“Byron is a wonderful and caring pet sitter; I highly recommend him. He is responsible, his house is very clean and has a super friendly pet, named Lucy, that spent hours playing with Apollo. Thumbs up!!”

“Keller was absolutely wonderful with my two dogs! This was my first time leaving them with someone outside of family, and she gave me complete peace of mind. She sent thoughtful daily updates, photos, and truly took the time to get to know their unique personalities. It was obvious they felt safe, loved, and comfortable in her care. Keller is kind, patient, communicative, and genuinely has a gift with animals. We will absolutely be booking with her again. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional pet care!”

About: I taken care of animals all my life. Fishes, guinea pigs, hamsters, bunnies, dogs, and cats! I even volunteered at an animal shelter for a summer and it was such a great experience!! I will treat your baby like it’s my own💕 Majority of my day ends around 3:30 due to classes but other times it ends before that in the afternoon. I am free on the weekends unless I am traveling out of town! I live in a first floor apartment in a gated community. All dogs are safe to walk around the complex as every dog is required to be leashed. I also have a lock to my room incase I do any animal sitting, so no randoms can come into my room nor apartment.
“Colette is a wonderful sitter! Our dog Hunter loves her and has a great time during his stays with her. He has a lot of energy and always gets lots of walks and play time with her. It’s always hard to leave him but seeing how excited he was to see her again definitely helped.”

“Justin was a phenomenal sitter for our dog Dexter, he was great with communication before and during the booking, he was reassuring and knowledgeable about pets and pet behaviors! He also sent lots of great photos and updates throughout the stay, we felt relaxed knowing our pup was in such good hands! We will for sure be booking him for pet sitting again!”

“Andrew did a great job with our dog! We are always nervous when someone watches our dog because she is hard of hearing and needs to be watched closely. We don’t usually travel without her. Andrew helped to alleviate our fears, and it was great to see our dog so happy and relaxed when we went to pick her up. Andrew also gave us updates throughout the weekend and was very careful in giving our dog her daily walks and her medication. You can feel confident that Andrew will take good care of your fuzz baby!”

“We want to take the time to express our gratitude to Ms. Marissa S. She took excellent care of our girl Oli while we were away. She treated Oli as if one of the family. We received regular updates and pictures giving us a peace of mind. We will definitely be reaching out to her anytime we need help with our dog. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to others.”

About: I’ve been pet sitting for family for years now and figured it’s time to branch out the business. I live alone, have a large back yard and a nice park nearby my house. I would pet sit at times when I am available to and take on pets in a manner that makes logistical sense for me and my schedule. I check on them and look for any signs of obvious discomfort or distress. Make sure they have time to use the bathroom/clean litter box and water. Most animals will try and communicate to you what they need, so it’s good to follow the routines they have at home and interpret what they need and at what time.
“Grachel was very responsive throughout Bauer’s stay. She even let us extend a day at the last minute which we were very appreciative for. Bauer came back exhausted so we know he had a great time and enjoyed himself.”

About: I am a CPDT I’m trained in understanding dog body language and know what your dogs need I monitor your dogs all day. I train puppies and will accommodate to your training requests. I also teach agility classes and tricks classes. I have a really nice dog of my own that loves to do agility as well. You can talk to me about what tricks and agility you would like your dogs to know, if this is something that you would like. Your dogs will have a nice playmate as well but I also understand if they need to play by themselves. I am also able to administer meds if needed. Your pups are in great hands and will not be bored at all. I work from home and will have time to train and play with your dogs. I will also be able to bath your pups if wanted or needed but only for dogs that like being bathed I have a fenced in yard that is big and has a separate agility area to train in. They will have rest times and ac or heating depending on the weather. They will also have water at all times I also have a really friendly dog that is trained to do Service dog work and he is super friendly to all dogs and he is a big boy but friendly.
“Courtney is an amazing sitter! All of my Bleu’s stay she would send me updates and pictures of him and how much fun he was having. Her dogs Bach and Watson are also the sweetest and great with other dogs! I would 10/10 recommend Courtney to watch your pup! :)”

“He was an amazing sitter for Diamond and truly went above and beyond! He made sure she was comfortable, happy, and well cared for the entire time. He kept me updated with pictures every day, was very communicative, and even made her little treats. He made me feel completely at ease knowing Diamond was in such great hands. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter, and I will definitely be booking with him again if I ever need someone to watch Diamond. I highly recommend him!”

“Angela was great with Gemma on her 1st time away from home. Since she's still a puppy we were worried about her manners but Angela was wonderful. She sent us plenty of photos and kept us updated for the week we were away. It was nice to know our puppy was happy and well cared for so we could relax and enjoy our vacation. I would definitely recommend Angela and will use her service again for future trips where Gemma can't come along. Thanks again Angela!”

“Lisa was great! My dog Ricky is relaxed and looks like he enjoyed his weekend away. Lisa gave plenty of updates and was easy to communicate with. I would recommend her and will use her again.”

Louisa was super accommodating with our kitty and plans. We were moving to town and did not know 100% what time we could drop off Kennedy until day of. She worked with us the whole time. Kennedy also seemed comfortable with Louisa despite all the stressors going on. I am sure Kennedy would love to see her again.

Leaving Otto for two weeks was a big deal for us, but Robert set our minds at ease with frequent photos and updates. Otto was a happy boy when we picked him up, and it was obvious he had a great time with Robert. I would recommend Robert 100% and won't hesitate to book him again.

I can’t thank Cambria enough for taking such amazing care of Sunny. Sunny is a Dachshund with special needs, he’s paraplegic due to a spinal condicion, and requires extra care, like diaper changes. Cambria handled everything with so much attention, patience, and care. She also kept me updated with daily photos and videos, just as we agreed, which gave me so much peace of mind. It’s very clear that she truly loves animals. I’m so grateful to have found someone I can fully trust with my dog and would highly recommend her to anyone! 😊

Justin did a wonderful job boarding my lil lady Luna. He always asked the right questions and kept Luna active. Justin was even able to clip Luna’s nails, which is normally a fight with her. You can tell he has a sincere kindness when it comes to animals. Luna enjoyed her time with Justin. I will definitely book with Justin in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
