“Our doggies loved it! Highly recommend them. Very caring and knowledgeable! One of our dogs is very scared of loud noises like thunder storms and they comforted him like he was their own. Makes my heart melt to know how much they throughly and truly love dogs. Thank you so much!!”

“Victor took care of my 4-month-old Labrador puppy, Ginger, for a full week while I was on vacation, and I couldn’t be more grateful. Ginger is still very young—she isn’t fully potty trained or fully trained in general—so caring for her is truly a full-time job. Victor showed incredible patience, kindness, and dedication throughout. Ginger even ripped some of his dog’s toys, and he never once complained. He handled every challenge with understanding and care, and Ginger was clearly happy and well looked after. I’m extremely thankful to Victor and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone reliable and compassionate to care for their pet.”

“Riitta is amazing! We had water damage at our house, and she took our dog on very short notice—even though she had vacation plans. When the mitigation ended up taking longer than expected, she was kind enough to let us extend our dog's stay, again on short notice. So happy with her services!!”

“John took amazing care of our dog, Yuri! He went above and beyond to ensure Yuri was happy and comfortable during his stay. I really appreciated the daily photos and updates, which put me at ease while we were away. It’s clear that John loves animals and treats them like his own. I would highly recommend him and will definitely be booking with him again in the future. Thank you, John!”

“First time using Rover and it was amazing! Natalie is kind and wonderful! our dogs were totally cool having a two week vacation with her. she sent us pictures every other day to show us how they were doing and did very well with their complicated medications. we will totally book with her again.”

“Jenny took care of our neighbor's dog Willow for us when we were taking care of it and had to leave unexpectedly for 3 days, the boarding experience went very well and she was very thoughtful and asked good questions prior to the boarding. Willow had a great time playing with her dog and when I came to pick her up Jenny had Willow's crate all packed up with her things and ready for me, which I really appreciated. Willow is a dog who can be anxious at times but it was obvious that she felt very comfortable with Jenny. We are pretty picky about who watches our pooches and are glad to have found someone in Gold Bar who we feel good about recommending or using for our own dogs.”
“Debbi took such great care of our puppy. Sent us daily pictures to see what adventures and shinanagins he was getting into. Will definitely be rebooking with Debbi when we head out on vacation again.”

“Lisa is the best. Kona was spoiled and had so much fun on her daily adventures with Lisa. I received lots of pics of her doing walks, relaxing and just smiling. It filled my heart to know and see she was happy and safe while we were on vacation.”

“Can’t say enough about how wonderful Liz was!! Her expertise in dog behavior is obvious, her communication (both before and during our pup’s stay) was lovely, and our nervous pup was made so comfortable! It was a relief to know our pup was in such good hands for our weekend away. Thank you Liz!!!”

“Amanda did an amazing job with Koda, she's a total pro, great with animals, fantastic communicator, and usually Koda takes a few days to warm up but within 30 minutes he was putty in her hands. Thank you Amanda for being such an amazing host!”

“Taylor is a friendly and trustworthy dog sitter. His calm demeanor made our slightly nervous dog feel comfortable and safe. He has a large yard, and sent us video of her playing throughout her stay. He responds to texts and emails right away. I would highly recommend Taylor for your animal sitting needs. Our dog came home excersized, relaxed and happy.”

“Giovanna was amazing and Rory had such a great time! Loved the videos and photos, I had complete confidence that Rory was doing well and being well cared for while I was out of town. Thank you!”
“Margaret took such great care of my dog while I was away for a week. My dog became very comfortable in her home, which was a great relief for me, knowing he was being well cared for. I will definitely be using Margaret again for my future vacation plans.”

“Dawn did a great job taking care of my dog, and she had a great time playing with her dog. Dawn, sent videos and pictures of the two dogs playing and sleeping. When I picked her up, she was happy and relaxed. I recommend her and will have my dog stay there again.”
“Jenny was an excellent dog sitter! I was concerned that I would not be able to communicate with her because my Spanish is bad, but her sweet son was able to translate for us. She was very attentive to Bouncer during his weekend stay and sent me updates with a picture of him. The best part was that she and her family were very kind. Kindness is not something you can translate. You can just feel it. Also, her prices were unbeatable! Would highly recommend her services to anyone. Jenny fue una excelente cuidadora de perros! Me preocupaba no poder comunicarme con ella porque mi español no es bueno, pero su dulce hijo pudo traducirnos. Fue muy atenta con mi perro Bouncer durante su estancia de fin de semana y me envió fotos de él. Lo mejor fue que ella y su familia fueron muy amables. La amabilidad no se puede traducir. Simplemente se siente. Además, ¡sus precios eran inmejorables! Recomiendo fuertemente sus servicios a cualquiera.”

“I highly recommend Rachael!! She did amazing with my high energy, 1.5 year old, 60lb puppy! She sent many photos of him looking very happy playing with all the other dogs. She even did some leash training with him as well (with my request/permission)! I left with some helpful tips and pointers on how to better walk him. Also, she always responded immediately every time I had a question. Thank you Rachael!”

“Kelsey was INCREDIBLE with my puppers. She was sure to make sure that we had a meet and greet first to ensure that she knew and was a good fit for him before the actual boarding. When I came back to get my dog, they were the best of friends!”

“Tia always take such good care of doggos and provides updates during their stay, which is really appreciated. We can tell our dogs are happy in her care and get lots of love and attention.”

“Somer and Thomas were so great. They helped us out of a jam by accepting a very last-minute boarding reservation for our senior Great Pyrenees. Rosalie stayed 3 nights and was very well taken care of. When we picked her up she was calm, happy, and tired. Somer seems very knowledgeable about dog care and behavior and she even picked up on a medical issue Rosalie has and kept her cool and comfortable through a hot few days. We very much appreciate it and would absolutely recommend Somer and Thomas for boarding.”

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
