maintain a safe and controlled environment. Fresh filtered water is always available if preferred. I share my home with my 11-year-old son, who has been raised around animals and understands the importance of treating every pet with patience, kindness, and respect. We both genuinely love animals and work together to provide a calm, caring, and welcoming environment where pets feel like part of the family.
About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and truly love spending time with them. I currently have a playful 1-year-old Schnauzer at home. Over the years, friends and family have trusted me to care for their pets, and it’s something I genuinely enjoy. I have experience with special diets and can follow basic medical instructions with care. I always take the time to connect with each dog based on their unique personality. Looking forward to meeting your furry friend! I’m currently not working a traditional job, so I have all the time in the world to care for and play with your pet! I’m available 7 days a week and would love to spend quality time with your furry friend. I also have a fenced yard and my sweet Schnauzer can keep your pup company—if you’re comfortable with that. Your pet’s safety is my top priority

“Adela was great with all my animals! I had her do drop in visits during my vacation. She was very communicative. It was nice knowing my pets were being taken care of and loved while I was away.”

“Absolutely fantastic- cannot rave about her enough. Completely trustworthy and went the extra mile to take care of our fur babies and also give us peace of mind! Best experience we have had with Rover and a sitter. Highly recommend!!!”

“She took amazing care of my dogs (both seniors/one blind). Kept me up to date and sent lots of pics so I wouldn’t worry. Very loving, even my shy dog was great with her. Highly recommend!!!”
About: As a kid, I wanted to know everything there is to know about Dogs. I’ve learned all the dog breeds and how to train them. Once I got my first dog(American bull dog ) at the of Age 17 I properly trained him. My family and friends were impressed on how well trained he was that they gave me opportunities to train their pets throughout the years. I’ve gain a lot of knowledge on what works and what doesn’t. It all depends on how the dogs gets motivated. I’ve also had experience in housesitting and taking care of the household pets. I’m currently a part timer at Publix . I’m usually free throughout the week, and I work a mid shift on the weekends. I’ll be available in the evening or at night for weekends but on the week days I’m available in the mornings as well. If you have a gated fence, I like to go outside with your pet and watch them go to bathroom and give them some exercise with a toy or just simply running around them. If you would like me to walk your dog around the neighborhood I would make sure they are safe and secure and I’ll protect them as if they were my own.

Alexis is amazing. It was my first time using her and even with the meet and greet visit, she was so timely and kept me updated. This was my first time ever using her or rover—and I feel relief that I found someone so responsible and who truly loves animals—and is a cat lover. Will definitely use her again.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Richmond Heights. On Rover:
- 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
