About: I've taken care of dogs who love everyone and those who are as choosy as cats in their people. I share my home with four cats, each one with their own style of pets and play (and their own diets). Every animal, just like every person, has their own personality. My goal is to pay attention and interact with them in a way that makes them feel safe, loved, and...if they're up for it...entertained. Need someone to walk your canine companions for a couple miles and then follow detailed instructions on which doggo gets what food and treats? That's me. Does your cat need someone to feed it and then sit in quietly in the same room for company without insisting on pets? That's me, too. Additionally, I have experience with administering medication to both cats and dogs (pills, inhalers, injections). I'm a remote-first professional, so my schedule is fairly flexible. Animals thrive with consistent routines, so I make a point to arrive on time and follow all owner directions. I regularly book between 7 AM and 9 PM, but currently my schedule is tight. Morning appointments are available if timing is flexible +\- a couple hours. My goal is to ensure that pets feel as safe and loved. Animals thrive on routine, so I'll be on time and follow your directions to ensure as much normalcy as possible while you're away. I have four cats, all of whom have different diets, play styles, and stranger tolerance, so I'm used to paying close attention to details. I'll earn your pets' trust by following your directions and adapting my approach to their needs. As a pet parent, I understand the importance of knowing how your companions are doing while you're away. I'll always check in with you and include pictures and updates. I'll never hesitate to reach out if I have any concerns or questions. While your pet is in my care, they are my number one priority.

“Bale was fantastic, comfortable and sweet with my pups, we had a wonderful walk! We will be booking with Bale again soon!”

“Our new-to-us 12 1/2 year old Havanese rescue did very well with Michael’s care during our first afternoon outing since we adopted him. We have already scheduled another longer stay next month. We really appreciate all the dog friendly security and thoughtful enrichment activities Michael provides. Charlie was the better for the experience! Highly recommended.”

“Autumn did a great job getting nico to feel comfortable and trusting and left nicely detailed notes. I had a family emergency and had to get a dog walker quickly and Autumn was very flexible and helpful. Thank you!”

“My boy Zero loved his walk with Erin! Great communication before, during, and after their walk together. I was sent plenty of photos to warm my heart while I was stuck at work. I would highly recommend Erin for any of your pet related needs :)”

“Thanks for your care of our pup!”

About: I've had dogs of my own for a little under three years but have been around dogs and loving them for 15 years. I'd love to be able to take your furry babies on my walks during the day, or watch them for extended periods. I am not able to have pets with my current living situation so I a lot of love and energy to give to your sweet pets. I am currently and full time grad student in Geology, so my schedule is pretty flexible. I like going on daily walks and would love a dog to join me. I don't leave town very often so I am around to help pet sit when needed. I also I'm starved for dog and kitty interaction since I am not able to get a car or dog of my own at the moment. So lots of loving energy to give. I am not able to care for other animals in my house but I am able to go to other houses to look after your pets if you leave. I make sure to have detailed lists of medications, feeding preferences and other important information written so I always know how to properly care for your pets. I also make sure ask and really try to understand each animals individual personality so I know the best way to interact with them.

About: I adopted my sweet Fox (Chihuahua mix) from the Oregon Humane Society over 10 years ago and he has been my best bud always by my side through all of life’s ups and downs and moves across states! I current work from home, so I’m around most of the day outside of getting out for a run! I often run in the morning, during lunch, or after work but this can be flexible to suit the needs of the animals! I have a very friendly approximately 12 year old chihuahua mix. I live in a small condo but very close to walking areas and a dog park!

“I had an early morning job and needed help with my pup on short notice. Thankfully Brooke was happy to help out and took my boy Zero for a nice morning walk. I would highly recommend Brooke for anyone in need of pet related services. Zero says 5 stars!”

About: I'm a caring and dependable animal lover with lifelong experience owning and looking after pets. In addition to caring for my own animals, I've also looked after others' pets and volunteered with animals. I truly enjoy spending time with animals and my priority is always to ensure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for in your absence. I'm currently enrolled in online school and work part-time. I'm available for pet sitting on weekends and Wednesdays, with some additional weekday availability. I'm happy to discuss your specific needs and will always do my best to accommodate your pet's routine. I care for others' animals the same way I care for my own - with love, patience, and attention to their individual needs. My goal is always to make sure that every pet feels loved, supported, and well cared for - whether it's through daily routines, giving affection, or dedicating play time.

“Darien’s caring nature and attention to detail are greatly appreciated when she is caring for our nine year old labradoodle. Our dog, Charlie, gets the long walk he loves in an unhurried fashion, when Darien takes him. Charlie also appreciates it that Darien never forgets his after walk treat or to wipe his paws off when they return. Darien is always prompt and reliable, we are so fortunate to have her help.”

“Heather did a great job building trust with my puppy for her first doggy care experience. My pup is wary of new people and is working through separation anxiety but by the second visit she was super excited to see Heather for their walks. Such a relief for me to know she’s in such good hands when I am away.”

