I am trained in animal care and I have been pet sitting (mostly dogs) for more than 10 years. I think dogs are really special beings and beautiful companions. I enjoy being able to give pet parents peace of mind that their loved ones are being looked after with the utmost care and compassion. I have cared for dogs of various sizes, temperaments and ages. My naturally calm and patient disposition works well with most, especially dogs that may need more time and attention, such as shy dogs or older dogs. I am available for drop-in visits, overnights and walks. For walks and drop-in visits, I still have space open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Mondays and Fridays are packed. I prefer to care for pets in their own home because it offers them a sense of security during a difficult emotional time while their humans are away. **PLEASE NOTE** I am only offering overnights to existing clients of 4-6 weeks or more, I feel it is important for me and your animal companions to get to know each other before their family goes away.

Safety is first and I will communicate with you to make sure your dog enjoys their walk and has all their physical or medical needs accounted for. Having two of my own dogs I know how important it is to have peace of mind! My background in addition to pet care and sitting has also involved working with herding dogs on ranches as well as many years of horse, goat, and chicken care! Before any walks I will check with you about any safety concerns such as whether your dog has behavioral issues, escapes out the door or out of their collar, or any joint pain or physical limitations they may have. I will tend to stick to routes they are familiar with as this is usually the safest route.

I'm a remote freelance editor and illustrator so have a flexible schedule and just need a comfortable place with internet connection to be able to work. I typically take dogs on 3 walks a day, and like to take breaks from whatever I'm doing to pet them and tell them how cute they are. A little playtime as well. With cats I try to do a little play break a couple times a day if they show interest.

About: Upon having taken care of pets for quite some time now. I have learned that all animals need love and compassion like us. I have cared for a variety of animals from mice to snakes and cats to goats. All of the time learning what to do and not to do with every animal. I've always had animals in my life ever since I was a little and I loved to care for them. I was a foster parent for cats a few years back but had to stop when we moved. I've own a few dogs and enjoy the company they have to give to us. I would be more than happy to take care of your babies and treat them as my own.

About: I have had cats and dogs my entire life and first started dog sitting as a teenager. About: I love dogs and grew up with cats. My long-distance girlfriend is taking care of our 5 year old cockapoo. I am missing dog energy in my life, and would love to meet and take care of your pet. A note: my apartment complex does not allow pit bull terriers, staffordshire terriers, rottweilers, doberman pinschers, chows, akitas, presa canarios, or alaskan malamutes. I work full tim, but only go in to the office 2-3 days a week for meetings. I am out of the house for around 8 hours on those days. I am free all day/night on weekends to care for and be with your friend. My apartment has a large outdoor area to go on long walks. The apartment is mostly hardwood floor with carpeted areas in the two bedrooms.
