“Brianna is amazing! From the first time I met her, she had very warm vibes and you can tell she truly loves animals. She took care of my 4 cats when gone for over a week, sent me tons of pictures, gave them their meds, cleaned up the litter box, and also played with them! I asked for a lot in her stay and she never batted an eye. Brianna even got my super shy kitty to trust her within days (who hides and does not like strangers). Brianna is very responsible and ensure she understood the ins and outs of my cats and stopped by twice before she started so that we both could feel comfortable. She even brought some packages in that were delivered (she just goes above and beyond). I will be working with Brianna whenever I go on trips from now on!”

“Melanie is great! She took good care of our cat and communicated well with detailed daily updates. I will definitely be booking her again next time we need a cat sitter.”

“We loved having Bailey take care of our Winnie. She was a great communicator, arrived exactly when she said she would, and sent lots of pictures!! We will definitely ask her to help us again!”

“Iomar took excellent care of our cat and guinea pigs! We received lots of adorable photos while we were away, and it was clear they were well taken care of. We would book again!”

“Katherine has been awesome! This has been super easy and she has taken such great care of my babies, has been on time each visit and sends pictures. Highly recommend her!”

“Kelly did a fantastic job taking care of our 2 kitties. She made sure they had what they needed and paid extra attention to our kitty with slight stomach issues. She went above and beyond making sure things at the house were in good care as well. I highly recommend her services!”

“MacKenzie is a great pet friend! Lilly loves her visits. She really helped us when we were in a jam when our previous sitter was no longer available. MacKenzie jumped right in and has been an incredibly reliable sitter who gives Lilly lots of time and cuddles. I highly recommend her!”

About: What sets me apart is that I have years of real-life experience caring for my own family dogs, an English Bulldog and a Toy Poodle. Because of them, I know exactly how to handle the extra love and attention that different dogs need, from cleaning wrinkly faces to keeping small dogs safe. I am not a professional trainer, but I am great at keeping up with your dog's regular routines, like helping puppies with potty training or making sure senior dogs get their medicine on time. Most importantly, I truly love dogs and will treat your pet like a member of my own family. My schedule is highly flexible because I only have a one-hour class each day and am home for the rest of the time. This allows me to give your pet constant attention, keep up with strict potty schedules, and provide plenty of companionship throughout the day. When caring for pets in any home, I prioritize safety and strict adherence to their usual feeding, potty, and medication schedules. Because I am home almost all day, your pet will receive constant companionship, close supervision, and plenty of love in a comfortable, stress-free environment.
“Jacqueline took excellent care of our dogs. They were always excited to see her and we loved seeing the pictures she took during each visit. I would absolutely use her again and would recommend her.”
About: Dogs and cats have always been a part of my life, and there hasn't been a moment that I didn't have at least one. I'm happy to walk, play, clean or just sit and give your pet company while you're away! I'm currently a part-time student, so I have a fairly open schedule. Afternoons and evenings are the most opening, but I can also do early mornings. When I take care of your pet I pay attention to them. Whether it's while walking and making sure they stay safe or keeping an eye on their behavior at home to make sure they're healthy and comfortable.
About: i have two cats of my own and i foster kittens. i’ve had my first cat tiger, for 9 years and rescued my other cat monkey last year. i have experience in feline asthma and kitten care since i took care of monkey from 3 weeks old. i’m very flexible since im a college student who’s here nearly year round and gets out of classes quite early in the day so walking dogs multiple times a day is no problem. i’m in college. i have classes in the late morning till around 2-3 pm every weekday. but i am free all weekend and have a car so i can get around easily. i’ll ensure a neat and tidy space. ensure all pets have been checked up on and their condition reported back to the owner. ensure food, water, etc is in order before i leave and that the pets are shown affection.
“Jillian was wonderful! She came by to meet my cats and learn their routine before our booking. While I was away, I knew they were in wonderful hands. She sent lots of pictures and videos.”
“Fantastic sitter! Shes watched my kitty twice and went above and beyond this second visit. My cat had an accident and she cleaned it all and washed the blanket. Spent extra time with her and gave her plenty of attention. Louisa is very communicative when stopping by, keeps you updated on what's going on. Highly recommend!”

