While my dog stayed with Riitta, we received updates and pictures on how my dog was doing. They weren’t too many and they weren’t too little: it was just the right amount of communication! “Victor took care of my 4-month-old Labrador puppy, Ginger, for a full week while I was on vacation, and I couldn’t be more grateful. Ginger is still very young—she isn’t fully potty trained or fully trained in general—so caring for her is truly a full-time job. Victor showed incredible patience, kindness, and dedication throughout. Ginger even ripped some of his dog’s toys, and he never once complained. He handled every challenge with understanding and care, and Ginger was clearly happy and well looked after. “Jenny took care of our neighbor's dog Willow for us when we were taking care of it and had to leave unexpectedly for 3 days, the boarding experience went very well and she was very thoughtful and asked good questions prior to the boarding. Willow had a great time playing with her dog and when I came to pick her up Jenny had Willow's crate all packed up with her things and ready for me, which I really appreciated. Willow is a dog who can be anxious at times but it was obvious that she felt very comfortable with Jenny. We are pretty picky about who watches our pooches and are glad to have found someone in Gold Bar who we feel good about recommending or using for our own dogs.”

“Natalie is amazing! My dog Ellie can struggle with anxiety and fear meeting new people/places, but she seemed immediately comfortable with Natalie during our meet and greet. She was very accommodating, asked great questions at drop off to make sure Ellie was comfortable, and provided updates and photos throughout the stay. We will definitely use her again, I think Ellie was sad to say goodbye.”

“Somer and Thomas were so great. They helped us out of a jam by accepting a very last-minute boarding reservation for our senior Great Pyrenees. Rosalie stayed 3 nights and was very well taken care of. When we picked her up she was calm, happy, and tired. Somer seems very knowledgeable about dog care and behavior and she even picked up on a medical issue Rosalie has and kept her cool and comfortable through a hot few days. We very much appreciate it and would absolutely recommend Somer and Thomas for boarding.”

One dog needed to have stitches removed while we were gone and John generously agreed to take him in to have that done. The dogs came back happy and healthy.
