I understand that consistency is important for animals, so I strive to keep their daily routine as normal and stress-free as possible while their owners are away. During walks, I ensure dogs are safely leashed, hydrated when needed, and given appropriate exercise based on their age, energy level, and individual needs.

About: I grew up with a reactive black lab, so I know how to handle leash pulling and how to deescalate and prevent fights. In her old age, I learned to accommodate her failing joints. I’ve been trained at the Licking County Humane Society in Ohio as a volunteer dog walker, which has well equipped me to understand and respond respectfully to dog language. I further pursue this knowledge by reading about how dogs communicate with us, and by observing and analyzing their behavior both in real life and online. This will be my primary commitment, so I can easily cater to your schedule to fit your pets needs. Mornings, evenings, weekends, whatever you need, except Thursdays :) I will take great care to follow your instructions and respect the rules of your home and needs of your animal(s). I cannot accept boarding in my own home at the moment.

About: Dogs have been a part of my life for over 50 years. I've cared for my own pets as well as regularly helped family and friends by watching their dogs, walking them, and making sure they were well cared for while their owners are away. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I treat every dog like part of the family. I am retiring and love working with dogs, so my schedule is very flexible. This allows me to give pets plenty of time, attention, and care while keeping active and meeting new furry friends I provide a safe and loving environment with a fenced-in yard for supervised outdoor time. I make sure dogs get regular walks, exercise, and plenty of attention. I also enjoy keeping pets engaged with toys and fun activities, including an outdoor pool in the summer, so they stay happy, active and comfortable.

About: I’ve cared for dogs all my life, and I have lots of experience with big breeds as I’ve owned three Newfoundlands and a Leonberger. I also have some experience with elderly dogs. I have assisted in training all the dogs I’ve owned, and most importantly, I love all animals! I’m a college student home for the summer, so I’ve gotten plenty of time to spend time with your doggy. I’m less available early in the day (6–9AM), but from 9AM onward I’m at the disposal of your puppy. :) I’m quite good with crate training, as well as dogs that are a bit more stubborn. I am comfortable staying with them as long or as short as needed. I also have a lot of experience walking dogs that require prong collars or harnesses.

I have a very flexible schedule and am available most days of the week. I’m typically available Monday through Friday at any time, and I can accommodate a variety of routines and needs. While I prefer weekdays, I may be able to help on weekends with advance notice I always prioritize your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine. In your home, I make sure to follow all instructions closely whether that’s feeding schedules, medication, walk routines, or any specific care your pet needs. I take the time to learn each pet’s personality so they feel safe and relaxed while you’re away. I keep a clean and secure environment, making sure doors, gates, and leashes are always properly handled. During walks, I stay alert and avoid unsafe situations to keep your pet protected.

He went above & beyond when we were away during a big snow storm & couldn’t get home to our pets. He cleared a pathway for our dog to go outside, cleared snow away from vents attached to our home & still managed to keep our pets active & exercised in the frigid temps. We baby ours (big time), and we’ll baby yours too… silly voices and all! 📍 Location – I'm about 25-30 minutes from Verona (it's listed as my location for visibility purposes), but we have clients from all over. I also offer flexible pick-ups/drop-offs to make things easy (if needed). 🐶 Routine: I work from home so I am always here and available to care for him/her. They will be very well loved! We especially enjoy going for walks and playing in the yard. As I mentioned, I'll keep you updated throughout the stay with photos, and other updates.
