Anh adjusted to Pico’s needs and routine and also made him part of hers - giving him so much extra love and attention. About: Hi! I have been a pet parent for most of my life. I enjoy helping others in my community feel safe and less stressed with leaving their loved ones with someone! Mizu was in the best care while I was gone. Anh gave daily updates and made sure medications were given on time. She gave Mizu regular walks and prepped all his meals accordingly. She kept the house neat and clean after. She was also responsive and kept me updated at all times. She notified me as soon as she saw Mizu's usual skin condition to be sure everything was okay. I will definitely reach out if I need her again next time I plan a trip.
Mickela was truly a dream house sitter! She was incredibly responsive throughout our stay, sent lots of photos and updates, and, most importantly, spent so much time with our pets. We really appreciated knowing they were getting plenty of attention and care while we were away. Our dog has epilepsy and needs medication, which Mickela handled with no problem at all. He also has a habit of getting into things and eating things he shouldn’t, and she was so understanding and attentive to his quirks. She took such great care of both our pets and made us feel completely at ease. On top of all of that, she was extremely tidy and left our house absolutely spotless. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would highly recommend Mickela to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, caring, responsive, and respectful of their home. We would absolutely have her stay with our pets again!
Trina was absolutely amazing! She kept me fully informed with regular updates throughout the entire stay, which gave me total peace of mind. To make things even better, my travel plans got seriously delayed on my way home, and Trina was incredibly responsible and accommodating. She immediately adjusted her own schedule to cover the extra time needed until I could get back. I cannot recommend her enough and will definitely be booking with her again!
Oksana was absolutely phenomenal, and we could not have asked for a better person to care for our dogs, Bo and Kobi. She was professional, reliable, and treated them with so much care and attention. Despite the summer heat and temperatures reaching 95 degrees, Oksana consistently took Bo and Kobi on walks once or twice a day and made sure they stayed happy and well cared for. She also looked after our home and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Communication was excellent throughout, and it was clear that she genuinely cared about our dogs’ well being. We returned home to two happy pups and a house that had been well looked after. We would recommend Oksana without hesitation. Kayla was an amazing sitter for Asja during my time away! I am very particular about my dog and can normally gauge from the meet and greet if the sitter is a good fit. Natalie is an outstanding sitter. She is super professional and intentional with caregiving. Our dogs got plenty of exercise, stayed on their schedule, and got a ton of extra attention while we were away. We received updates and photos throughout. I am a first time Rover user, and was for a long time very wary of allowing strangers to take care of my fur babies. Roy, unequivocally, is the reason this site works. Roy communicated often, thoroughly, and was even patient when we had app difficulties and my communication lapsed. Roy took care of my two dogs and one cat and provided stimulation and lots of cuddles. We came home to a house that was pristine and three happy and healthy pets. As I told Roy personally, having the peace of mind to actually enjoy the vacation is nearly invaluable. We are very thankful to Roy and will definitely be booking again should the time come!
Overall my experience with Justina was okay. There were communication issues on arrival. I set the arrival time for the booking to 6-10pm. By 10pm I had not heard any arrival update. It took over 30 minutes to get ahold of Justina, including calling the emergency support line and prepping to leave my event to go back home. The ultimate arrival was nearly 2 hours past the set arrival time and my dog’s walk window. I do understand there was a vehicle issue and that unexpected things happen but communication is key. I would have made this a 5-star review if I had just been kept informed prior to the late arrival. Aside from the arrival issue the rest of the weekend went smoothly. Justina completed all requested walks and feeds in addition to sending pictures during the day. She also left my home spotless and well cared for.
Anthony was the god-send in an urgent situation, coming on board with very short notice. Because of my situation, some of the usual steps were skipped. I didn't learn til the meet & greet that he had some long shifts at work, that required me to make additional arrangements to feed and walk the dogs on those days. In the past, rover responders have checked the needs and raised the question of whether their schedule matches my dog's needs before we get to meet & greet. Secondly, being clear about expectations/limits of pantry use would have served us both better. Finally, expectations that the fridge be left empty of the dog-sitters leftovers should have been expressed. Ultimately, my dogs were cared for. And I think Anthony is learning how to be a considerate in=home sitter.
