About: I've cared for furry friends since I could walk. My family raised me in an environment where caring for animals was a form of education, and one I'm happy to share every day. I own a business that operates in a seasonal fashion. This affords me the opportunity to be available where most aren't. Whether that be for day visits and walks, or night time check ins. My home is great for dogs. My old boy loves company. He's very gentle. I have access to walking trails as well. I am happy to accommodate for kennel trained or non-kennel trained.
“We want to take the time to express our gratitude to Ms. Marissa S. She took excellent care of our girl Oli while we were away. She treated Oli as if one of the family. We received regular updates and pictures giving us a peace of mind. We will definitely be reaching out to her anytime we need help with our dog. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to others.”

About: I have owned or cared for my own dogs my entire life. Having lost my senior 'Stanley' last year I find myself longing for a dog's company and spirit. My own dogs have lived long lives - two for 18 years, one for 17 so I know how to give meds and care for their special needs. Stanley's petsitter recommended I try Rover - so here I am! I can come to your house, or bring your dog here to my 1/2 acre fenced in yard, with a dog door to the house and lots of time to share with your pet. I am retired and in Tallahassee or the vicinity walking or meeting up with friends. I have lots of free time to share with your pet. I have a 1/2 acre fenced in yard and a dog door to the house. I have a pool. I can come to your house if needed, or care for your dog here.
About: I’m a dedicated sitter with a lifelong passion for animals. I’ve worked in multiple animal hospitals, so I’m well-versed in administering medications. But what truly sets me apart is my belief in personalized, loving care. I offer a cozy alternative to boarding facilities—whether your pet loves active play or a peaceful, relaxing stay, I tailor each day to them. I live very close to campus, so it’s easy for me to care for your pets. They’ll never be alone for too long. My class schedule is pretty open right now, which means I have ample time to spend with them. They’re part of my daily routine, and since I take a walk every morning, they’ll join in on that too! Plus, I don’t have another job—just Rover and classes. Dogs will be indoors most of the time, but if I’m caring for multiple pets, they’ll never be together unsupervised. Let me know if your dog isn’t good with other dogs—we can arrange private boarding where your pet is the only one. If they enjoy a buddy, I’m happy to accommodate. I love taking them to dog parks, but if they need solo time, we’ll choose a private park where they can safely run.
“Grachel and her husband, Byron are very nice couple! My dog Bogo is very shy to a stranger, but they have way to let Bogo feel safe and secure, Bogo love them to pet him and play with him especially their dog, Lucy Liu she’s a very friendly dog get along with Bogo instantly the day we went over Rachel’s house meet and greet before the day we drop off our Bogo.”
“Ashley and Alek are great! They took great care of Zeus, and were willing to work with us to add another day to the start of the booking on extremely short notice when our travel plans changed. They are very experienced pet sitters. Zeus hasn’t really had experience with cats before and I wasn’t sure how he’d do, but they are adept at managing multiple animals and making sure everyone has the space they need—I wasn’t worried at all!”

“Lisa was great! My dog Ricky is relaxed and looks like he enjoyed his weekend away. Lisa gave plenty of updates and was easy to communicate with. I would recommend her and will use her again.”

Whether it’s energetic walks or gentle care, I’m here to provide top-notch attention for your furry friend! As a college student, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to fit in plenty of walks and playtime throughout the day. Whether it’s morning, afternoon, or evening, I can work around your pet’s routine to make sure they get the care and exercise they need! I provide attentive and personalized care in your home. In a client’s home, I make sure pets feel comfortable in their familiar environment, sticking to their routine for feeding, walks, and playtime.

