“Jennifer has been sitting for my chocolate lab for just over a year now and from the start, has been THE ANSWER for us! She’s so caring, doting, professional, and my pooch just adores her. She’s knowledgeable and dependable, too, which is critical for a household like mine where I’m always on the go and my lab is committed to her schedule/routine. Thanks, Jennifer!”

About: I grew up with dogs at home so it’s a thing and I can train puppies. Hope I can watch your pets and train your little pups too 😁 I’m currently working from home and Just looking for a few extra bucks all while working on my business plans. I’m excited to sit your fur baby 😁 I have a porch your fur babies can go outside on or they just roam around the house. I don’t mind 😊 I also have room if you’d like your fur baby in a crate ☺️

About: I am my neighborhood’s designated pet watcher and I also own three big dogs of my own. I have experience with very energetic dogs as well as dogs with anxiety. My dog Bear has epilepsy so unfortunately, I am used to giving medication and taking care of his special needs. I am a college student at Columbia University working a part-time remote job this summer with the US government. My schedule is super flexible. I wanted to find another job that I would always enjoy. I am currently working a part-time remote job at a consulting firm this summer. I am a rising junior in college with a car and loads of time. I am willing to drive just about anywhere and make sure your beloved pets are safe while you are away. I am very reliable, prompt and professional.
About: Hello! My name is Faith, I’m 25 years old and I love animals more than anything. Being around animals makes me happy and just puts me in a good mood overall. I’ve grown up in a house full of animals, from dogs to cats to birds and much more. I’ve always treated animals the way I would want to be treated and nothing less. My mom has a pet care service and I’ve helped her with her jobs multiple times, as well as pet sitting on my own, so I do have quite a bit of experience. I’m very responsible with animals and I will work my hardest to make sure you are 100% sastified with my services. I hope to meet your furry friends soon! Thank you for taking the time to read! I’m currently unemployed but I’m hoping to be working full time asap. As of right now, my schedule is open throughout the whole week and weekends. We have a fenced in backyard and a sweet, friendly dog that loves being around other animals! We also have 3 cats, a rabbit & a guinea pig! The smaller animals are kept separately from any dogs that are unfamiliar with them. I also have an extra crate if needed!

“Julie was very accommodating on a last minute booking for scheduling walks for the week - even when we had to make further changes mid week. Idina enjoyed the company and was a smooth experience. Thanks!”

About: I have been watching animals for friends and relatives for years, and I’ve had 6 different kids of animals myself. Any pet will be respected and loved under my care. Also, I have a bit of a picture taking obsession, so you may receive lots of photos of your pet having fun! I’m a teacher, so I’m off for the summer. I will be home the entire time if I have a pet under my care. So my availability will be open to you and your pet! I have two cats of my own, who are limited to a bedroom in my apartment when other animals are around. unless your pet wants a playmate! Your pets will have open access to the rest of the apartment, as well as the dog park and walking trails around my neighborhood (leashed of course)

About: Hi! Thank you for considering me to care for your fur family! Dogs really are our family, aren't they? I grew up w/ a house full of animals and now I have 2 dogs and a cat of my own. They are my world, so I understand how important caring for your pets is. I have pet sat for many friends and family who have all suggested I expand by using Rover so here I am. I also have gained experience dog walking at the local Humane Society where I had to take a dog handling course in order to volunteer. I am comfortable with all breeds and sizes and have dealt with special needs in the past. My previous border collie, Tucker, was a senior pup with arthritis and epilepsy so I don't scare easy. I can stay calm in most situations, but also know when to seek help. I currently have a 2 yr old border collie so there is no level of hyper energy that will phase me. I will care for your pet like they are my own and hope to have a lot of repeat Rover pups! Thank you for considering me for your family. I work from home and have a lot of flexibility in my schedule! I like to take my youngest pup to the dog park and would love to take yours with us too! I am very respectful. I will do a meet and greet ahead of time to learn your unique needs and take good notes. I want to make your pets feel as comfortable as possible while you are away.
“Iliana has walked Honey multiple times. She’s wonderful with her. She is overly communicative, trustworthy, sweet to Honey, and always willing to help with whatever. I couldn’t recommend her more!”

