About: I have taken care of a variety of animals, featuring fish, cats, and a few different breeds of dogs. I love being active so if you need your dog walked I gotchu. If your pet just needs a bit of loving, I got more than enough love to give to your precious babies. In my life I’ve owned fish, a cat, and currently the cutest white German Shepard. I am more than willing to adapt to whatever special needs your pet has, even as far as spoon feeding them. (Hasn’t happened yet but who knows!) I’ve done pet sitting for multiple neighbors and relatives: fish, frogs, cats (both kittens and a senior), and even a few different breeds of dogs (primarily a golden Labrador). I am happy to be at your service and to get to know your precious beans. I am an artist and need some work on the side of that to get by. Since I have such flexibility, I should be able to show up any time as long as I’m not asleep! I cannot accept pets into my own home as I currently own a dog and don’t want mine or your pet(s) to get stressed by strange animals; however, as far as caring for pets in other people’s homes, I am willing to make as many visits as is necessary. I can also take your pet on walks, clean up if there happens to be a mess (ie: hairball), change litter, clean up dog poop, and more! As of now I don’t offer overnight stays.

About: Caring for animals isn’t just something I do—it’s been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve grown up around animals my entire life, from beloved family pets to farm animals and reptiles, so I’m comfortable caring for a wide variety of personalities, sizes, and needs. My experience has taught me that every animal deserves patient, attentive, and individualized care. Whether your pet is energetic and playful, shy and nervous, or has a unique routine, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. I work from home with a flexible schedule, which allows me to provide dependable, attentive care throughout the day. My availability gives me the flexibility to accommodate your pet’s routine, provide timely potty breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of companionship while you’re away. I carefully follow all feeding, medication, exercise, and care instructions, provide plenty of attention and affection, and ensure they have fresh water and a clean environment. I also respect my clients’ homes by keeping everything clean, secure, and exactly as I found it.

Julie has been an exceptional sitter for my dog, Kingston. My schedule can be unpredictable, and trips often come up at inconvenient times, but Julie has always been flexible and accommodating to make everything work seamlessly. She took the time to come over, carefully review all of Kingston’s care instructions, and followed them perfectly without any issues. I had complete confidence knowing Kingston was in great hands, from his daily walks to administering his medication. Julie provides outstanding communication, professionalism, and genuine care for pets. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate dog sitter.

About: Hi, my name is Lauren. I’m am a loving pet caretaker based in Tampa. I’d be honored to help care for your furry family member. Animals have always had a special place in my heart until recently. I had a beloved dog named Blair who is with our family for many wonderful years. We are not quite ready to welcome another dog of our own just yet, we deeply miss the companionship of enjoy the animal brings. I joined Rover to share that love and care with others. Whether your pet needs a cozy place to stay, a reliable drop in visit ,or just some extra cuddles and attention during the day. I’m always here to help my partner and I work from home with flexible schedules, which means your pet will get plenty of time attention, and affection. We’re set up for safe stress, free stays and comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes and temperament. I’m also happy to follow any special routines or preferences your pet may have because I know how important it is that they feel at home even when they’re away from it. Lets connect. I’d love to learn more about you and your pet and how I can help ☺️ Caring for pets is a natural and fulfilling part of my daily life, my partner and I both work flexible schedules and spend a lot of time at home which means your pet will rarely be left alone, and I get to spend on the attention on them throughout the day. We structure our day around morning walks , play sessions and calm, cozy moments just like we would with our own dog. Whether we’re hosting a pet in our home, doing drop in visits, or going for a walk. We plan our routine to ensure your pets needs to come first. Our space is clean, quiet and pet friendly with cozy spots to rest space to play, and no other animals at the moment so you get all our love and attention. I will follow your routines closely as possible, feeding schedules, walks, medication even bedtime rituals if they have them because I know family routines, help a pet feel secure. I’ll never leave pets unsupervised for long and I’ll always provide updates so you can feel confident that they are in good hands.

About: I think all dogs can be good doggies. It doesn’t matter if they pull or bark a lot they can be good dogs with enough treats and training. I work from my phone and computer which allows me to have plenty of time to take care of the animals. Doesn’t matter if it’s a short stop or long stay I can take care of them. When I am at a clients home I only have 2 priorities. My first priority is making sure the dog is well taken care of and behaving appropriately. No messes or jumping on the couch. My second priority is making sure the house looks the same way or better from when I first arrived. If something spilt or got knocked over I make sure to clean up and or put it back. I like to play with the dogs to make them tired and to know what they are doing and make sure they aren’t getting into anything they shouldn’t.

Alyssa was so great with my Mom’s mini golden doodle. She helped our family tremendously with morning and evening walks while my Mom recovered from a hospital stay. Our nervous pup quickly became comfortable with Alyssa and even improved her on leash behaviors throughout the week which is a lasting benefit to all of us. We highly recommend her.

  • 91% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
