About: I have had animals my entire life and caring for them has always been a huge part of who I am. Over the years, I've cared for pets of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels-from high energy pups who need lots of playtime to older pets who prefer a slower pace and extra TLC. I'm well versed in basic pet first aid and always pay close attention to behavior, appetite, and overall well-being, so you can feel confident your pet is in safe capable hands. I know how important peace of mind is when you're away, and i take that responsibility seriously. At home, I have a very full (and very spoiled) house-one dog, two cats, and a guinea pig- so I'm used to managing different routines personalities and needs. Whether your pet needs long walks, playtime, or just someone to keep them company, I'll treat them like one of my own-with plenty of attention, care and extra belly rubs! This is currently my main focus so i have a completely open schedule to accommodate pet parents that may need me at all hours based on their needs I have access to several dog friendly parks and trails near my home as well as a crew cab truck so even the largest dogs can enjoy a ride. I also keep a dog seatbelt and pet friendly steps in the truck in case anyone needs a little extra hand getting in

About: I grew up with dogs, cats, and other pets my whole life, so caring for animals comes naturally to me. I have two cats of my own. Ultimately, I’m a passionate animal lover and will treat your fur-baby with all the love and respect they deserve :) I’m currently in grad school and doing an externship, so I’ll mainly be available Monday-Thursday after 4pm, Fridays and weekends. However, feel free to reach out because my schedule can vary. I treat every client's home and pet with the same care and respect I would my own. I follow your pet's routine closely with feeding, walks, litter care, and playtime while making sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I'm also mindful of keeping your home tidy and sending updates while you're away. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, and stress-free experience so both pets and their owners feel at ease.

About: I have had so many opportunities to take care of fur babies throughout my life! I lived in a farm for most of it but as an adult I have had my dog all through college up until now. I intentionally keep my schedule flexible so I can give each pet the attention they need. I enjoy spending time outdoors and love making sure every fur baby gets plenty of exercise, playtime, and affection. I understand that every pet has their own routine, and I do my best to keep that routine consistent while you're away. During visits, I'll provide fresh food and water, take your pet on walks or let them out for potty breaks, play with them, give them plenty of love and attention, and clean up after them as needed. I'll also make sure your home is respected and secure by following any instructions you leave. My goal is to help your fur baby feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in the place they know best.

About: I believe pet sitting is more than just stopping by for a visit. Every pet is cared for with patience, attention, and the same love I would give my own. I provide personalized care based on each pet’s routine and personality, send regular photo and text updates so you always know how they’re doing, and make sure they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. My goal is to give you peace of mind and make your pet feel right at home until you return. Pet care is a part of my daily routine, not just my work schedule. I plan my days around my clients’ visits to ensure every pet receives reliable, on-time care. Whether it’s morning walks, midday check-ins, evening feedings, or overnight stays, I maintain a consistent schedule so pets can stick to their normal routine. Caring for animals is my full commitment, and I take pride in being dependable for both pets and their owners. For drop-in visits and dog walks, I focus on keeping each pet’s routine as consistent as possible. During every visit, I make sure they have fresh water, are fed according to your instructions if needed, receive plenty of attention and affection, and have the opportunity to go potty and get some exercise. Dog walks are tailored to your dog’s energy level and comfort, while drop-in visits include playtime, companionship, and any other care you’ve requested. I also provide photo and text updates after each visit so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for.

About: I do work with clients but I also work with the dogs. Every dog has its own lively hood that is important to cater. A dog doesn’t just need food and water, it needs companionship. Despite working a part time job, my availability is open for most days of the week. As long as I know the time frame, your dogs will be given the best care I can give! To help overcome any fear or anxiety about a stranger in your house, I do offer meet and greets to help provide a peace of mind.

Rosemary has been an incredibly dependable and caring dog walker for my senior dog, Lola. She shows up on time, communicates clearly, and handles Lola’s aging needs with such patience and compassion. Her gentle bedside manner gives me real peace of mind, knowing Lola is in thoughtful and capable hands. About: From cats, dogs, chickens and ferrets, I’ve grown up around all animals and know how to care for their specific wants needs and personality types. I am a full time student but taking care of pets has been a normal part of my day. I am currently taking classes online so my schedule is very flexible. Whether it’s feeding or changing water before I head to class and letting a pet outside during a break it has become routine for me. In my home I make sure my animals food and water bowls are always clean. If they’ve made a mess for any reason that will be cleaned up as soon as possible. I also understand certain animals have physical needs or wants so cuddling or walking softly around the house is understandable.

About: When I was in high school I took 3 years of veterinary technician class and got my cva. I’ve worked at a vet clinic taking care boarding and hospital pets for 4 years. I’ve own my own dogs and even fostered some. I’m currently unemployed but I am a single mother so I have plenty time for any scheduling and time for your furry babies. At the moment I’m available for most times. I don’t have a fenced in yard and I have a roommate, who has a cat, and two young children so I won’t be providing any boarding services at my home.

About: Hello, I’m Heather, and I’m thrilled you’re here. I live in the Dover area with my three fur babies—Opie, Rousey (both 10 years old), and our rescue who will be turning 5 this year. Dogs have always been a deep source of joy for me: their loyalty, healing presence, and adventurous spirit inspire everything I do. With over three years of hands-on dog care, I treat every dog as if they were my own. I’m comfortable working with puppies through seniors, and I have experience administering medications and pills as needed. I understand that some dogs are anxious, and I approach them with patience, gentle handling, and plenty of time to feel at ease. What I Offer - Loving, one-on-one attention tailored to each dog’s needs - Daily updates and photos so you can see your pup’s day - Care for all ages, from puppies to senior dogs - Medication administration when required - Thoughtful, calm handling for anxious dogs - Safe, home-away-from-home environment I look forward to hearing from you and welcoming your little one into my care. Thank you for trusting me with your cherished family member. Have a blessed day! I currently work a full-time job with a flexible schedule. I’m available after 2:00 PM and in the early mornings. I’m seeking part-time opportunities for dog and cat walking. As a fellow dog mom, I’m passionate about spoiling your precious pets and ensuring they receive attentive, well-planned walks and exceptional care. I treat every pet as if they were my own. I ensure they’re well-fed, safe, and comfortable, and I love seeing their tails wag and their eyes light up with trust. For peace of mind, I have security cameras around my home to monitor safety and confirm they’re always okay and free from threats.

About: I worked in animal rescue for 4 years and then have been on a different pet care app since 2018 where I have a 4.99 rating on 200+ services. I love your pet as much as my own. For walks, I usually let them lead the way and, since it’s their walk, they can spend the time however they’d like — sniffing or walking! I always follow your instruction and my main goal is keeping your pet safe! I work full time from an office in Round Rock but can run home for potty breaks. My husband works from home several days a week so he will be home all day. We’re home on the weekends, as well! Having a stranger walk into your house can be overwhelming and a little scary for pets. I greet them with a big smile and a happy voice so they can see I’m their friend. Additionally, if a pet is nervous, I turn to the side for a non threatening stance and offer my hand to sniff. I will crouch down on my knees if needed. Once we’re pals, I try to spend as much time with them outside as I can so they can get some play time and fresh air!

Alyssa was so great with my Mom’s mini golden doodle. She helped our family tremendously with morning and evening walks while my Mom recovered from a hospital stay. Our nervous pup quickly became comfortable with Alyssa and even improved her on leash behaviors throughout the week which is a lasting benefit to all of us. We highly recommend her.

  • 90% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
