I really appreciate Hannah’s timeliness and the care she gives my two dogs. Getting the report and pictures before I get home helps me know they are doing well.

Bryn has been such a gift of a human being that has become like a family member taking care of my boy, Flynn, when I’ve had to run out of town the past few months. She’s responsive, deeply professional, kind, protective and clearly adores the animals she cares for and treats them as her own. She stays in touch and really gets to know your pet. Can’t lose with Bryn! Can’t recommend her enough! Shes a huge reason I’ve been able to start building this new chapter of my life, knowing Flynn is in good hands when I can’t be there.

About: I’ve had and taken care of dogs since I was 16. My entire family now all have dogs of their own so I come from a large dog loving family. I’m ready and willing to take care of your dog as if they were part of my family. I’m a nurse so being caring is in my nature, this also allows me to be comfortable administering medications I’m currently a full time RN working 3 12 hour shifts a week, every third weekend so I have pretty flexible availability throughout the week. I live in an apartment that has a fenced in doggy park area. I have a small 12yo dog who still loves to play with other dogs and a 2yo cat who thinks he’s a dog and also likes to play and a new 3mo old golden retriever puppy

About: I have had dogs since birth. My most recent girl passed away a year ago, but I am very experienced with both care and training. I am a nurse who started Rover due to being in between jobs because of my own ongoing medical care. Currently I am employed, but had too much fun on Rover! I work part time and am very flexible with care! Currently ONLY offering BOARDING TO CATS. I have a designated dog park at my apartment with people I trust who go there, usually no one or one other person is there. I enjoy engaging them to do the obstacle courses, but am fine playing fetch or chasing them around as well.

I truly can't thank Brenda enough for the incredible care, attention, and love she gave to my two dogs while we were away on vacation. From the moment we left, she made us feel completely at ease, knowing our pups were in the best possible hands. Every single day, Brenda sent us a delightful stream of photos, capturing sweet moments from their walks, in the house, and quiet cuddles. Her pictures were not only beautiful but also full of personality, and they gave us such joy and reassurance while we were away. Alongside the photos, Brenda included detailed, thoughtful notes about how she spent her time with each dog. She described their moods, their favorite activities, and even the little quirks that make them unique. My family and I found ourselves eagerly awaiting her updates each day, excited to see what new adventures our dogs had been on and to read her creative, often humorous observations. It felt like she wasn’t just watching them, she was truly bonding with them, treating them as if they were her own. What impressed us most was how intuitively Brenda connected with both dogs, despite their very different temperaments. One is energetic and playful, the other more reserved and sensitive, and somehow Brenda managed to meet each of them exactly where they were. She tailored her approach with such care and understanding, and it was clear from the photos and notes that both dogs absolutely adored her. Brenda’s warmth, professionalism, and genuine love for animals made all the difference. I honestly can’t imagine leaving my beloved dogs with anyone else. She’s more than a pet sitter, she’s a trusted companion to our furry family members, and we feel incredibly lucky to have found her!

About: I’ve been a consistent pet owner since birth! I grew up caring for cats, rabbits, turtles, gerbils, and fish. As an adult, I have been trusted with care and medicating pets of all kinds, including even my own pet-sitter’s dog and cat! My last dear pet passed away last summer and now I am free to care for yours in my home or yours. I love animals of all types and sizes, from the tiniest jumping spider to the largest Great Dane, and they all seem to love me back! I take deep pride in keeping your animals happy and safe I am currently available to meet your needs. I have open availability during the day/evening for walk/play/feeding visits, and I have the availability to house your pet overnight in my home I live in a townhouse so while I don’t have a large yard or one that’s fenced in, there are plenty of areas in the neighborhood for dog-walking and tons of dog neighbors as well. About: Hi! My name is Ashley, and I’m a proud mom to my 11-year-old daughter, as well as a devoted pet mom to a 12-year-old boxer mix, a playful 5-month-old French bulldog, and our 4-year-old house cat. I work as a special education paraprofessional and also have seven years of childcare experience, which has helped me develop patience, responsibility, and a caring nature. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pets. I would love the opportunity to provide your furry family members with safe, loving, and dependable care! I am a special education paraprofessional during the school year and I took the summer off to spend time with my daughter and family this year. I absolutely love animals of all kinds so I figured this would be the best opportunity for me to keep me busy over the summer. Spending time with my pups always keeps my heart happy and I’m sure yours will too! I can not offer boarding but if I will walk or play with your pups anyway that is available at your home. Long walks or a game of fetch are always good options!

Simba completed his first week of walking with Tim, and he is loving it! Tim is very friendly and always on time. He gives us regular and plenty of updates about the walk- the route, potty/pee-pee breaks, and of course many photos of our fuzzball on the walk <3 Simba is very comfortable walking with Tim, and I can tell that he looks forward to his walks with him already.

About: Hi! I’m Olivia, a lifelong animal lover with over 10 years of experience caring for pets of all kinds. I currently have two dogs and two cats of my own and have spent years helping care for pets belonging to family, friends, and neighbors. Beyond dogs and cats, I have 3 years of horse care experience and 5 years caring for reptiles, birds, fish, and other household pets. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, senior, or just needs extra patience and attention, I’ll care for them like they’re my own. I believe every pet deserves personalized care, consistency, and lots of love while their owner is away. I’m dependable, detail-oriented, and also have a passion for keeping spaces clean and organized, so you can feel confident your pets and home are in great hands. This summer, I have very open availability and a flexible schedule, allowing me to provide attentive care throughout the day and week for your pets. I’m available for drop-ins, walks, overnight stays, and pet sitting in your home on most days and times. The only dates I am unavailable are June 14th–June 20th. Outside of those dates, I’m happy to work with your schedule to make sure your pets receive consistent, reliable care. In the fall, I’ll be starting my junior year at Temple University, so my availability will become more limited, but I’ll continue updating my schedule and communicating clearly about availability. I care for pets in my client’s home the same way I care for my own pets—with patience, attention, consistency, and lots of love. I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe and comfortable in their familiar environment, so I do my best to stick closely to their normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), litter box care, potty breaks, and any other instructions you provide. Building trust with both pets and owners is very important to me. I know every pet has a different personality and comfort level, whether they’re energetic, shy, senior, or need extra patience. I take the time to help pets feel comfortable while making sure they are safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I also take pride in being respectful of your home and keeping things clean, tidy, and exactly how you left them so you can have peace of mind while you’re gone.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