About: I've had dogs my whole life. I currently dog sit for my daughter's dog (a 2 year old golden retriever) and I would love to walk and/or take care of your dogs too! Retired with lots of free time! I have a flexible job and love getting outdoors and walking, so having a dog with me sounds great. I have a fenced yard and am comfortable walking on leashes with harnesses. Happy to do whatever makes your dogs comfortable, just let me know.

About: I've been an animal person my entire life. When I was in grad school at Western several years ago, I worked part-time for a local pet-sitting business, The Placid Pet, where I enjoyed four wonderful years of looking after client dogs and cats. Currently, I am a full-time writer seeking healthy activities to supplement the hours I spend in front of a computer. What better way to get that activity than to hang out with awesome dogs and provide my fellow Bellinghamsters with the peace of mind that comes with knowing your furry family member is happy and well taken care of? As a former college athlete and life-long hiker, I'm in good shape for whatever activity your dog needs. I'm available for short or long walks in your neighborhood or at a nearby park or trail of your choosing, and I'm also happy to stop in and snuggle with your anxious pet for as long as he or she needs. I've taken an animal CPR training course in the past and plan a refresher course in the near future. Your dog's health and well-being is of utmost importance to me, and as a former professional dog walker, I have the skills and experience to keep your pet safe and happy during my visits. As a writer, my time is flexible, so I can be available in the mornings, at lunch, or in the early afternoon on a regular basis. I coach soccer on the weekends, but an occasional Sunday visit might be possible as needed. I am experienced entering client homes to render service, and as someone who has lived with escape-artist pets, I am also accustomed to entering homes carefully to make sure even the wiliest of pets doesn't escape. My car has a dog gate in back so that your pet can travel safely, should you choose for me to take them to a park or trail.

About: What sets me apart from other pet sitters is my commitment to personalized care and attention for each pet. I have grown up caring for all sorts of animals; cats, dogs, and horses. I have helped raise multiple puppies into beautiful family friendly furry companions, assisted in the care of senior dogs with mobility issues and skilled in different routes of medication administration. I will take the time to understand your pet's unique personality, routine, and needs, ensuring they feel comfortable and loved in their own home. My focus on clear communication means you'll receive regular updates, so you never have to worry. I'm flexible, reliable, and genuinely passionate about animals, which allows me to provide a level of care that goes beyond basic sitting. Your pet will feel safe, happy, and truly cared for while you're away. Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily schedule as I prioritize it alongside my other responsibilities. Whether its a morning walk, afternoon play session, or evening check-in, I work around your pet's agenda to provide the attention they deserve. My flexible schedule allows me to adapt to your pet's needs, offering personalized care throughout the day while ensuring they feel loved and secure. I will care for your pets in their home by providing a familiar, comfortable environment where they can feel safe and sound. I follow your pet's established routine, ensuring they receive the right amount of feeding, exercise, and attention. Whether its playtime, walks, or cuddles, I engage with them in ways that suit their personality and needs. I also keep their environment clean and ensure they stay healthy by monitoring their well-being. Throughout my time with your pet I maintain open communication with you, providing updates and photos so you can rest easy knowing your pet is well cared for.

“Thanks for your care of our pup!”

Kelly J.
“Kelly has watched my two cats on multiple occasions and done a great job. My senior cat is a diabetic who requires twice daily insulin injections. My second cat has IBS requiring special food, and supplements and at times multiple medications to help his system. She has cared for him during his flare ups when he required medicine every 6 hours. I trust her implicitly with my cats. Kelly does a great job following food and medicine instructions. She also does a great job spending time with them and playing with them. They are always happy and healthy when I come home.”

Kennedy R.
“Kennedy has an outstanding passion and love for all animals, more so than anyone else I’ve ever met. She is attentive, cautious, and compassionate with her own pets as well as others. She has personal experience with volunteering at animal shelters as well as more than a decade of experience in being a doggy momma. The only difficult part about the whole the pet-sitting process is that once Kennedy is done your precious loved one(s) are going to be in such good shape they don’t want to leave!”

Donald C.
“Don watched my golden retriever, Daisy, while my husband and I were out of town, and she clearly had a blast! We got regular updates from him about how Daisy was doing, how she was eating, and what they did every day. She had a great time with him going on 3-4 walks a day (more than I get to take her!), playing tug as much as she wanted, and getting all the treats and pets. Don also kept our house spotless - we could barely tell that we had someone in our home. I will be a repeat customer!”

Jenny V.
“Jen worked for The Placid Pet, Inc. -- a pet sitting/dog walking company in Bellingham, WA -- for several years. She was a cherished staff member due to her reliability, smarts and deep love for pets and their well-being. I highly recommend her for hiking off-leash with dogs, walking dogs (or cats) on-leash and all kinds of pet sitting -- domestic pets, exotics and farm animals.”
