I can lovingly care for your pet while you are unable to. I'm currently an online Master's student pursuing a degree in public health. If they had an accident, I can clean it up with the appropriate sanitizing products. If something seems off, I will alert you right away and ask for direction.
“Miranda was wonderful! Today was the first time she walked our three dogs. She was so professional, responsive and sweet. Her summary was so detailed about her walk and feeding session. She even sent us a bunch of pictures on Rover app of our dogs during their walk. Highly recommend her services and will schedule her again for next time we need her help!”

About: I have owned dogs my whole life. My dog now gets walked 1-2 miles almost everyday. I have watched my neighbors’ and family members’ dogs multiple times, meaning I have experience with walking up to 4 dogs at a time! About: I love all animals! I have the most knowledge with dogs as I have dealt with senior, aggressive, pregnant dogs and raised litters of puppies. I previously owned a blind dog with cushions disease, that suffered from seizures. I have also been a medical foster for dogs and cats, where I gained experience with pregnant animals, helped them with giving birth, and raising the litter. I am currently in nursing school. Rover makes it easy for me to fit a job into my schedule rather than a traditional job with a set schedule. As someone who loves her pets, I know it can be hard to trust someone you don’t know. I treat all pets in my care as if they were my own.
“Ruth has been dedicated, responsible and kind in caring for our 2 dogs for a week of dog walking. She has been a blessing to us when we needed her most. Highly recommended.”

“My pup had such a good time walking with Carlos! He listened to all of my concerns and preferences and I felt at ease letting him walk her. She came back very tired and happy, which is exactly what I hoped for! I will definitely be rebooking with Carlos”

About: We have 5 animals in the house, we’ve had them since they were puppies and all get along and friendly towards other people and animals. I work from home and take the pups out 5 times a day. Can take them out more if a pup has a weaker bladder. I usually take mine out at the same time but have enough time in the day to take your pup out individually. Everyone really lounges at home while I work or go out but my boy loves to play so we have best of both worlds and doggie beds all over the house if they’re tired or can play in the back yard.

About: Animals have always been a very important part of my life. I have cared for dogs and cats throughout my entire life and have a genuine love for all pets. While growing up in Peru, I rescued numerous abandoned dogs and cats, helping them recover by providing care, food, and lots of affection until they regained their health. These experiences taught me the importance of patience, dedication, and paying close attention to the individual needs of each animal. Since moving to the United States, I have cared for two dogs and one cat, providing them with a life filled with love, comfort, and attention. My most recent dog had a disability and required daily medication, a special diet, and additional care. Through this experience, I learned the importance of maintaining routines, administering medications properly, and being attentive to any special needs a pet may have. I strive to treat every pet as if they were part of my own family. I am responsible, caring, and highly observant of their physical and emotional needs. My priority is to ensure that your pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for at all times. I currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate time and attention to the pets in my care. I am available during weekdays and weekends for walks, drop-in visits, daycare, or boarding, ensuring that they receive plenty of affection, exercise, and companionship throughout their stay. I treat every pet as if they were part of my own family. I always follow the owner’s instructions regarding feeding, medications, and daily routines. I maintain a clean, safe, and calm environment, supervise pets at all times, and make sure they have fresh water, playtime, walks, and plenty of affection so they feel comfortable and happy.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
