She brought in my mail and watered some of my outdoor plants to keep them from getting crispy during the heat and drought.”

About: I have always been a "dog person". I grew up with 2-3 dogs in the house for my entire childhood, and then I had my own as an adult! Although I only have cats at the moment, I am regularly looking after my parents' and my sister's dogs when they are away. I have experience administering pills, drops, ointments, etc. In 2019, I discovered that I also love cats! I've had cats of my own for over 6 years now, and I have fostered many cats from the local humane society. I've also babysat friends' cats while they were away. I have experience with adult cats of any age, including seniors. I adopted a senior cat several years ago and spent months giving her subcutaneous fluid injections for kidney disease. I have experience administering pills, drops, ointments, and subcutaneous injections. As a librarian, let me tell you, I know way more than I need to know about cats and dogs. I understand behavior and signals, and I have a calm nature that they seem to gravitate toward. That being said, I am well aware of when they are more comfortable with distance or need space after overstimulation. I always go with their flow! Also, I'm a rule-follower, so if you lay out some complicated care instructions, you can trust I'll follow 'em to a T. Please, let me love your pet(s). It's good for everyone involved. I work full time Monday through Friday for the public library, so I am available Monday mornings and then after 9pm, Tuesday through Friday after 5pm, and all day Saturday and Sunday. If you're close enough to my work, I'm happy to stop by over my lunch break! My cats have the run of the house and they love human guests but not so much animal ones, otherwise I'd love to have your pet in my own home. I've had multiple Rover sitters in my home while I was out of town, and I understand the anxiety that can come with that. Rest assured I will respect your space like it is mine, follow your instructions like I wrote them, and care for your furry ones like they are my own. Everything will be as you left it!
