About: We are a pet loving family who recently lost our family dog. We are hoping to help fill the void of losing our dog by loving on yours! We live in East Nashville and have a large, fenced in back yard ready for play time and potty breaks. We do have 2 younger children so we'd just need to confirm your pet is good with kids! I work from home 2-3 days per week and can arrange my schedule to be home with your pet, if needed. We can chat about how many hours and times per your dog needs to have potty breaks. We can offer walks, lots of playtime and cuddles! We have a large, fenced in back yard for the pets to run around as much as they'd like. We allow pets on furniture, if you want, or we can crate them when not home and keep to your schedule and preferences as much as you'd like!

About: I’ve been a dog person for as long as I can remember! I grew up with Airedale Terriers and started caring for other people’s pets early - from neighborhood dog walker in middle school, to go-to pet sitter in college, and eventually an experienced Rover sitter. I’ve cared for dogs of all ages, sizes, personalities, and needs, along with cats, small animals, and even a chameleon. My own three dogs have expanded that experience even further. Maia, my beagle and soul dog, has seizures, chronic elevated liver enzymes, allergies, a time-sensitive medication regimen, and a customized diet. Her care involves multiple veterinary specialists, and she’s been through emergency surgery, specialty dental care, and most recently a liver biopsy. Because of her, medications, special diets, navigating complex care plans, and noticing subtle changes are very familiar territory. Willow, my timid rescue who went from foster to family came to us fearful of nearly everything (ceilings and shadows being the scariest) and she didn’t even know what a bed was. Since then, we’ve been learning brave together, slowly discovering that new people, places, and experiences can be safe. She’s taught me so much about reading body language, encouraging without pushing, and recognizing when a nervous dog simply needs patience and space. I have a huge soft spot for shy and fearful dogs, especially the ones who make you earn their trust. Ghost, our senior pitty, has given me plenty of experience with big personalities, sassy attitudes, and high energy dogs. He recently was diagnosed with cancer and had a tumor removal followed by particularly complicated wound healing, so prolonged recovery, wound care, medications, and activity restrictions (even when they don’t want it) have become familiar territory too. Between the three, I’ve worked with very different dogs with very different starting points, training and routines. I’m happy to maintain established commands, boundaries, and training for consistency, or follow a more relaxed routine if you prefer simply keeping your pet safe, happy, and loved. I’m here to follow what works best for your fur baby! 🤍 Professionally, I spent seven years as a critical care nurse and I’m now an ICU nurse practitioner. Human and veterinary medicine are very different, but detailed instructions, precise schedules, noticing subtle changes, and staying calm when something unexpected happens are second nature to me. Most importantly, I know what it’s like to be on the other side of Rover. Please give me the detailed instructions, medication schedules, fears, quirks, and weird little things only you notice — I genuinely want to know. I’d love to meet your pet exactly where they are and care for them the way I’d want someone to care for mine 🐾 I recently moved to Nashville and have a little over a month before starting my new position, so my availability is currently wide open! I’m naturally a night owl, so early mornings, evenings, and unconventional hours don’t scare me 😂 My goal is to fit into your pet’s world, not expect them to fit into mine. I’d love to learn their normal routine, household rules, training, favorite things, fears, and what makes them feel safest, whether that’s cuddles and constant companionship or simply being given a little space. I’m especially aware of environmental safety, medications, dietary restrictions, doors/gates, and keeping tempting objects away from curious mouths (my beagle has taught me well 😂). For nervous pets, I’m happy to slow things down and let them decide when they’re ready to interact. If you have established commands, boundaries, or training in place, I’ll maintain them for consistency. Your routine stays their routine. ❤️

About: I love caring for animals and discovering their unique personalities. My whole life I’ve always had a cat or dog living with me, whether it be mine or my roommates. Making sure they know they are loved and safe is my top priority. I am an Assistant Director in the film and Television industry, during my downtime between jobs I have an ample amount of time in my days. With dogs I work hard to build a level of trust between me and the pup. Consistency and repetition is key for me. Each dog is different so it takes some effort to get to understand them.

About: Hi, I’m Anusha! I have the great advantage of being able to work from home so I have a very flexible schedule. I have a two year doggo that stays with me every few months (co-parenting) but when she’s at her other home, I miss having a dog so much! Therefore, I’m here to provide all the walks, fetch, belly rubs and love your fur baby could desire. I can take your dog out for bathroom breaks or walks as much as needed. If there’s any specifications on how you would like your dog cared for, please let me know in advance and I will be happy to oblige. I love all dogs and want your experience, as well as your dog’s, to be as pleasant and stress free as possible!

About: I’ve had cats and dogs for most of my life and now have a beautiful pit mix who I wish I could bring everywhere. (But when I visit your pets, mine will stay at home!) I’m happy to treat your crew with the love I wish my dog always received and the responsible care all pets need. I’m a freelancer, so I often have the flexibility to meet your schedule needs and maintain that schedule week after week so your pets are greeted by a consistent visitor and friend. I’m happy to visit your pets, let them out as needed, go for walks, administer meds, feed them, and if needed crate them so they’re cozy and safe before I leave.
