“We’ve regularly booked Jerry for pet sitting in our home and in his home and both are great options! He always does thoughtful things like bring in the mail and the trash bins if we’re out of town. At his home our dog gets along well with his dog and he is always taking them on fun walks around town. Jerry is almost always available to pet sit for us and is very responsive. We are moving across the bridge and will miss Jerry very much. I would highly recommend him to pet sit for your cat or dog!!”

“I can’t say good enough things about Shannon! She was just amazing with domino! It can be tough to find someone you trust with your dog and we definitely felt we could trust her. She sent pictures and communicated so well with us!”

“Reanna is wonderful! She has professional training and is very attentive and conscientious. Lots of nice pics, and even gave my baby a free brushing! Very nice lady and she took good care of my baby. She was exhausted from play and fun when I picked her up. I highly recommend her.”

“Maria is amazing!! Our pups got to spend the day going for walks and enjoying the company of other dogs in thr comfort of Maria's home! I think one of our dogs actually got mad that she had to leave 😉”

“Thank you, Rose. Gaia came home absolutely relaxed, I could really tell she enjoyed her day with you. I loved all the pictures of my baby throughout the day. You were so consistent. My dog doesn't take easy to new people or dogs, so to hear that she felt calm and confident enough with you to be part of the pack really is proof of how great you are at what you do. Thank you so much!”

“Thanks to Kayla & family we had a great first time experience on Rover! Super responsive, accommodating, and let me bring Frankie for a visit to meet them the day before. Her kids loved on our dog and she sent pictures of Frankie snuggling😊”

“Kyley and her husband took wonderful care of my puppy! They have a huge, secure yard where the dogs can run and play, and it was clear my puppy had a great time. They are incredibly kind, friendly, and genuinely care about the pets they look after. I felt completely at ease knowing my puppy was in such good hands. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy and loving pet sitters!”

“Kana was very attentive to our dog's needs. She took care of her so well. My dog was excited to come back on the second day because they played with her and provided good activities. We appreciated very much their kindness with us and my energetic puppy.”

“Our dog Midge loved spending the day with Kirsten and her dog Bear! Kirsten was very thorough with her meet and greet and listened to us explain all of Midge's little quirks. Midge was tired and happy after a long walk and romping around the yard with her doggie pals. You can tell Kirsten and her family are total dog people and will take care of your own doggo as if it were their own. We're planning to use Kirsten for more day care and overnight stays in the future!”

“Shannon was fantastic with my nervous rescue senior chihuahua mix. I received regular updates throughout the day, and my dog got more walks and more company/attention than if I had left her at home to work. Shannon also made sure to ask about a potential vet to contact in case of emergencies and was generally very considerate. Truly, a godsend.”
“Cathleen was so friendly and helpful- taking care of our pups with just a few day's notice when we wanted to visit the island. She made Vivi and Bijou feel comfortable and at home- as evidenced by the photos of them relaxing and snoozing without a care. We were so glad to find her and wouldn't hesitate to have our pups stay with her again.”

If you need a professional lion tamer for your zoo I'm your gal! I am a ally/member of the 2SLGBTQ+ community ~ your home and animals are safe with me 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ I have watched families with over 10 pets before. I also have experience with bearded dragons, guinea pigs, chicken, fish, and house hold gardens. Anything else, I'm a fast learner. I am currently house sitting and boarding full time! I'm a stay at home single mom and this is what we do full time. I am also a seamstress and do fleamarkets occasionally on the weekends. When I have those they are pre-planned in advance and I can give you details upon your sitting request. I try to be as non-invasive as possible. I bring my own blankets, towels & silverware. I like to make sure the daily routine of your animal is as close to it usually is. I keep dogs on leashes no matter what when on walks! And usually keep them contained when loading anything in or out to avoid any running away/chasing them around kind of drama. Anything you recommended to me or want me to do I will make sure happens to ensure your pets & home are safe. For boarding I have a very large fenced back yard with a locked gate which is the only access outside. There's also neighborhoods around with side walks for walks. I do have a hotel styled lock at the top of my front door that makes it impossible for the kids to accidentally open it and let any animals out. I also usually for boarding attach an air tag to the animal while they are at my house for extra precaution. No such thing as too safe!
“Kaylee and her family are awesome and we are very lucky to have her in our area! Andy loves coming to their place and see all his friends and he sees them as his other family. 5 stars is not enough to rate Kaylee.”

“Jacklyn was great! Sent lots of (very cute!) pictures, walked McCoy, and made sure he got along with her own dog. McCoy was always happy to see her (and her dog) when we dropped him off. Jacklyn was also very responsive to us (e.g. when we had to modify our arrival/pick up time) which made our lives very easy.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Swede Hill
Luisa and her husband (Jason) have a great attitude about dogs and are easy to work with. Our little guy Benny (1 year) is very energetic and he seemed to really enjoy himself. Even fell asleep in the car going home. I would recommend Luisa and will use her again if available.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Swede Hill commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
