About: I worked as a kennel technician at Town and Country Animal Hospital and have a year experience doing this professionally. I have also been a veterinary technician for about 3 years now. I have taken care of my families animals. I have 11 pets of my own so I understand their needs. My schedule is very flexible and open. I would be able to visit your animal as many times as you request per day or what you believe is right! I will safely watch over your pets while they are in my care, even if they are comfortable and fully understand their surroundings. If anything happens, I do have veterinary experience.

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is the level of care, reliability, and attention I give to every pet as if they were my own. I understand that pets thrive on routine, patience, and trust, and I take the time to learn each animal’s personality, needs, and comfort level. I have experience caring for puppies, including basic training reinforcement (potty routines, leash manners, crate familiarity) and managing high-energy play safely. I’m also comfortable caring for senior pets, providing gentle handling, administering medications as directed, monitoring mobility or appetite changes, and maintaining a calm, consistent environment. Additionally, my background in customer service has strengthened my communication skills, so owners receive clear updates, photos, and peace of mind while they’re away. I’m dependable, detail-oriented, and attentive to safety at all times. My goal is not just to “watch” pets, but to make sure they feel secure, happy, and well cared for in their owner’s absence. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine because I already structure my time around responsibility, consistency, and planning. I’m used to building my schedule around feeding times, walks, play, and check-ins, and I prioritize reliability so pets can maintain their normal routines. On a daily basis, I plan dedicated time for walks, exercise, feeding, and companionship, as well as cleaning bowls, litter boxes, or living areas as needed. Weekly, I’m attentive to things like grooming needs, restocking supplies, and monitoring any changes in behavior or health. I’m flexible and able to adjust my routine to meet each pet’s specific needs, whether that’s frequent potty breaks for puppies, medication schedules for senior pets, or extra playtime for high-energy animals. Because caring for others is already a big part of my life, pet care feels like a natural and rewarding extension of my routine rather than an interruption. When caring for pets—whether in my home or a client’s home—I focus on maintaining their normal routine, comfort, and safety. In a client’s home, I follow the pet’s established schedule for feeding, walks, playtime, and rest to minimize stress. I make sure fresh water is always available, keep food and living areas clean, and provide plenty of attention and companionship. I’m careful to follow all instructions regarding medications, training routines, and household rules, and I keep the home secure by locking doors, checking gates, and being mindful of the pet’s environment. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners feel reassured while they’re away. If caring for pets in my home, I create a calm, safe, and pet-friendly environment. I introduce pets slowly, supervise interactions, and ensure they have their own space for rest. I stick closely to the owner’s guidelines for feeding, exercise, and care, and I prioritize cleanliness, supervision, and positive reinforcement. Regardless of location, my goal is to make pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable, while giving owners confidence that their pets are in responsible, attentive hands.
“amazing!! highly recommend. kiara is super reliable, kind, and caring. there isn’t a day that goes by that she doesn’t keep me updated on how my pup is doing. a dog walker is one thing but someone who loves for your dog is another. kiara is all that and more!”
About: Animal lover with 10 years of experience caring for pets beyond my own. Although I no longer have dogs currently, caring for animals has always been something I genuinely enjoy. I’m patient, attentive, and committed to making pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’m currently working part-time from home, which gives me plenty of flexibility and time to care for your pets throughout the day. Because I work remotely, your pet will rarely be left alone and will receive lots of attention, playtime, walks, and care. I’m available for boarding on weekends and weekdays before 12 PM, and I always try to maintain a calm, loving, and comfortable environment for every pet. I live in a pet-friendly apartment community with plenty of grassy areas, walking paths, and open spaces for pets to safely explore, walk, and play. I always prioritize safety, supervision, and making pets feel comfortable and secure. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I make sure they receive attention, patience, affection, and proper care based on their individual needs and routines.

About: I grew up with dogs and have been around animals my whole life. Since 2023, I've volunteered at the Doral Pet Adoption and Protection Center, where I walk dogs, feed and groom animals, clean kennels, and give animals the love they deserve. Working at a shelter means I've dealt with all kinds of animals of different sizes, energy levels, and personalities, so I'm comfortable handling pretty much any situation. I also care for cats regularly and know that they require just as much attention as dogs, just on their own terms. I genuinely love what I do, and rest assured that your pet will be well taken care of. I'm currently doing online school, so I have a pretty flexible schedule and am generally available most days of the week. If something comes up that affects my availability, I'll always give you a heads up in advance so you're never caught off guard. Since I come to your home rather than board pets at mine, your pet stays in their own space where they're most comfortable. I'll follow your routines, keep everything secure, and check in with you regularly.

About: Animals have always been a very important part of my life. I have cared for dogs and cats throughout my entire life and have a genuine love for all pets. While growing up in Peru, I rescued numerous abandoned dogs and cats, helping them recover by providing care, food, and lots of affection until they regained their health. These experiences taught me the importance of patience, dedication, and paying close attention to the individual needs of each animal. Since moving to the United States, I have cared for two dogs and one cat, providing them with a life filled with love, comfort, and attention. My most recent dog had a disability and required daily medication, a special diet, and additional care. Through this experience, I learned the importance of maintaining routines, administering medications properly, and being attentive to any special needs a pet may have. I strive to treat every pet as if they were part of my own family. I am responsible, caring, and highly observant of their physical and emotional needs. My priority is to ensure that your pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for at all times. I currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate time and attention to the pets in my care. I am available during weekdays and weekends for walks, drop-in visits, daycare, or boarding, ensuring that they receive plenty of affection, exercise, and companionship throughout their stay. I treat every pet as if they were part of my own family. I always follow the owner’s instructions regarding feeding, medications, and daily routines. I maintain a clean, safe, and calm environment, supervise pets at all times, and make sure they have fresh water, playtime, walks, and plenty of affection so they feel comfortable and happy.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
