About: I have always loved animals. I was the kid that would bring stray animals home asking my parents if I could keep them. I have always had dogs in my family homes. I graduated from Iowa State University with an Animal Science degree in May of 2016. I have dog sat for other families in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area. I honestly love dog sitting and I have even taken care of some turtles and tortoises. I don’t really think of pet sitting as a job, but rather an opportunity to provide a safe and loving environment for your family pets while you are on vacation or if you have other obligations. I know how difficult it is to find someone who cares for your animals as you do, and I would truly love to be that person.

Showed up on time and gave good updates with pictures of how the night was going with the dogs. We have a Brittany that has horrible separation anxiety. Sophie is the Best! She was able to come on short notice to dog-sit while we were out for a long evening. She was very responsive to our texts with directions and timing. Our spirited 15 month old doodle immediately connected with her. Although we didn't expect her to, Sophie took him out for a walk to work off some of his energy. Afterward, she sent us a photo of him relaxed and content. Five stars for Sophie!
We just got back from a trip and Brenda was our house and animal sitter. She always takes such great care of our pets (1 dog and 2 cats) and our home. I cannot say enough good things about her. We have already reserved her for our next trip. Thanks so much, Brenda!
Ray did a great job with both our dogs, but especially with our older thunder-phobic dog during a week in which many storms were predicted and a few happened. Her willingness to communicate, and her good questions made her a great choice for our dogs. And our dogs were clearly happy, comfortable and well-cared for in our absence. We would definitely book her again.
We've never had anyone watch our cats except for family. I was extremely nervous, but after reading Abigail's profile, and watching her interact with our cats at the initial meeting, I knew I had found the right person! Abigail took lots of notes and asked tons of questions to make sure she had all the information to not only cat sit, but stay in our house for 12 days. Both cats immediately took to her like they were long lost besties. We were out of the country, but I received multiple photo's and video's every day so we never felt like we were so far away. The people we were traveling with were impressed with the number of pictures, updates and video's we received. Somehow she even got the picky eater cats to eat more than they do during a normal day. If I ever need someone to care for our pets in the future, Abigail will be the first person I look for!
We were delighted with all of our experiences with Manu and how she cared for our dog, Bella for four days. Manu doesn’t just love dogs! She is knowledgeable about dog health, behavior and training as well as being very perceptive about a dog’s needs. Even before Manu started, she made sure that she had all the information she needed. Then when she had a question she spoke with our contact person. Then while we were away, she sent us s wonderful stream of photos of her playing with, walking and exploring with Bella. Bella was clearly very happy about being with Manu when we picked Bella up. We all feel confident that we left Bella in good hands and hope to work with her again. We have entrusted Alaina with the care of our two high-energy Labrador puppies on numerous occasions, and she consistently provides excellent service. During her most recent visit, she spent quality time engaging them in outdoor play in the yard, their favorite activity, and ensured they received the special treats we had provided.