About: What sets me apart is the level of care, communication, and attention I give every pet. I understand owners are trusting me with a family member, so 1 make it a priority to keep pets comfortable, safe, and loved while also keeping owners updated with photos and check-ins. I'm dependable, patient, and genuinely enjoy making animals feel at home. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work remotely and have flexibility with my schedule. I’m home throughout the day, which allows me to give pets consistent attention, supervision, potty breaks, playtime, and casual walks instead of long periods alone. I genuinely enjoy having animals around and love creating a calm, comfortable environment where they feel safe, cared for, and part of the household. I provide a safe, loving, and attentive environment for pets in my care. In my home, pets will receive lots of attention, affection, supervised outdoor time, and companionship throughout the day. I also have a very friendly small Chihuahua and a husband who loves animals and helps make pets feel comfortable and cared for. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to stick to their normal routine so they feel comfortable, secure, and stress-free while their owners are away.
About: Ever since I was a baby I have always grown up around animals. About four years ago I started watching my grandparents Rottweiler and stayed several nights and days taking him on walks, feeding him, and interacting with him by playing. About five years ago I got into fostering dogs ranging from puppies to adult, and sometimes having several at the same time. I have experience with puppies due to fostering and owning my own, and I have experience with adult dogs from fostering and owning my own. Besides having experience with just dogs I have experienced and taken care of dogs who have had previous surgeries, dogs who have cancer, and dogs who have to take several medications several times a day. I am currently working a full time job M-F from 9-6 and im off on the weekends. I would be able to help in the mornings and around lunch time everyday, and be able to help after work. Although I can not care for animals in my home due to complex regulations when I had dogs I had a fenced in yard and would go outside and interact with them. When I was at other clients homes if they didnt have a fenced in yard I would walk their dog or put them on a leash in their yard.
“Rebecca is terrific. She is reliable, and you can tell she loves animals. She found a way to take my stubborn dog for a walk! We will definitely call on Rebecca again for walks!”

About: I have taken care of a variety of animals, featuring fish, cats, and a few different breeds of dogs. I love being active so if you need your dog walked I gotchu. If your pet just needs a bit of loving, I got more than enough love to give to your precious babies. In my life I’ve owned fish, a cat, and currently the cutest white German Shepard. I am more than willing to adapt to whatever special needs your pet has, even as far as spoon feeding them. (Hasn’t happened yet but who knows!) I’ve done pet sitting for multiple neighbors and relatives: fish, frogs, cats (both kittens and a senior), and even a few different breeds of dogs (primarily a golden Labrador). I am happy to be at your service and to get to know your precious beans. I am an artist and need some work on the side of that to get by. Since I have such flexibility, I should be able to show up any time as long as I’m not asleep! I cannot accept pets into my own home as I currently own a dog and don’t want mine or your pet(s) to get stressed by strange animals; however, as far as caring for pets in other people’s homes, I am willing to make as many visits as is necessary. I can also take your pet on walks, clean up if there happens to be a mess (ie: hairball), change litter, clean up dog poop, and more! As of now I don’t offer overnight stays.
“I couldn’t be happier with the dog walking service! He was fantastic with my husky and schnauzer, always on time and full of energy. He sent regular updates and photos, which really put my mind at ease. I highly recommend him for anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog walker!”

About: Hi! I’ve taken care of my family and friends dogs for several years! I love cats and dogs and the joy they bring to us humans. I’m currently working from the months of August to May (full-time). I usually have most holidays off. My schedule when I am working is from 5am-4pm. I usually like to go to my clients house and watch animals there. I’m pretty much comfortable as long as there is open communication between us.
About: Hi, I’m Tseday and I’m a substitute teacher based in Tampa with a gentle, patient approach and a genuine love for animals. Working with kids has taught me how to be attentive, calm, and responsive to different personalities, and I bring that same energy when caring for pets. Whether your pet is playful, shy, or needs a little extra reassurance, I take the time to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and understood! I have been taking care of pets of my own and those of friends since I was about 13, so believe me when I say I know many different pets have different personalities. I currently have full availability, so I’m able to be flexible with scheduling and give your pet the time and attention they deserve. I’m happy to follow your routines closely, including feeding, walks, playtime, and any specific care instructions. I do not have any allergies to any animal, so I can also provide extra care for any additional pets you may have, ie: birds, fish, lizards, etc. I also provide regular updates and photos, so you can feel at ease knowing your pet is being cared for with patience and kindness while you’re away. I’m currently working part time as a substitute teacher with open availability, so I have plenty of time to house sit your pets overnight, or even just for a few hours. I have a lot of open time to walk your dogs, especially during the holidays and summer break! Safety and trust is very important to me, especially if I am taking care of someone else’s pet or fur baby. I don’t have a fear of cats or dogs and I’m a very gentle person. I like to follow routines (if your pets have a set schedule for feeding, medication, and/or walking) so you and your pet can both be happy and have peace of mind!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
