“Champ had the greatest day with Eunice and her family! He ran around the yard, played with her dog and got so many cuddles! I can always tell what kind of day he’s had when I pick him up and he was happy as can be! Plus lots of amazing pics throughout the day. Highly recommend Eunice!”
“Vanessa was super helpful. Cooper is a very energetic puppy. He always gets excited when meeting new people or being in a new environment, and apparently he was excited and didn't nap the entire morning, but Vanessa was very patient in taking care of him and kept me informed throughout the day by sending me the updates and photos. Cooper looked happy when he was with Vanessa and when I picked him up. I'll definitely go back to Vanessa for help in the future.”

“Jessica is a fantastic Pet Sitter. I feel so grateful to have someone like her watching after my pup. She is responsible, reliable, keeps you informed throughout the whole process including sending photos and details of your pup while you are gone. My pup Basel absolutely adores her and so do we! Thank you Jessica for taking the best care of our pup while we're away! Would highly recommend Jessica!”

“Jessica was amazing with our fur baby! She sent us photos and constant updates. Our little Leia came home happy and tired after a day full of play. Thank you Jessica for taking such good care of her. We will definitely use your services again.”

“Ekaterina and her family did such an amazing job with my very shy, reserved labradoodle. He spent the entire day at their home and upon pickup, he was calm, content and happy. I highly recommend Ekaterina and we look forward to using her again!”

“I admit being nervous about leaving our recently rescued dog with Paula but she was great with her and made her Mitzi comfortable to the point she didn't want to leave when it was time to go home! I would highly recommend Paula to anyone!”

About: Every pet needs a Kitty & Doggie Grandma! I've been taking care of cats and dogs all my life, for 65 wonderful years! From Buttercup and Molly when I was a little girl, to Daisy today! I love cuddling, petting, brushing, feeding, watering, and changing kitty litter. I provide loving and caring pet visits, with attention to detail including bringing in mail and boxes delivered.I will also gladly take care of your dog in my home — 2-3 days at a time! Daisy loves other dogs, she’s thrilled when doggie friends visit. Just like Daisy, your pooch will be walked 4-5 times per day. “Any glimpse into the life of an animal quickens our own and makes it so much the larger and better in every way.” John Muir, Scottish-American Naturalist. I don’t work outside of the home. Your pooch will hang out with me and Daisy all day. I occasionally go out for no more than 2 hours at a time. I have one friendly cockapoo to keep your doggie happy and busy playing all day. We have tons of toys! If it’s okay with you, your dog will sleep in my bedroom along with Daisy.
“Connor was great! Very communicative throughout the stay and made us feel completely at ease. He has a lovely home with a safe backyard, and his dog is wonderful and playful — Nacho had the best time running around and playing all day! We definitely recommend Connor and look forward to booking with him again.”

“Ashley did a wonderful job caring for our four month old puppy. She was warm, kind, and clearly loves animals. Our puppy came home very happy after spending the day with Ashley- we will definitely be booking her again!”

“Armani had a great time during his sit as he came back energetic and super playful! They also provided constant updates which I absolutely loved. They definitely took care of my puppy, so I highly recommend!”

“Sulay was a pleasure to deal with, and Shadow came home happy and relaxed. He was comfortable with her immediately - and got along great with her sweet dog. We appreciate her caring attentiveness. I would definitely recommend her highly, and will be sure to be a repeat customer!”

“Andria is a wonderful pet sitter! We felt very comfortable leaving our dog with her and truly appreciated all the updates she shared during his stay. Her fenced backyard is perfect for dogs to safely explore and enjoy their time. We will absolutely be using her services again—highly recommend!”

“This was Oreo’s second day here and it was just as amazing as the first. He is almost 12, very particular about people, and not the easiest dog to win over — so the fact that he was excited to go back says everything. As chaotic as our day was, it was such a huge relief knowing he was happy, comfortable, and in such good hands. Jackie’s flexibility, kindness, and obvious love for dogs really stood out. It is not easy to find someone you fully trust with your dog, especially one with a picky personality, but this truly feels like a safe, loving, and comfortable home for him. We are so grateful to have found Jackie and will absolutely continue to book again (already have) 😉”

“This was one of the best Rover experiences we have had! Jaclynn is just wonderful! We were visiting from Florida for a few days, and asked her to watch our little Sushi while we spent time with family. Not only is Jaclynn super nice, friendly and full of positive energy, she runs her business like a pro, which we really appreciated. I think most dog sitters love the dogs - but Jaclynn is clearly very knowledgeable and really knows how to care for her guests, and keep them happy and engaged. We especially appreciated the photos and her “report card” that filled us in on Sushi’s time with her. We visit NJ frequently and Sushi will definitely be back! Thanks so much, Jacki!!!”

“First time with Rover. I was quite nervous. Then we had a greet and meet. She is very nice. The dog seems fine after daycare time, didn't eat too much probably because of being nervous. Good reporting card. May rebook with Vafa again. Thanks”

Millie did a great job taking care of our puppy, Penny. Both daycare visits, Penny came home happy and tired. Millie was able to accommodate a short notice request, which I always appreciate. She communicated throughout the day so we knew how Penny was doing and she was on time for pick up and drop off. We will definitely request her again in the future and highly recommend!!

Geo was wonderful to work with. She is caring, reliable, and very flexible with pickup and drop-off arrangements, which was a huge help when I had a family function to attend. Her positive energy and confidence gave me peace of mind. I highly recommend her and would gladly hire her again.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
