About: Caring for pets isn't new to me. I'm the go-to pet sitter for a few of my best friends whenever they travel, and I've cared for everything from energetic young dogs to senior pups who require extra patience, medications, vitamins, and special care. I know every pet thrives on consistency, so I always ask for detailed instructions about feeding schedules, walks, medications, favorite toys, sleeping habits, and any little quirks that help them feel safe and comfortable while their family is away. After more than 20 years in the corporate world, including over 13 years in Human Resources, I recently decided to take a career break and slow things down a little while I figure out what’s next. It’s given me something I haven’t had much of in my career — flexibility. My schedule is very open, which means I’m able to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets I’m caring for. I’m not rushing in and out between a full-time job or trying to squeeze pet care into an already busy schedule. I can work around their normal routines and be there for the walks, playtime, meals, medications, or simply the company they’re used to having. About: I worked for a dog walking and pet sitting company for a little under a year and have experience in handling dogs of all shapes and sizes. I’ve also done very complicated pet sittings that have had birds, dogs, and cats all within one household. I did multiple feedings a day and delivered medication to the dogs.
