“Isabella was great with my 2 pups. She was constantly updating me with photos and videos throughout the day. She was very accommodating. I feel comfortable leaving my pups there with her.”

“A wonderful experience! Communication was excellent (including photos and videos). Doug has created a calm, well thought out space that can accommodate multiple dogs - including ways to give dogs their own space if needed. Thank you!”

“First booking was a success, first time leaving my precious dog with someone other than close relatives and I really liked how communicative she was ! Definitely will plan on rebooking !”

“We had a wonderful experience with Anna! Duke had an amazing time at her place and absolutely loved spending the day with their dog Theo. Anna is incredibly caring and attentive to the dogs in her care. She was very mindful of Duke’s needs and made sure he was comfortable throughout the day. We especially appreciated the frequent updates, pictures, and videos — it was so reassuring to see how happy and relaxed Duke was. We would absolutely trust Anna with Duke again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful and loving sitter.”

About: Hi! I’m Marina, a dancewear designer and a proud mom to a lovable 6-year-old dog. My love for animals brings me so much happiness, and I truly enjoy their company! I am mainly working in dance industry but do have part time to spend with dogs since I have my own and i have a lot of friends that have pets I just love to cuddle with them, walk them and play. I will prioritize the unique needs of each animal, recognising that every pet is special and deserves tailored care. I strive to create a comforting and personalized experience, ensuring that every pet feels valued and well- cared for.
“A day for Pip with Amanda and Max is always a great day. They keep an impeccably clean and dog friendly house. And the gorgeous upscale neighborhood has quiet safe streets, so I know Pip is safe on his walks.”

“Vanessa was super helpful. Cooper is a very energetic puppy. He always gets excited when meeting new people or being in a new environment, and apparently he was excited and didn't nap the entire morning, but Vanessa was very patient in taking care of him and kept me informed throughout the day by sending me the updates and photos. Cooper looked happy when he was with Vanessa and when I picked him up. I'll definitely go back to Vanessa for help in the future.”

About: I have taken care of all sorts of dogs ever since I could remember. I have a lot of experience and love for animals of all kinds. My family and friends have relied on me to walk, bathe, feed, and care for their pets for many years! I am currently attending Berklee College of Music so i’m available at anytime on the weekend and most times during the week, if you contact me we can definitely work something out! I live in a pretty spacious apartment where your dog can have more than enough space to walk around, and although I grew up with 3 dogs in my home town, I do not have any dogs here in Boston so there is no worry about whether or not your dog with get along with other dogs. This way I will be able to give my full, undivided attention to your dog while I’m on the job. I am a student at Berklee College of Music and have some classes during the week but I am pretty flexible as they are only a couple of hours out of the day. I am completely free on weekends. I love animals and they deserve the best. I give my pets lots of love, and pets, and cuddles; and I treat every pet that I care for, and my own.
“Andrew is top rated for a reason! Totally worth the cost. He’s got a great space perfect for a dog to free roam and family all committed to the care of your little one. Professional, accommodating, attentive, and great with updates / communication. New to the area and was nervous leaving my little one with a new care giver for an extended period for work travel. Andrew gave me tons of peace of mind. Definitely recommend!”

“Digdem is amazing!! After another Rover sitter cancelled on us at the last minute, she agreed to take our 9 year old, anxious, Weimaraner last minute on Thanksgiving Day! She was so accommodating and sent frequent updates throughout the day. We are so grateful to have found her and can’t wait to use her again. Very highly recommend!!”

“Briaan took good care of our little girl. The meet and greet was smooth. Our dog was comfortable with Briaan. She kept us informed during the sitting. She responded fast to the message. Will come back.”

“Te is amazing!! Our dog runs inside as soon as we drop him off and we have to carry him into the car in order for him to leave. Te is very communicative throughout the day and sends multiple updates. I know our dog is in great hands and would highly recommend. I swear it’s our dog’s favorite place on earth.”

“I could not have been happier with this booking. Shirley was amazing! She took great pictures and excellent care of my 9 week old puppy. I was fully prepared to get a text saying she couldn’t handle it because my dog is a lot to handle at times. Not once during her stay did I receive any calls of messages of distress. Upon drop off back at my home I was given a full synopsis of their day and the adventures/ walks they had together. She came home clean and happy. I will be 100% rebooking with Shirley. First time using rover and she made me feel so comfortable with my choice.”

About: I love pets very much, I love everyone as my own and I will do it with pleasure and joy. I've had cats all my life. but when the war started - I took the puppy who was two months old because they were going to throw him out into the street. I took my baby when he was two months old, I taught him some commands, taught him to be clean, loving and polite to other people or animals❤️😌 My dog has always been with me everywhere. I left him for a maximum of 4 hours a day, but gave a lot of games with food in return ;) I always watch them, see what they are doing, where they are going to go. on the street I control that they do not pick up anything in their mouths and do not flirt with other dogs (this is not always safe)

About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember and truly enjoy bonding with pets because they feel like a safe space and the most genuine companions. I have 4+ years of experience caring for both cats and dogs, including feeding, playtime, walks, litter box cleaning, giving attention, and making pets feel comfortable and safe while their owners are away. Friends, neighbors, and family have relied on me to care for their pets with patience, love, and reliability. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because spending time with animals is something I genuinely enjoy. I make time throughout the week for feeding, walks, playtime, check-ins, and giving pets attention, comfort, and companionship while their owners are away. I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in a calm environment. I carefully follow feeding schedules, routines, and any instructions provided by the owner. I pay close attention to pets’ behavior, keep their spaces clean, make sure doors and gates are secure, and give them patience, affection, and gentle care so they feel relaxed and protected.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Livingston
Amy was really good with our dog who can be very nervous. He went crazy running in her big backyard and she was great about the high energy outside and was patient with him crying for a bit inside. She sent me an update and picture not long after we left to let me know that he was not crying anymore and doing well.

We had a wonderful experience with Anna! We would absolutely trust Anna with Duke again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful and loving sitter.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
