“We had a wonderful experience working with Jessica! Jessica took care of our two kittens for about a week while we were on vacation. She was SUPER responsive, quick to reply, and gave us regular updates. It was such a relief knowing our cats were well taken care of while we were away! Our cats were happy and well cared for when we returned. We absolutely would recommend her, and will definitely be booking again in the future!”

“Elizabeth was amazing! She met with us earlier in the week to get to know us and meet the cats, which helped a lot to show her where everything was. During the booking time she came over and gave us updates with pictures. We loved her and her updates. I would book her again.”

“Julie was a life saver with my new pup, and we both considered her part of the family. She goes way above and beyond, and I wouldn’t think of using anyone else for my next pup.”

“Very friendly, readily available, and great communicators. I felt like my pet was happy and safe in their care and comfortable with them in our home. They even brought in a package for us from our doorstep. Great pet-sitters and we will definitely book with them again in the future!”
“Kam did the job as requested keeping my kitties sane and fed in their family's absence. It was a great help because our regular sitter was unexpectedly unavailable and I had only a matter of hours to secure a new sitter. They were responsive and made themselves available to us on very short notice. I greatly appreciated that-- then I could go on our family vacation with our worries.”

“Our furry friends love Scott! His patience and gentle approach helps even our feisty orange guy warm up to the unfamiliar house guest. We have been genuinely delighted and surprised by how well our buddies have embraced their new friend. Thank you, Scott, for keeping our four-legged friends entertained and cared for while we’re away.”

“Travis is going to be my go to guy whenever I need a pup sitter! He was terrific; I got updates and pictures and funny stories about what my dogs were up to during his visits, and my dogs were always so happy in the pictures. Travis was very prompt and conscientious, two qualities I admire very much. If you are on the fence about having a person come into your home and take care of your pups, jump off that fence and hire Travis!!! 😀”

“Melanie was so fantastic to our two cats! We have one shy girl and she actually came out and played with Melanie! We were expecting for her to never see our Lulu. She gave such great updates and sent so many pictures that really eased my anxiety about leaving them. Will definitely request her again!”

About: I have had dogs my whole life. I currently own a 7 year old shepherd lab mix and a rescue Yorkie mix (age unknown but at least 5 years old). I grew up with dogs and have experience with many breeds and many mixed breeds. I have experience with oral medications and special needs as well. I live on a small hobby farm and own a horse, 2 mischevious goats, a couple kitties and some chickens along with my 2 rescue dogs. I grew up on a farm and have taken care of many farm animals as well as house pets. I am currently working from home and would love an opportunity to meet and help others with their pets while they are away from home.
“Emma was punctual and reliable, and followed all my instructions. This was our first time being apart for an extended period, so I needed someone who I could trust. My doggo seemed well taken care of. Jiro is quite a handful, but Emma handled him well and I know he will be excited to see Emma again.”

“Second time having Justice watch my dog, Dave and she was great again! Dave is a little high maintenance with being older and having a construction zone/mud pit for a back yard. I appreciated the extra care she gave to make him feel comfortable while I was away!”

“Natalia did a fantastic job and kept us updated with photos and great communication the pets loved her and clearly she has a way with animals because they were drawn to her right away we won't hesitate to book Natalia again if we go out of town or need her for any daytime visits whatsoever she's the best”

About: I have been taking care of animals (mostly dogs) for many years. I have taken a 4 year vet program and was a certified veterinary assistant! I know basic first aid for cats and dogs. I pride myself on being a loving, reliable, and safe person for your fur babies! I am currently working a part time job but before and after my job I can happily walk and play with your animals. Wednesday’s and Saturdays I do not work so I can walk more, play more, or stay for longer periods of time/check up more frequently. I am happy to help your pets by feeding, walking, and playing with them. I can also kennel them if needed/asked. I do not feel comfortable with reactive/aggressive animals.

Faith was great! She pilled and gave other medication to our cat 4 days in a row and did a great job with her. By the end we could tell from our daily pictures that our cat was at ease with Faith. She was prompt and kept the litter box and food attended to as well.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Summit Station. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
