She kept everyone enriched, fed, hydrated, and happy and the photos she sent throughout the stay were amazing. Tonor and Ink looked relaxed and cozy, Hunter was his curious self, and Tux enjoyed every minute of attention (and treats!). Vanessa captured their personalities perfectly, and it was obvious they were comfortable, entertained, and loved the entire time. Communication was fast, clear, and consistent. She checked in often, sent Rover Cards, and made sure I always knew how things were going. I genuinely felt peace of mind the whole weekend. It’s rare to find someone who treats your pets with the same care you do but Vanessa really does. About: This past March, I brought home my own 10 week old puppy! I have cared for her and trained her in these past few months and she’s been great. Puppies are a handful but I would love to work with more! I’ve also walked/cared for multiple adults dogs of my neighbors and friends I currently work full time during the week so I’m looking to be available on weekends only. I have my own puppy to care for as well so I want to focus on her during the week and then feel I can find more openings to help others on the weekends At our home, it is not fenced in so the dog will be leashed the whole time. There is a public park directly in from of our house for the pup to sniff and walk/run around! It is also not fenced in so would keep them leashed at all times. Barry park is also nearby our house. For client houses, I would follow your lead on what harness/collar you deem best for your dog and the preferred type of leash. Would of course ensure they are on leash during the whole walk/outside time.

About: I've always loved working with animals, and my experience as an ASPCA intern has given me valuable hands-on experience caring for pets. I'm studying biology on the pre-vet track because my goal is to become a veterinarian, so I'm always eager to learn more about animal health and behavior. I have experience caring for cats that require daily medication and special diets, thanks to my own cat's kidney disease. I also enjoy training dogs using positive reinforcement and have taught my roommate's dog basic commands like "sit." I'm patient, reliable, and committed to making every pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their family is away. As a pre-vet biology student, pet care is an important part of my daily routine and aligns with my career goals. Every day, I make sure my cat has fresh food and water, a clean litter box, and plenty of attention and playtime. Since she has kidney disease, I also administer her medication and closely monitor her eating habits, hydration, and overall health. Throughout the week, I keep up with grooming, cleaning her living space, and ensuring she stays comfortable and happy. Caring for my cat, along with my experience as an ASPCA intern, has strengthened my passion for animal care and taught me responsibility, consistency, and the importance of recognizing changes in an animal's health. I have no furry friends at the moment and I happen to live by a spacious park and can give them all the love needed. And I am close to a community clinic as well .
