“Michael and Leslie are extremely trustworthy and knowledgeable caretakers for our dogs. They’ve boarded them several times now and our dogs always come back happy, healthy, and tired from running around on the farm and getting to play with other visiting dogs!”

“Ritta took such amazing care of my little Lucy. She sent pictures and updates regularly which I so appreciated since I have never left Lucy before. It is obvious she truly loves and enjoys the pups. We will totally be visiting Ritta again. Highly recommend.”

“Victor took care of my 4-month-old Labrador puppy, Ginger, for a full week while I was on vacation, and I couldn’t be more grateful. Ginger is still very young—she isn’t fully potty trained or fully trained in general—so caring for her is truly a full-time job. Victor showed incredible patience, kindness, and dedication throughout. Ginger even ripped some of his dog’s toys, and he never once complained. He handled every challenge with understanding and care, and Ginger was clearly happy and well looked after. I’m extremely thankful to Victor and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone reliable and compassionate to care for their pet.”

“Jenny took care of our neighbor's dog Willow for us when we were taking care of it and had to leave unexpectedly for 3 days, the boarding experience went very well and she was very thoughtful and asked good questions prior to the boarding. Willow had a great time playing with her dog and when I came to pick her up Jenny had Willow's crate all packed up with her things and ready for me, which I really appreciated. Willow is a dog who can be anxious at times but it was obvious that she felt very comfortable with Jenny. We are pretty picky about who watches our pooches and are glad to have found someone in Gold Bar who we feel good about recommending or using for our own dogs.”
“Natalie is amazing! My dog Ellie can struggle with anxiety and fear meeting new people/places, but she seemed immediately comfortable with Natalie during our meet and greet. She was very accommodating, asked great questions at drop off to make sure Ellie was comfortable, and provided updates and photos throughout the stay. We will definitely use her again, I think Ellie was sad to say goodbye.”

“Thank you, John for a wonderful overnight with Rigby! John has the perfect set up with a lovely, fully fenced natural wooded area where dogs can roam and enjoy being outside safely. John is very sensitive to a dog's needs and figured out easily that Rigby needed more space to feel comfortable. John was able to handle Rigby's odd behaviors and recognized much of it is likely due to anxiety. Rigby is a rescue who we've had since October so we are still figuring him out; he's almost 12 so we are the ones likely going to be making the adjustments versus him. Thanks to John's relaxed nature, we felt comfortable entrusting Rigby with him for overnight care. John provides quick responses and thoroughly takes notes to be prepared for his sessions with his dog guests. We will be returning for more visits in the future! Thank you, John!”

“Our dog Lucky has had such a great time with Lisa. He boarded with her for a long weekend and we received frequent fun updates and photos of their adventures, hikes and relaxation at home. Knowing he was in such good hands allowed us to really enjoy our time with family. We would recommend her to anyone who needs professional, kind care and excellent communication with a pet sitter! Thank you, Lisa!”

“So thankful to have found Rebecca on Rover. She takes care of my Bernese Mountain Dog like he is her own — plenty of play time, walks, and pets. It’s clear Enzo adores her by the way he runs up to the door when we arrive! Enzo comes home tired and happy every time. I especially love Rebecca’s communication. It’s clear and frequent, with photo and video updates throughout each stay. Highly recommend booking with her.”

“I felt very comfortable leaving my Yorkie with Margaret, she took excellent care of him. It was nice receiving updates on how he was doing, I will definitely be asking her to watch him again.”

“Dawn was absolutely fantastic!! She was able to accommodate my dog last minute and is super amazing!!! Her place is a dog haven, with a lush yard and lots of shady tall trees. She sent me pupdates all weekend, and I could tell my dog was having a blast, and was super content and happy. Her pets are total sweethearts and they all got along great. An absolute gem, if you want the best for your pooch, look no further.”

“Our two Boston terriers had a great time at Tracy’s place! They loved her large outdoor space and playing with other dogs. Tracy is very reliable and knowledgeable, and I can tell our dogs felt comfortable in her care. Tracy was also flexible to extend their stay a day longer when our travel plans changed. Thanks Tracy!”

“Teri is wonderful with Louie. She sends us photos every day that often make us laugh because she understands his personality so well and he's sad to leave her place when we come get him. She's the best!”

“Somer and Thomas were so great. They helped us out of a jam by accepting a very last-minute boarding reservation for our senior Great Pyrenees. Rosalie stayed 3 nights and was very well taken care of. When we picked her up she was calm, happy, and tired. Somer seems very knowledgeable about dog care and behavior and she even picked up on a medical issue Rosalie has and kept her cool and comfortable through a hot few days. We very much appreciate it and would absolutely recommend Somer and Thomas for boarding.”

“Julie Ann was terrific. My two boys came home better trained than when they arrived at her place! Aside from taking good care of our dogs overnight, she shared with me some tips on how to have them walk better on leashes. She was able to accomplish in 5 minutes what I have been working on for 4 years! We will be booking again with her for a longer stay later this summer.”

“Peaches absolutely loved her time with Kelsey and her family! Kelsey was a fantastic communicator and kept me updated with pictures and videos of Peaches’ adventures with her girls. Thank you so much for welcoming her into your home!”

“We had a wonderful experience with Romy! She took excellent care of Uni and gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. We received regular updates, photos, and could tell our dog was happy, comfortable, and well loved. Romy was reliable, communicative, flexible and treated our dog like her own. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring sitter.”

“Great communication and worked around me messing up with the app with ease! Ransford is not necessarily the easiest dog and I got nothing but glowing reports because of how much fun he was having! She did well with his meds and I trusted his safety in the house and with the other family members, furry and human. She will be my first call next time I need a sitter!”
“Fiona and family took excellent care of our senior pup and we're very grateful that care instructions were followed meticulously and that Tibby was well taken care of. Thank you Fiona!”

Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
