“I met Michael and he's great. Very nice, responsive, helpful and flexible. I was super grateful to Michael for taking Moose last minute when plans fell through with another sitter. Got daily updates and picture of Moose having the BEST time ever. Moose enjoyed a huge property with a creek, other sweet dog friends to play with and AC which we don't have at home, what a luxury! Would absolutely recommend.”

“Victor took care of my 4-month-old Labrador puppy, Ginger, for a full week while I was on vacation, and I couldn’t be more grateful. Ginger is still very young—she isn’t fully potty trained or fully trained in general—so caring for her is truly a full-time job. Victor showed incredible patience, kindness, and dedication throughout. Ginger even ripped some of his dog’s toys, and he never once complained. He handled every challenge with understanding and care, and Ginger was clearly happy and well looked after. I’m extremely thankful to Victor and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone reliable and compassionate to care for their pet.”

“Ritta took such amazing care of my little Lucy. She sent pictures and updates regularly which I so appreciated since I have never left Lucy before. It is obvious she truly loves and enjoys the pups. We will totally be visiting Ritta again. Highly recommend.”

“Natalie is wonderful! As soon as we got there she made me and my girl comfortable. My dog is very perceptive with people and animals. If she isn’t comfortable she won’t go near them. Immediately my dog was wagging her tail and happy to be there. Likewise, when we picked her up she was happy. While greeting us she kept going back to Natalie as well. I will definitely want my girl to stay with Natalie again. What a relief to find a loving compassionate caring home for my girl when we need one”

“I left my dog with John for 10 days, and I couldn’t be happier with the care he provided. John kept me updated regularly with photos and messages, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. It’s clear he truly cares about the dogs he looks after. I’ll definitely be booking with him again in the future!”

“Jenny took care of our neighbor's dog Willow for us when we were taking care of it and had to leave unexpectedly for 3 days, the boarding experience went very well and she was very thoughtful and asked good questions prior to the boarding. Willow had a great time playing with her dog and when I came to pick her up Jenny had Willow's crate all packed up with her things and ready for me, which I really appreciated. Willow is a dog who can be anxious at times but it was obvious that she felt very comfortable with Jenny. We are pretty picky about who watches our pooches and are glad to have found someone in Gold Bar who we feel good about recommending or using for our own dogs.”
About: I have had small dogs my entire life and recently lost my beloved fur baby after 18 wonderful years together. Caring for senior dogs has always been a meaningful part of my life. But, welcome all ages. I have extensive experience providing the extra love, patience, and care that older dogs need, including managing the challenges that come with aging. All of my dogs have lived beyond 15 years old, and I have personally experienced the many stages of senior care—from mobility changes and special routines to simply providing comfort, companionship, and a safe, loving environment. I understand that senior dogs require extra attention, and I treat every dog as a cherished member of the family. I currently work full time from home, which allows me to provide constant companionship, attention, and care throughout the day. Your beloved family member would never be left alone and would receive the same love, patience, and comfort that I have always given my own dogs. I understand how important it is to trust someone with a member of your family, and I would treat your dog as if they were my own. While I do not have a fenced yard, I provide a safe and supervised environment at all times. Your dog would always have my full attention and would either be right by my side or safely on a leash when outside. Their safety, comfort, and happiness would always be my top priority.
“Lisa by far provides the best dog boarder experience we have ever had. She really does provide above and beyond care for our pups. She is a wonderful communicator and just loves our animals like her own. Making us pet parents feel at ease knowing our pups are in loving care and comes very trusted.”

“With just one booking, Rebecca has become our favorite dog sitter. I haven’t left Enzo (Bernese Mountain Dog) with anyone other than family and have a tough time leaving him overnight, as he is a Velcro dog that doesn’t want me out of his sight. Rebecca kindly and professionally allowed us to do a meet-and-greet prior to booking, to put my mind at ease. Enzo immediately took to her and her pups. She sent ample updates, photos, and videos throughout his stay, putting my mind at ease. Finally, she was more than accommodating with last-minute bookings and changes. Enzo can’t wait to go back!”

“Thank you for giving Kiwi a home away from home. Such peace of mind to know he was well taken care of. Also fun to see he had some friends rotate in while he was staying with Margaret & Michael.”

“Julie Ann was terrific. My two boys came home better trained than when they arrived at her place! Aside from taking good care of our dogs overnight, she shared with me some tips on how to have them walk better on leashes. She was able to accomplish in 5 minutes what I have been working on for 4 years! We will be booking again with her for a longer stay later this summer.”

“STOP! Look no more! This is the sitter u are looking for. My frenchie loves people but is very picky with whom he cuddles with. Within one day, he was snuggling with Terri. Shes a special human who really has a connection with animals. Her pictures and updates are stellar! Book her!”

“Amanda is great and my dog loved playing with Amanda’s 2 pups. My dog had so much fun, was well taken care of and Amanda sent me pictures of my pup throughout the boarding. Home is very clean and her pups are very loved. Highly recommend.”
“Jenny is amazing. I have left my shi-tzu with her several times and always had prompt communication, and pet came back very happy. I can tell her family loves animals and I wouldn’t hesitate to leave my pup with her again!”

“Our family has used Kelsey twice and I can already say she is a stellar pupsitter. While my dog is happy to see me when I get there to pick him up I can tell by the way he glances at her that he likes her. She is also great about sending update pics. It seems she treats our pup as part of her family. The land she lives on provides great space for my pup to run around on. Highly recommend Kelsey and her family for day sitting and extended trips.”

“Dawn is AMAZING! Our Ridgeback stayed with Dawn for 8 nights while we were away on vacation. Dawn and her family are caring, kind, and experienced. We could not have found a better person to watch Lima while we were away. We were very apprehensive about using Rover for such an extended period, but Dawn immediately put us at ease and was very communicative throughout the whole process. We could not recommend her more! Thank you Dawn!!!”
“Our pup, Olive, had a great time! Lots of great photos. We felt confident leaving our girl with Suzanne and would be happy to book with her again in the future!”

“Our two Boston terriers had a great time at Tracy’s place! They loved her large outdoor space and playing with other dogs. Tracy is very reliable and knowledgeable, and I can tell our dogs felt comfortable in her care. Tracy was also flexible to extend their stay a day longer when our travel plans changed. Thanks Tracy!”

“We had a wonderful experience with Romy! She took excellent care of Uni and gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. We received regular updates, photos, and could tell our dog was happy, comfortable, and well loved. Romy was reliable, communicative, flexible and treated our dog like her own. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring sitter.”

“Fiona is an AMAZING sitter! Our dog Leia loved her and was so excited to board with her, which never usually happens. Leia is normally a cautious, reserved dog who is hard to excite, but the day of her stay, she ran into . She sent tons of photos and kept us up to date the whole stay.”

Every sitter on Rover has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Startup home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Startup.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