About: I’ve been caring for animals for as long as I can remember, and dogs have always been a big part of my life. I currently have a one-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer of my own, so I’m very familiar with providing plenty of exercise, attention, and consistent care to keep active dogs happy and healthy. Whether your dog loves long walks, playing fetch, exploring new scents, or simply having someone nearby, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. My goal is to treat every pet like my own and provide you with peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. I work from home with a flexible schedule, which allows me to provide regular walks, playtime, potty breaks, and companionship throughout the day. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes, ages, and energy levels, and I’m committed to learning each pet’s unique routine and needs. I provide my own dog with a safe, clean, and loving environment. I prioritize daily exercise, enrichment, supervision, and keeping a consistent routine. I’ll provide the same attentive care and attention to every pet I take care of!

About: I’ve been pet sitting for family for years now and figured it’s time to branch out the business. I live alone, have a large back yard and a nice park nearby my house. I would pet sit at times when I am available to and take on pets in a manner that makes logistical sense for me and my schedule. I check on them and look for any signs of obvious discomfort or distress. Make sure they have time to use the bathroom/clean litter box and water. Most animals will try and communicate to you what they need, so it’s good to follow the routines they have at home and interpret what they need and at what time.
“This is the 3rd time we left Sonny with Ainla (overnight) He’s very comfortable with her and she knows his personality and takes care of him soo well. Highly recommend!”
“Jaylen was exceptional. Sebastian usually lets me know pretty quickly if he doesn’t care for someone, but Jaylen definitely gained a fan. He was professional, communicative, and kept me updated with photos throughout the entire process. I highly recommend him!”

“Was our first time away from our dog and I must say I felt at ease leaving him in her care and while I was away. She kept me updated on how he was doing. If you book with Mrs. Angela your fur baby will be well taken care of. I will definitely be booking with her again.”
About: My friends and family have regularly trusted me to care for their pets for the past 4-5 years, and I treat every dog as if they are my own. A couple years ago, I used to volunteer with dogs and cats with cerebellar hypoplasia. I’m very committed to providing safe, loving, and reliable care for your pet! I am currently off from school for the whole summer, so I have open availability most of the time! The only time I am not available is for a couple trips I am going on. Also, I do not have another job at the moment, so I can dedicate my full attention to the pets in my care. I am flexible, dependable, and happy to work with your schedule to make sure your pet gets the care and attention they deserve! Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priorities! I live in a pet-friendly apartment complex with plenty of safe walking areas and green space nearby for regular walks, exercise, and potty breaks. Since I do not have a fenced yard, all outdoor time is supervised on a leash to ensure your pet is always safe. I carefully follow any instructions provided for feeding schedules, crate use, medications, or anything else. I also fully respect their routine as much as possible so they feel comfortable and stress-free! From my experience volunteering with disabled dogs and cats, I am patient, attentive, and mindful of each animal’s individual needs. I can also provide updates and photos regularly so parents feel comfortable while they are away.
“This was our first time to ever leave our dog for more than a day so we were worried how he would adjust. However, it went splendidly with Zai and her family! She eased my worries with photos of Fraser happily hanging with them and Zai gave me regular updates. It is comforting to know we have a second home for him so maybe we will travel more!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Tallahassee
Frankie and Daniel took good care of our two standard poodles while we were in town for our grandson’s graduation from FSU. We were concerned how our youngest poodle would get along with Atlas. They got along beautifully and Atlas gave Diesel lots of play time. Ripley got lots of cuddles and pets. Definitely would recommend if you live or visit Tallahassee.
I can’t thank Cambria enough for taking such amazing care of Sunny. Sunny is a Dachshund with special needs, he’s paraplegic due to a spinal condicion, and requires extra care, like diaper changes. Cambria handled everything with so much attention, patience, and care. She also kept me updated with daily photos and videos, just as we agreed, which gave me so much peace of mind. It’s very clear that she truly loves animals. I’m so grateful to have found someone I can fully trust with my dog and would highly recommend her to anyone! 😊

Justin did a wonderful job boarding my lil lady Luna. He always asked the right questions and kept Luna active. Justin was even able to clip Luna’s nails, which is normally a fight with her. You can tell he has a sincere kindness when it comes to animals. Luna enjoyed her time with Justin. I will definitely book with Justin in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
