“Mimi was the best choice for our fur babies. They immediately fell in love with her and she treated them as her own. I would 100% recommend her for any cat sitting inquiries. She always kept us posted with how they were doing and sent us loads of super cute photos of them. The cats were very happy to be under her care. Thank you so much!!!”

About: I am a vet tech with 10 years of experience in the field. I have owned dogs and cats my whole life. I pet sit for friends and family and am happy to share my services with those in need. I love dogs and cats to my core. I work full time at a specialty vet clinic in town. I have Saturday, Sunday, and Monday off to spend time socializing with your pets. From 7-8:30 am on a typical work day will be spent getting pets ready for the day. Feeding breakfast, morning meditations if needed, play time in the fenced yard. Then from 12-1 will be when they are let out again during my lunch break. From 3-7 someone that lives in the house is home to check on the needs of the pets in the house. After 7 I will be home for dinner time, play time, and getting ready for bed. I have a spare bedroom dedicated for boarding pets. I have a play pen, and dog crates if needed. I have a fenced in yard. All my furniture in my house is pet friendly. I have dogs and cats that live in my home and are friendly with other dogs and cats. Also a meet and greet beforehand is always a good idea.
“Madeleine was the best!! Booked last minute after boarding cancelled on me day before leaving on a trip. She was amazing!! From communication to timelines on check-ins, 10/10!! ❤️”

“Jack has done an amazing job with Lilly! She is usually really shy with new people, but she took to Jack almost instantly. He is very loving with her and cuddles with her, which is one of her favorite things. He is also helpful with things like bringing in packages left at the front door which is incredibly helpful for keeping packages secure and out of the heat. 😊”

About: Hi, I’m Analia! What separates me from other pet sitters is my unique experiences with animals while working and managing in a corporate setting (a pet store). I know very well the standard of care that the pickiest of clients (and animals!) expect, and my hope is to be allowed to extend such high standards and more to any pets in need of a buddy, and facilitate your peace of mind while they’re under my watch! My love for animals is boundless, and I can assure you that your animal will come back to you feeling super loved and appreciated too :) I am a happy and enthusiastic learner and most of all very, very adaptable to your pet’s individual needs and special requirements as well as your own personal day to day requests. Currently part time with a lottttt of free time in the afternoon! I am able to make drop in visits or walks as need be. I've also worked together with my partner (very loving and a stickler for rules- your rules!) to ensure we cover any gaps in timely care. My partner would be part of the meet and greet should we need to ensure your pets are comfortable and socialized if my visits before and after work do not suffice :) It goes without saying, I will heed whatever tips you have for your pets—they’re your babies after all!!— and I will absolutely make sure their safety and well-being is paramount while in my care! Never off a leash when outside, and always with my phone handy in case of emergencies. (Knock on wood!)

About: I am a pre- veterinary student with years of experience. I have worked at shelters, vet clinics, farms, and pet sitting. My goal is to gain as much animal experience as I can before I make my way to vet school. I am currently working part time since I am a full time student. I have free gaps throughout the days so I am filling them in with pet sitting. I can easily crate your pet if needed. I will also give my undivided attention to your pets and keep them active if asked to.

“Melanie is such a caring caretaker for my cat and such a reliable professional. Every day, she sent me updates and pictures. She always goes above and beyond. My furry baby is always happy with her!”

“Savannah did such an amazing job taking care of our sweet Rocco! He is a big boy with some medical issues and she catered to him and made sure he got his meds! Would definitely use her again and recommend others to her!”

“Kelly did great with our 2 dogs. One of them has a lot of energy and the other struggles with anxiety but she handled both of them well. She gave them lots of love while we were away!”

“Lillian did an excellent job caring for my 3 cats while I was on vacation. She sent daily updates and was very timely with her visits. I would definitely use her again.”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life, and let’s just say they’ve all been a whole package! From our permanent ones to foster ones, old and young, breeds all over the board, they all shared the love you can only find in a dogs heart. From training puppies to teaching old dogs new tricks, spending time with such gentle souls brings a happiness I can no longer live without. They go the whole mile for us, so it’s only right we do the same for them! I’m currently in school and working part time, but still finding so much time in my days and what better way to fill it than with making new pet friends! I’ve got a short schedule with lots of extra and flexible time on my hands. Although I get a head start in making your pets comfortable within their own home, I always approach gently and only strict when needed. I’ve handled many differently tempered dogs and have gotten good at keeping a situation under control and keeping everyone involved safe is extremely important to me.
“I need a dog sitter last minute and Katherine was responsive and able to take care of my dog. I received lots of updates and Katherine remained in communications about when she visited and how her visits went. I would highly recommend Katherine as a pet sitter. She was just great.”