About: There’s more to pet care than just being an animal lover. It requires a degree of commitment, trustworthiness, and responsibility. When I take care of a pet, my priority is in maintaining its routine, its comfort, and overall physical and mental wellbeing (in addition to having fun of course). Your pet deserves to be cared for and treated like family, even when you’re away! In addition to having long term experience with house and pet sitting, I used to volunteer in my free time to walk dogs at the SPCA in my hometown. I have experience administering injectable medications for a diabetic cat, and oral medication for a dog. I’m a student at Florida State University, going into my third year this fall. For the summer semester, my schedule is incredibly open, so I’m looking for fun and helpful jobs to fill my time. I only take one class in the morning (9:45-11:50) and the rest are online. I will have plenty of time before and after class to provide pet care services, so do not hesitate to reach out! I aim to adhere as closely to a pet’s regular schedule as possible. I want your animal to feel comfortable and safe, and when sitting, keep the house as clean and orderly as it was left.
About: I have lived with dogs for 6 years. However, I have been around dogs and provided friends with walks, check-ins, and cuddle/play time for over 10 years. I have walked all sorts of dogs from large to small. I believe in letting them lead pace when it comes to introductions and follow all instructions to the letter. I believe in open communication and love to send pet parents photos of their kids on walks, during play, and lounging around. I have a rather flexible schedule, especially over the weekends and Tuesdays and Thursdays. My goal is to be available for all parents and dogs alike for whatever needs are possible. I like to keep the dogs I have lived with on a routine schedule to avoid stress or separation anxiety. If there is a pet mess I have no problem cleaning up and reaching out in a quick, efficient matter to parents. I measure out food and am good at maintaining a dogs diet and I believe whenever a dog wants belly rubs or play they should be accommodated. I am also experienced with going slow in the acclimation process and do not want to overwhelm of get in their face. I will never put a dog at risk of dangerous encounters.
“Erika was great with my dog! She kept in touch frequently, provided lots of pics, and made me feel at ease leaving my girl for the week! Definitely recommend her for pet care!”

About: I’ve personally kept animals of all sizes and breeds for family members and myself. I currently have a mixed breed dog I rescued and kitten I rescued. I am extremely passionate about animals and I love helping people in any way I can. I am currently working a full time job on weekdays but my weekends are free to walk, stop in, or house sit for your pups or kitties! I am very good at following instructions so I usually take care of pets as closely as the owner would, with specific details on how you take care of them. I am very careful with the animal as well, speaking calmly and interacting sweetly.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Tallahassee
We had a last minute booking for some drop in visits for our cats and Iomar was such a blessing! Always very communicative and no shortage of pictures during her visits. You can tell she has a huge heart for animals and I know my babies were loved and cared for - even my shyest cat came out to play and got treats which isn’t always the case with him! Would definitely book again and recommend without a doubt.

MacKenzie is a great pet friend! Lilly loves her visits. She really helped us when we were in a jam when our previous sitter was no longer available. MacKenzie jumped right in and has been an incredibly reliable sitter who gives Lilly lots of time and cuddles. I highly recommend her!

We had a wonderful experience with Brianna! She took great care of our cats, kept us updated, and gave us peace of mind while we were away. As an added bonus, she also checked our mail regularly, which was incredibly helpful. We came home to happy cats and everything in perfect order. Highly recommend!

Katherine did an excellent job taking care of my dog. She came yesterday, spent quality time with him, and put a lot of effort into making sure he was fed properly. She was patient, caring, and attentive to his needs. I really appreciate the time and dedication she showed, and I felt comfortable knowing my dog was in good hands. I would highly recommend Katherine to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate pet sitter.

Julia was amazing with Kitten. My girl needs an assortment of medication and scheduled feeding, with her background as a vet tech, this was not an issue for Julia. Even better, Kitten, as grumpy as she is when someone comes into her space, allowed for the meds to be administered and decided not to be a total recluse. She ate, and is happy (not with me but generally). 100% honestly I have never felt this comfortable leaving Kitten to be cared for by someone else, so I will definitely rebook with Julia the next time I need a sitter.

Loved her service. She was always on time and played with Hazel (my bunny) when she showed for the drop in visits. Followed instructions well and completed what was asked of her. I really appreciated the pictures and journal cards I received for every visit, especially since it was my first time leaving Hazel alone with a sitter.

Fantastic sitter! Shes watched my kitty twice and went above and beyond this second visit. My cat had an accident and she cleaned it all and washed the blanket. Spent extra time with her and gave her plenty of attention. Louisa is very communicative when stopping by, keeps you updated on what's going on. Highly recommend!

Can't recommend Jordan highly enough. She clearly loves animals, and she did a great job of taking care of The Bandit and keeping us updated. She also came by beforehand to meet him and to make sure she understood our instructions, and was generally very accommodating despite our first booking being on relatively short notice. Will definitely be booking again :)

ryleigh is amazing. she is a cat whisperer both of mine loved her even the shy one! she sent me amazing pictures everyday which i looked forward to opening and was super communicative and punctual about her visits. she made me feel so relieved during my trip being away from my cats would definitely book with her again!

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.
Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Tallahassee stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.
Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Tallahassee. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