About: I had a Jack Russel Terrier as a kid up until I was 15 years old. I haven’t had a dog since and I have never had cats but rest assured I know how to care for both! My dog died in 2018 and shortly after in 2019 I ended up getting 2 hamsters, and shortly after my animal list grew! I have 3 degus, 2 hamsters, 1 crested gecko, 1 halmahera giant gecko, 2 gerbils and 4 snails! They are all enclosed so the animals I board won’t be able to get to them! My love for animals runs deeper then most and I can assure that your pets will be in safe hands! I can walk your dogs for up to 2 hours everyday if needed! I am a high school student at the moment and graduating in 2021 so I do have school during the day but I am online and not in person so I have the time to care for your dog or cat! I live with my mom and she works from home so that’s another person in the house to help me out if I need it! I work for the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services! I work 9 hour days but will be able to come back home during lunch for most house sittings, if not I will communicate that in advance. I will do whatever you need for your pets and customize my routine at your home to your liking! I live in a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom home which has a large unfenced yard. Plenty of walking and play space and I’m able to go on daily runs/walks. There is a dog park nearby which I can go to sometimes but not daily. For house sitting I will do whatever you would like me to do for your fur babies! All I want is for them to be happy and healthy!
“samantha was amazing! she was such a big help and gave the best post drop in summaries to me, putting me at ease. the photos were adorable and she was a great communicator! definitely gonna book with her again. my cats loved her!”

“Myla is awesome at helping me with training for my new puppy! Sent videos of training sessions to help me evaluate his progress when I wasn’t home. It’s clear she understands puppy psychology and has great instincts for working with my 11 week old! Definitely a great investment for repeat visits!”

“Taylor was excellent with Maggie. She also handled a key issue (totally my fault) calmly when I was definitely not calm since we were literally taking off on a 5.5 hour flight. 100% would recommend and will have Taylor take care of Maggie again!”

“Lauren is a gem, an exceptionally professional and reliable sitter. She consistently arrives 5–10 minutes early to ensure she begins right on time—something rare and truly appreciated. Her time management, communication, and care for our dog, Dodger, have been outstanding. She’s proactive (even found backup supplies when we ran out) and went out of her way to return after a gated entry issue—all without being asked. We trust her completely and highly recommend her.”

About: I’ve grown up surrounded by animals, having two family dogs of my own, and have watched many family’s dogs. From little dogs to 100lb plus dogs, I’m experienced with everything. I’ve volunteered with animal shelters over the past five years where I’ve gotten lots of experience with walking/handling bigger, stronger digs like Pits and Labs. I’ve also helped care for newborns, given medicine, and washed many dogs. I always take lots of pictures to send back home so pet parents can get their daily dose of their furry babies! My weekends are completely free starting Friday, so I can reliably care for your pet the entire long weekend without having to rush. I am your best bet to watch your fur babies for a long weekend getaway! However, I am in my last year at FSU, which means that my schedule during the week is slightly full, and I am on campus a lot. Monday: 1-6; Tuesday: 9-4; Wednesday 9-2; Thursday: 12-6 I would love to have a conversation to see how we can make a schedule work! When I care for pets in my client’s home, I am always respectful of the space and never create a mess. I make sure to spend quality time with the pet in addition to caring for them. When I dog sit, besides walking and feeding, I make sure to spend time playing and socializing with them. I can crate dogs if requested, and I always double check to make sure the house is secure before I leave.

“Jacqueline took excellent care of our dogs. They were always excited to see her and we loved seeing the pictures she took during each visit. I would absolutely use her again and would recommend her.”

No worries, Joseph helped us out in everything we asked. He was professional, timely and detail oriented [if we asked him, he took care of a task], he has a nice affinity and gentle nature that pairs well with animals. When we returned home from vacation, everything was as if we only left moments ago. That is a truly wonderful feeling.

Samantha was absolutely fantastic. Our first time using rover and Samantha made the process so easy and took our worries away. Our dog can be very shy and Samantha took the time to get to know him and create a bond. I couldn’t recommend her more. We will definitely be booking again :))

- 96% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
